Don't shoot the messenger, but I found this restaurant to be a bit overrated and overpriced. That…read moresaid, I believe one visit isn't enough to fully judge a restaurant, and I do plan to return to try other dishes in hopes of a better experience. This was my wife's and my first visit, and overall it was underwhelming. The ambiance is definitely upscale and modern. However, the entry area felt extremely crowded, with guests waiting for reservations and tables. Inside, the décor is sleek, but the large wine displays throughout the dining rooms made certain areas feel somewhat closed off and obstructed the overall openness of the space. We were seated in a side dining room and promptly served bread with olive oil and seasonings. The bread was fresh and enjoyable, though I personally prefer a touch of balsamic vinegar alongside the oil to balance some of the bitterness. I asked for more bread (3 slices were given) and our waiter said only one bread basket is complimentary. Now, let's talk about the wine program. The restaurant boasts an extensive wine list with both standard and member pricing. As someone who owns several of the wines listed, I noticed some bottles marked up well over 100%, which felt excessive. Perhaps I'm just a bargain hunter, but it definitely stood out. My bigger concern, however, was the limited by-the-glass selection. My wife enjoys sweeter wines while I prefer bold reds, so we typically order by the glass. The bottle list offered tremendous variety, but the glass selection was surprisingly narrow. Expanding those options would greatly improve the experience for guests with different tastes. As for the food, my wife ordered the scallop risotto. The dish had good flavor, the scallops were cooked beautifully, and the risotto had a pleasant texture, although it was slightly looser than I expected. Whether that was intentional based on the rice variety used, I'm not sure, but overall it was a solid dish. I ordered the Pasta alla Ruota. The scallops were unavailable, so I substituted chicken. Unfortunately, this dish missed the mark. The pasta itself was acceptable but noticeably dry. It was finished with truffle shavings and truffle oil, yet I detected virtually no truffle flavor whatsoever. The chicken was the biggest disappointment as it was extremely dry, lacked seasoning, and honestly detracted from the entire dish. Since the pasta is prepared tableside, I chose not to send it back, but I was genuinely disappointed. My largest issue is the value proposition. The pasta was $48, plus an additional $10 for the chicken. For comparison, I've enjoyed a similar pasta dish at Gianni's inside the former Versace Mansion in South Beach for less money, and the quality there was significantly better. By the end of the evening, our dinner for two with two glasses of wine each came to just over $200 with only one complimentary bread basket offered. Considering the overall experience, we left feeling disappointed rather than impressed. As I mentioned earlier, I will return and give the restaurant another opportunity because one meal doesn't always tell the whole story. However, based on this first visit, I won't be rushing back anytime soon.

Every course was enjoyable, and there was plenty of food for the table to share. We started with the Garlic Mozzarella Bread, Toasted Ravioli, Calamari Fritti, Lomonte's Famous House Salad, and a Greco Roman pizza for the table. The garlic mozzarella bread was a hit across the table. The toasted ravioli was solid, while the calamari was delicious and cooked well, though we felt the portion size was a little small for the price. The house salad was fresh, flavorful, and one of the better restaurant salads I've had recently. For my entrée, I ordered the Beef La Crema. It comes with a 6oz fillet, mushroom risotto, and brussel sprouts. The mushroom risotto was excellent. Risotto is usually salty at restaurants, but this one was perfectly balanced and cooked nicely. The Brussels sprouts were also well executed and paired nicely with the dish. My filet came out a little more done than the medium-rare I requested, but it was still tender and flavorful. I do wish it had been slightly larger, but at 6 ounces, some shrinkage during cooking is to be expected. Overall, this was an outstanding meal with great food and a welcoming atmosphere. It's easily one of the best Italian restaurants in the area, and I'd gladly return.

Some dishes I can't have because of the alcohol or pork. But they always let you know if you tell them about dietary restrictions. It's a little loud but it's a family place it's where you go to laugh tell stories and really come together. So if you are looking for good food a casual family friendly atmosphere and don't want to drive too far. Because let's be honest these guys could be fine dining, with the overly formal atmosphere etc but these guys have been here for a very long time, and the quality of food is fantastic and they are reasonably priced. Sorry I didn't get a picture of anything but the calamari but we had the scallops with risotto and the chicken rustica. I know I've had the risotto better previously but everything was still really good.

As I high schooler in the early '80s, I worked for Lane's Trading Corner. It's long gone and is an antique / resale shop now. Anyway, we passed by BR Vino and thought to ourselves. Selves, a glass of wine would be nice as it's hot outside. So in we went. I'm horrible with names, but the co-owner greeted us and gave us a quick tour of the place. And then ordered a glass of wine and relaxed walking around and checking everything out. My wife says, "are you thinking what I'm thinking?" I said yep. I was turning 60 in a 3 months and hadn't settled on a venue for the party and this was the place. We visited with the co-owner and settled on a date and cost. We had a great time. In the next 3ish months, we visited a few times as we like hanging out there. Then the party. My wife and her sister put together a huge charcuterie table as the spread. BR Vino supplied the wines and beers. We supplied the food and soft drinks. The venue is awesome as it has a long main seating/cisiting area with 2 large scene TVs. There is a smaller middle room that has a table for more intimate setting and then out the back door is a nice outdoor seating area that is "fenced" in so the kiddos can't get away. We had about 40 people at the event and all had a great time. The owners were great hosts. Let us do our thing. I would highly recommend BR Vino for a glass of wine or a small get together. Cheers.

Watched the Astro's and drank wine while listening to 70's music. Not sure I could arrange a more perfect Saturday afternoon if I tried! You can even get your wine or beer in plastic and take it strolling around town visiting the many antique stores. We will be back.
