After having a recommendation of the kebabs here, I went for a Saturday night drunken kebab and…read morethought I'd try it out. I ordered through Just Eat, and was a little unimpressed with the food arriving about 10/15 minutes later than it said it would, especially when the times given on Just Eat tend to be very generous and I'm used to it arriving before the stated time. Anyway, once it was delivered by a very friendly man, I cracked it open and was immediately impressed. I'd gone for the mixed grill kebab on naan, and the meat looked fantastic. It came with 2 little tubs of sauces too - one was a tasty chilli sauce and the other tasted like a raita that wasn't too intense. So I threw them both all over the kebab! This turned out to be a good move, and the combo worked brilliantly. With kebabs in general the sauce is all important for me, so I was already a fan once I'd tasted that! The meat was excellent too - cooked perfectly and was very tasty. The only bad point here was that one of the pieces had a massive bone in it which was pretty annoying, and I don't know if this was intentional or an accident. Either way, as annoying as it was it didn't spoil everything. Overall then it was definitely a 4* kebab, and I will be dipping in again at some point in the near future.

In yet another foodless escapade in the pad, mixed in with the growing laziness I feel in these…read morewinter months, a few friends and I chose to order pizza. Trying somewhere new from the myriad options -- some with temptingly terrible names -- is always a gambit. I don't want to exaggerate with some crap simile, like "leap of faith", since that is much too grandiose for what is essentially "risking" a bad bit of bread and tomato sauce with cheese. Even calling it a "risk" really is being silly. But I was hungry and consider myself a foodie and I like eating nice things. So I was worried. The pun won the day. (Check the name.) And by gum, I hate a bad pun. No, I really do. I mean, at least it's "crust in time", like, it delivered just in time to deliver me from hunger -- it's got legs, okay. It's not "take another little pizza my heart" when pizza has nothing to do with either Janis Joplin nor heartbreak. Not really. I mean, come on. That's awful. ANYWAY. In just over the given time, our pies arrived. Hurrah! I had ordered a pepperoni and added donner meat (srsly, don't judge) and mushrooms. It was a perfectly reasonably made pizza. I wouldn't have called it incredible but it was definitely not terrible. Not too doughy, certainly on the thin crust end, but not as greasy-good as, say, Lucky's. Definitely better for you than them, and their garlic dip is better -- pretty toxic, in fact. I feel like they squeezed that garlic puree into some mayo. I'm not complaining; I love garlic. The conclusion? A solid shout, for sure. They're not my number one, but they're absolutely worth a look. Especially with deals like two 12" classics for £10.
