Each time that I've had an appointment scheduled, I have NEVER had to wait for my stylist to be ready. I have always been placed in a chair immediately. My hair typically gets very oily after only a few days after getting it done professionally. I didn't know what to do. In the past, I always felt like getting a wash and press was a waste of money. After speaking with my stylist, we tried one of the product lines the salon sells called Love. This product works, it's AMAZING and smells great too. I've even bought the shampoo and conditioner for my home use too. I say all of this to say, the salon delivers a great customer experience.

My gel manicures have never lasted as long and my poor feet have been grateful for her care. The mani- pedi is high end but not excessive and imho worth it. If you want to leave the planet have a facial with Farhat. She is amazing and it is an experience I have never had anywhere else. I have had facials over the years and this experience is amazing. She is very knowledgeable. I will say the price is high but I did do extra treatments , including brows and weaving. I would love to go more frequently than I do but feel it would be too extravagant . It is an out of body experience. The staff is wonderful and helpful especially Brandon at the front desk. I have my hair done up at another Currie in Glen Mills because I was living up there originally , and Kent does a wonderful job with low lights. 5 stars to Currie , and grateful they are on the waterfront across the street from my building!

I made an appointment for myself and my daughter for early Saturday morning. I appreciated that I could book online. It helped to look at the artists' work on Instagram so I would know who to book with. To be honest, everyone at this salon appears to be exceptionally skilled (based on pics). Unfortunately my appointment was canceled because the person I booked with was going to be out of town and there was a mix up with the scheduling system. I still dropped my daughter off to get her hair done bright and early Saturday morning. When we arrived the receptionist greeted us happily and was very nice. My daughter's stylist wasn't there yet so an assistant took her back to get her washed/blow dried. I appreciated this because there's nothing worse than time wasted from sitting and waiting hours for a stylist to get to you (Black women understand this struggle). However despite the stylist being late, everyone else moved swiftly to make sure my daughter was in and out of there quickly. Will definitely return!!! I went back and got a custom color/trim from CaDeidra!! So worth the amount of time I had to wait (coloring is a hell of a process). Glad I found a new home salon!

So I let my handy dandy yelp lead me to Babe styling studio. I was amazed that I was able to get a same day appointment with Ebon! I just wanted my curly hair cut dry. He was professional and I explained what I wanted done and he invited me to have a seat in his chair. But this was no ordinary chair It looked like a throne. I couldn't help but comment about it and he said that's because I take care of Queens. On my next visit I'm going to get low lights can't wait to return. Do yourself a favor make an appointment.

I made last minute reservations to go to Cielo last week for a massage, manicure and pedicure after…read moremy normal spa had to cancel last minute. I appreciated Cielo's flexibility with getting me into the schedule, the receptionist even moved some things around to make it possible. Great customer service there. Unfortunately the rest of the experience wasn't as good. I didn't see anywhere on the website that there wasn't a parking lot, and unfortunately the garage near the spa was closed for no apparent reason so finding parking was difficult. I had to ring the doorbell to get into the spa and someone came to let me in, didn't say hi and just asked me if I had an appointment before they'd let me in. The interior of the reception area was very visibly worn and outdated. It reminded me of the decor of a high end spa from the late 90s or early 00s. They had a sign on the wall saying that the spa had won Best of Delaware in 2004 which is when I think it was likely last updated. I'm not quite sure why but I had to wait about 20 minutes to get started on my services, I mostly just stood at the reception desk awkwardly as she typed away for over 15 minutes. I finally asked if she needed more time and I should sit. At that point she said we could get started. I will say this - the massage was fantastic. That, plus the schedule flexibility, is why this is a 3 star review and not 1 or 2. Again, the ambiance wasn't great - the spa area was also very old and outdated and frankly looked like it needed a good scrub down. There were coffee drips on the wall near my pedicure chair that grossed me out, some towels that looked less than fresh in the nail area and other random bits of grime throughout. Prior to the massage she brought me into a dressing room to put on a robe. I was disappointed to see they didn't have above an XL and only one XL available. Although the XL was comfortable for me I felt like it would've been awkward if I needed a bigger size or if someone had already been using the XL. I know they only had one because l was the only spa customer for the entire 4 hours. It was a bit too quiet and creepy being in the spa area alone to be honest. My pedicure and manicure were both ok but not great. I was really disappointed with the polish choices especially. There were only about 10 gel options and they had zero matching sets for gel/non-gel which is really standard at spas now. I ended up finding two that were similar. The person who did my services was nice enough but not friendly or warm. That combined with the general worn out/outdated/somewhat grimy ambiance kind of ruined the vibe for me a bit. I didn't get that same super relaxing, warm feeling I'm looking for at a spa. I will say the prices are decent. Overall I don't think I'd return given the ambiance of the spa but if you don't care about that, this might be a good place for a massage!
