Oh my gosh.... the hot off the press donuts!!! You get to try one free donut and then we bought a dozen to take with us. The kids maze was so fun for nephews. My sister and I loved the sunflower maze. There was a hayride, mums, pumpkins, apples, it was so wonderful. I preferred the peach slush. Fun afternoon for solo time or family. Also ask for the season family pass for activities.

We love Jacobs! We always have family fun picking out our pumpkins every year. This year they have expanded some fun areas for the kids. We never leave without getting some apple cider, donuts, and cider slushies. This year we decided to get the peach crisp, we will not be getting that again. It was $25 and took two hours to not be a watery mess. The flavor was not great either. So maybe skip that. Other than that it's always a good time at Jacob's!

Local love coming here every year for the sunflower maze, the BEST apple cider donuts, and apple cider slushes. I was so happy to see so many apples for sale after a rough season last year due to a late frost. My absolute favorite thing to do is pick out my own pumpkins to decorate my porch with every year. They always last for months. I do recommend coming early in the day and early in the season for the best selection. I went at 9 am on a Saturday, and there were only a few people around. The park lots can fill up quickly though. Make sure you get your free donut sample inside the store! If your not feeling a slush they sell hot cider as well.

We frequent Jacobs for their fresh donuts. They are amazing! Visitors get a free donut when they visit. Warning: you'll leave buying a dozen or two if you eat the free donut. LOL. $8 for a dozen. On the weekends they serve unique ice cream treats like pumpkin flavors, coffee milkshakes, and donut crumble ice cream stuff - but weekends only. They usually post their specials on their Facebook page. Apple cider slushies are always available. Their market has fresh produce and apple cider available. In the Fall pumpkins are available. A sunflower trail and apple picking, as well as a kid's play area for an admission fee.

So this year, we finally got to enjoy it again, as a family. But this year, grandbabies joined us! At $5 a head, we had an enjoyable afternoon together. We didn't check out the corn maze, nor do pony rides. But we did enjoy some prime family photo time in the pumpkin patch, while picking out a few small pumpkins for the grand daughters. Compared to the cost of pumpkins in the store, they are a little higher. But you do get the experience of picking your own and supporting a local small business. Our granddaughter that's mobile enjoyed every bit of the sensory buffet available. From the play equipment, to dancing to the live music, and petting and interacting with the farm animals. She had a great time sliding down the huge pile of hay, over and over, by the pumpkin patch. We found the concessions to be a bit of a bummer. They didn't offer a lot of the great fall treats like they use to. And you can only use a card if you're spending at least $5. So when we all started to get thirsty and have the nibbles, we left and moved to our next destination.

They responded to all of my emails with the questions I had very quickly. The cabin sits off the side of their house w/ a porch looking out towards the farm. The inside of the cabin has two open bed rooms that are adjoining w/sliding doors that open up to a closet area between the two. While the cabin doesn't have central a/c there is a machine that works as an a/c, a heater, and a dehumidifier. We visited during the summer and this kept the cabin cool. The main room has a couch/trundle bed so you can sleep an extra 2 guests, as well as a dining table (plates, cups, utensils and some cookware available to use). I suggest bringing what you need as far as cooking utensils go, however Jennifer helped us get whatever we needed that we didn't bring. There is a sink, a microwave and a full size fridge, and while there isn't an oven/stove there is a griddle in the cabin that worked very well for us and a grill outside available to use. There were towels and rags for us in the bathroom which was nice since that's just one less thing we had to tote along with us. There is a great one person, jacuzzi tub that I called dibs on as soon as I got there. Very relaxing. Outside there is also a fire pit with bench seating, great for s'mores or telling scary ghost stories. Do yourself a favor and opt in for the hands on farm experience! Gather eggs, milk a goat and/or sheep, help feed the animals and get to meet them one on one, Alpacas, pigs, miniature horses, donkeys, chickens, ducks, goats, sheep! Not only is is fun but interesting. You'll learn all kinds of info about each and running a farm. We also got farm fresh duck and chicken eggs that we made for breakfast in the morning, YUMMY! We're hoping to come back for their fall festival if we're still in the area. Thanks again for hosting us, we are so appreciative of everything you guys did to make sure we had a wonderful experience.

This is a nice retreat from city life to rural country in Indiana. (We were passing through from Chicago.) After the brief tour, you can walk around the property and say hello to the pig, cats, goats, lambs, chickens, donkeys, mules, alpacas, and more. This was a unique and wonderful experience. It was so peaceful watching the sunset while admiring the amazing country fields around you. We can't wait to return. Do yourself a favor and stay here!
