Good luck finding a phone number to call, it took me 10 minutes on the ap but here it is: (800-603-6000). Then you wait on hold for another 15 minutes of idiotic automated prompts to finally speak with a human. To the companies credit the actual humans working there are kind and patient - Im sure they catch flack 24/7 due to the companies atrocious services and billing systems. I know I will never see credit for months I was charged last year for non-functioning services. Their internet sucks and is way over-priced - go with Go with quantum fiber who are better (but also not awesome). Just spoke with customer service in real time and they stated "yes we have been having problems closing down accounts properly and this happens a lot" - 3rd call to fix this same issue. Also be sure to tell them they DO NOT have permission to sell your info as it seems as though the default is they do. My PSA Beware automatic payments in general as companies will happily take your money - stick with paper bills to make sure you catch these crooks trying to rip you off.

Because they make you sign up for automatic payments, you can't just pay them what you owe. They take what they want and apparently have no incentive to get it right. To get the total of $120 in overcharges back, I may have to take them to court. Why won't they refund me the overcharges they refused to stop when I caught them? Ironically, they told me that, even though I had proof that we'd completed all forms BEFORE we had service and qualified for the lower rate at that time, they "can't" refund the overcharges "retroactively." I will get that money back.

She had purchased a new phone 2 weeks prior and paid $29 to have her contacts transferred to her new phone, but unfortunately some of them were missing. When she was finally helped, the service rep replied to her, "Sure, and that will be another $29 to download your contacts again. You should have made sure you had all of your contacts before you left the store." Unbelievable and so angering to hear someone make a comment like that. How many of us would ever know that we had a contact missing, let alone a 91 yr old. They are clearly trying to rip off the elderly!

She did an internal request/follow-up on the status of the pole. Magic happened, and I received a call from "Dave" on 4/3 that the pole was to be removed about 4/6. That day came and went - nothing happened (which I have come to expect so not surprised). I receive another call from Dave 4/17 apologizing that some things got mixed up and they should be there the following week (and I also found he was having a serious medical issue and was managing this on his laptop from the Hospital). Monday, 4/20, a team showed up, moved the wires to the new pole and removed the old pole! (See Photo) While the two people that made this happen are both MORE than "5-Stars", I can't give a higher rating than 2 to Frontier due to the years that have elapsed for this to happen. I have appreciated my now-pleasing view out my kitchen window the past 2 mornings, and I want to send a HUGE personal "THANK YOU" to Teresa and Dave for your work in moving this very old mountain for me!

Two weeks ago, coming home from a trip we noticed that there was no dial tone, so we called Frontier. We got a date for a tech to come out nine days later. Quite a long time without service we are paying for, but oh well. On the day the tech was supposed to come we made sure to be home, waited all day and then found out at night that our service had been rescheduled for 12 (!) days later, which will be three weeks after we reported it. No reason, no contact! We called a number of times but either got no explanation let alone solution, or promises ("we will put you on the emergency list, someone should be there today or tomorrow") which never materialized. This isn't terrible customer service, it's NO customer service. Fortunately there are alternatives so that we can soon say goodbye to Frontier.

When I moved to Rochester, MN, I had to get various services set up. I got my cable and internet services from Charter Communications. Back then, to get them set up, you couldn't do it over the phone. In a way, I was glad because I didn't have that service set up at the time, either! I went to the closest Charter location to get both services set up. It made sense to go with cable internet at the time. I could have the same company for both my TV and internet. I went with a deluxe channel lineup for my TV. When I got a DirectTV account, I downgraded to basic channels with Charter. It worked perfectly. I don't remember any full cable outages. I always got to see my TV shows. My cable internet service wasn't perfect. When it was down, it was down. Luckily, I didn't have the need to work from home. However, when you're trying to do tasks online and you can't, it was a pain. When I moved back to Winnipeg, cancelling my services was smooth. I was pleased. I hope that internet services offered by Charter are more stable these days. Otherwise, I had a good experience with the TV side. (51)

They have so many hidden fees and costs that aren't disclosed up front. If you notice an issue on your billing statement, you won't get your money back. I had Charter internet 7 years ago and vowed I would never use their services again. Fast forward to this year, and I was swindled into a deal that sounded too good to pass up by a traveling Charter Spectrum sales rep. It has been nothing but frustration and headache trying to cancel this service. I could go on and on, but just do yourself and your sanity a favor and go with literally ANY other service than Charter Spectrum. This business needs to be formally shutdown.
