Over time, under MY terms, we slowly started to work on my neck pain and how manipulating it over time would be a benefit. He never pushed but only accepted when I said "I wanna start small" . After 3 months of working very slowly, I don't even flinch when my neck is manipulated now. My entire family goes. My husband received physical therapy services for an injury and the other side of the office was met with care and commitment to long term healing. My teenagers go when baseball season picks up and now asks for an appointment when he is sore. When my youngest can sit still, he will most likely start preventative care. Additionally what I value most is on busy days where I need to get in and out in a short amount of time, Dr. Wycoff is very good about honoring tight time commitments when he can. This keeps my consistent back pain in check while not missing out on being with my family as a working mom.

I initially visited Dr. Sheft 14 years ago with a pain in my ear. I had brought my medical files…read morewith me and for the first time, a physician took their time to review my entire file and discuss my history in detail. During his review of my files he noticed an MRI report from a 2 years earlier which showed a nodule on my thyroid. I informed him that my primary care physician is aware of it for the past 2 years and my primary care physician assured me it was nothing to be concerned about since it is most likely not cancerous. Dr. Sheft did not agree with my primary care physician's diagnosis and convinced me to have it checked. He scheduled me for an ultrasound and discovered that the nodule grew over 120% in 2 years. He ordered a biopsy and confirmed that it was a form of cancer called papillary carcinoma. I proceeded to have a surgery to have my thyroid completely removed and have been cancer free for 13 years now I will always be grateful to Dr. Sheft for his genuine care, thoroughness, thoughtfulness and professionalism. He took his time and got it right and I'm cured because of him. May god bless and protect him and his family.

Now over a year later, they send me an invoice for a "preventative checkup" which is exactly what they told me would be covered. At the checkup itself, the doctor did nothing other than ask me about 5 questions and ask me to pee in a cup. He openly told me he had no idea how he was even checking for what I needed. I'm insulted. How do you send a bill over a year later, for the first time, and you specifically told me that my "preventative checkup" would be covered. My wife is 9 months pregnant so I haven't had time to call and refute these charges either. I will update this review should anything change. I hope to be able to call tomorrow during business hours, but my wife could go into labor any moment now and that has obviously been my priority. Update: I called them and spoke with them and asked why this situation happened and I was told that the employees who told me there would be no charge to me for the "preventative checkup", and she woman on the phone told me that they lied to me at the office. She could not do anything for me, and then I asked her how I could possibly pay the bill, and she hung up on me very rudely. I called back in and spoke with someone else who nicely allowed me to pay my bill. Good riddance.

I have lived in the area for almost 40 years and watched the individual practices get swallowed up…read moreby Centrastate. I must say that Centrastate has a very efficient, thorough, and friendly "chain" of family practice offices. I have been to three of their sites and have happily selected Dr. Shira Meyer in the Freehold Borough office for my personal medical needs. The office waiting area has never been crowded and waiting times have been minimal.

I wanted to like this place, I really did. It seemed so promising from the website and the reviews…read more I went to three appointments here to treat problems with neck pain and dizziness. I've been to other physical therapists and chiropractors in my life, so I have some experience with how this should proceed. The first visit should be where the doctor assesses the damage and figures out a course of treatment, then communicates it with you at the end of the appointment. The second session is where real treatment begins. Here, Dr. Schick stretched out that assessment over what would have been at least four appointments. I was frustrated because they were not forthcoming with what they were checking for, what they thought of the results they were seeing in real time, and how they wanted to proceed with treatment. Visits would go like this: I'd arrive on time or a little early, wait for 20-30 minutes, go into a back room, see Dr. Schick for 2 minutes, wait a few more minutes for the other doctor, see her for about 2 more minutes, wait a few more minutes for Dr. Schick again, and see him for a couple more minutes. Each time a doctor came in, they'd do one thing with me, and barely communicate what it was, why they were doing it, or anything else. Then, when I expected someone to come in and actually talk to me about what they thought was going on with my neck and dizziness problems, and how they planned to treat it, instead they'd say ok next week we'll do such-and-such a test. Ummm... I'm here now, and I've had all of 6 minutes of face time with the doctors. Why aren't you doing it now?!?! I think the most positive spin you could put on this is that they simply overbook themselves because they want to bill as much as possible. Also, there were also too many people, too close together, to make me comfortable during this pandemic (and they didn't take temperatures).
