We bought a car today. Ryan was really friendly and we had a great laugh or two during the process. The staff was more than helpful. The price was right in the middle of it's value, so that is okay and financing although a bit on the high side at 4.5% (with good credit) it is workable. You may save a few bucks elsewhere, but I was very happy with the service I received. The price of the "service" of buying the car was very reasonable (I think $274 total added onto the cost) and the car itself was a 30k mile car with new tires, fresh oil change and full of gas. Overall, even with interest you'll pay slightly more than the high side of the value of the vehicle, which is fair since it is a loan. It's a fair deal in a world with so many predatory buy-here, pay-here type dealerships. Let me repeat that point. Traditional dealerships that sell new and used cars are one thing and then we imagine the dealership that expects defaults, accepts every application that comes through the door and sells cars at a huge markup. This place isn't one of the bad places that preys on the desperate. I won't discuss those places any more here. This isn't one of those places, so do not hesitate to stop in and see what they have to offer. We were very satisfied and got outstanding service and paid what was fair for the car. read more

My wife and I have been looking for a nice used vehicle for about six months. I was focused somewhat on the Jeep Grand Cherokee, but about a week ago we spotted a 2017 Ford Explorer XLT. First impression was that it was immaculately detailed. I actually talked with Nick, Don and Max (all family members). After a test drive we purchased thru Max. Wow!! That's the best description I can give about my experience. Not only did Jacobson find the car I was looking for--in my first choice of color--but they gave me a better deal on my trade-in than another, larger dealership was willing to give me. Additionally, there was no pressure to buy--again, very unlike the other place. They listened to my questions, and when we picked up my car Max spent a great deal of time sitting in the car with me to go over all the features. I can honestly say they have customers for life. The experience of communicating with Max at Jacobson auto sales was so refreshing, that we drove up from Chicago to buy the car. There are three things that stood out in my experience with Jacobson: 1. Max returned phone calls and emails promptly. The six other dealers whom I corresponded with failed to do so. 2.
