So I have been trying to come more to help out. She does a great Russian manicure and have been coming for about a year. She texted me back and told me that I am confirmed for 5:30pm and they would see me then for my Russian manicure and pedicure. I left the house around 4:30pm to get food and get there early to eat. I got food and was pulling into the parking lot. I got a text telling me they were busy and I needed to come tomorrow. I was already there and I was not available on Sunday. Having my appointment scrapped for walk ins was truly disappointed. We confirmed me coming in hours ago and my appointment was scrapped. Not okay. I have been coming for this long because the work is great. They are expensive and the prices fluctuate big time. Also I bought my own gel polish to use and they told me they have it so they could charge me an extra $15 for their polish. This just really let me down and can't keep doing business like this. Many of them have been with her for years. I love my hair cuts here. I'm a guy, so that's easy. Kim works her magic on my wife and she always comes home looking amazing. Seriously amazing. She was working on another customer's cut and color by herself (she used to have someone helping with shampooing). I showed her a picture of how I wanted my haircut -- long layers, clearly blended. Unfortunately, when I got home, I noticed the layers were uneven and didn't blend well at all. The cut just didn't turn out the way I hoped, especially considering the higher price. I even called the next day to share my feedback, but she gave reasons for why it turned out that way instead of really listening. Hair will grow, but after this experience, I think it's time to find another salon that knows how to cut and blend layers properly.
