Never tried the buffet but the food ordered on the menu has been constantly good. Surprising considering this is an airport hotel restaurant. Decor/atmosphere is nothing special but always clean. No sticky tables like the restaurants inside the terminals. Service is attentive. Hard pressed to find anything better nearby in the area. This is a standard hotel restaurant. Fancy decor, middle of the road menu, fairly well executed and slightly higher prices. My pork chop was nicely cooked and topped with berries which was a novel way to accompany the meat. In England they use apple sauce, but this was great. The carrots were very easy on the eye...neatly peeled with the tops trimmed, but they were still raw! I like crunch, but this was too much. The mashed potatoes were good and more-ish - I wonder how much cream was added. ;) The bonus was my Foursquare check-in gained new a free dessert! I had to make room for that! read more

Decent hotel restaurant fare. During a one night layover stay at the Hyatt Regency, I found there were little options for food in the hotel. I ate lunch here out of convenience. Upon walking in, I liked the decor - hanging airplanes, metal accents, and brown and orange colors. The hotel appeared busy in the hallways, but the restaurant itself did not have much business, at least at lunchtime. It was near empty while I was there. Going for something on the healthier side of the menu options, I tried a simple strawberry salad for $9. No added meat (grilled chicken and gulf shrimp were available for $4 more). The mixed greens and strawberries tasted fresh, while the balsamic vinaigrette drizzled on top was just okay. Too bitter for my taste. I did like the candied pecans though. They gave a nice crunchy texture to the salad. As the main restaurant in the Hyatt Regency, it's hard to avoid eating here, unless I held my appetite for the on-airport restaurants. read more

Pretty decent restaurant at the Hyatt DFW. Service was great and food was pretty good. Atmosphere is kind of belwo what the price range would suggest. I ordered a salmon dish with fingerling potatoes, spinach, mushrooms and crab. Everything was delicious besides the potatoes which were luke warm and under-seasoned. For desert I ordered the decedent flourless chocolate cake which was divine. Wine and cocktail list was also pretty decent. I recommend eating here a nice dinner. Side note: 90% of patrons were doing the buffet special, which included fried chicken, creamed corn etc. read more

The food is decent and the presentation is somewhat impressive. It is the only thing that increased my rating. I was not impressed with the restaurant's staff. It doesn't matter how good the food is if the staff doesn't have some level of professionalism. From the moment I walked towards the restaurant from the hotel lobby I felt degraded. The hostess was very snooty when she sat me. After I ordered dinner, the waitress walked by several times and didn't ask if I needed anything while I waited. I sat there for a good while before I even received a refill on my water. The staff ruined my last night in Texas with absolutely no "southern hospitality". The only reason I tipped as much as I did was because my employer requests it. I stayed at the hotel in April and am still upset with my experience at Jacob's. It was that bad and have recommended to my co-workers to never eat there. read more
