Also has jewelry and other home made items. Fruits and vegetables that are all home grown. Who doesn't love getting local made or grown items at very low prices. This is the perfect time from 8 to 11am every Saturday morning. To make it even better everyone is extremely friendly and loves to talk about the items they have. It is closing up for the season soon, but can't wait to see everyone next year.

Apples hare the reason we keep coming back. So many varieties and helpful information about each. Their rewards program have worked out well for us. The lunches during summer are a good reason to bring a group. They have fresh service down to a science. Parking is well managed. For us it is important to be close since some of our 65+ YOs can't travel too far. Restrooms are sufficient and immaculate! Strongly recommend you don't bypass this location during off season. A great location for butters, jellies, jams, baked goods and frozen Fisher meats. Plus if you are seeking frozen fruits their freezer section is terrific.

In good weather it is outside, in rainy weather they go inside to the old school gymnasium. It's perfect! This is a small farmers market but there are several faithful vendors I love including Asparagus Annie's (their own produce, breads, pies and sometimes crafts), a local farm with their own vegetables and meats (try the sausages), local honey from Wildflower Ridge and local artisans with jewelry, art, homemade cards and more. You get the flavor (ha!) so come check it out yourself and support our local growers!

However, there is a BBQ tent with a smoker and freshly made BBQ. Also both MUGS & Jackrabbit Coffee have locations here. So it's definitely worth a coffee stop on Saturdays, plus you get a chance to shop from local independent merchants. MUGS was offering a free coffee or a free breakfast burrito today. I got the burrito. It was cheesy with eggs and sausage and veggies-- a $4 value for free. You can also get a coupon for next Saturday too.

The Saxony Farmers Market was a great destination for our afternoon activity! Located in the…read moreparking lot across from Jack's Donuts, Saxony Market is smaller than the Farmer's Market in downtown Fishers, but it was a lot of unique offerings packed into the small area. That being said, I never felt cramped or claustrophobic, even when surrounded by all the booths and food trucks. There's picnic tables and a field to relax and enjoy a snack, and there's a playground behind the market for the kids to blow off some steam. Every step of your Farmers Market journey is accompanied by live music, performed by a very talented duo. Everyone manning the booths were extremely polite and welcoming, and I made sure to try every free sample I was offered! We got some strawberry bread (an Amish Friendship Bread with strawberry purée and vanilla pudding) from the Amish County Dairy, and I also sampled the blueberry milk. (I know, it sounds weird, but it was delicious!) We were tempted to buy some fresh produce, but unfortunately I went food shopping earlier today and I didn't need to buy any more fruit! The Fishers Parks Department was advertising upcoming events in our area (Monsoon Madness is Saturday, July 22!) and offering free ice cream sandwiches!!! That's right. ICE CREAM SANDWICHES. For FREE!! What could be better than that? I cannot wait to come back to the Saxony Market!

This particular market is tiny and has a very small offering. It'll take you ten mins to walk thru and see all the booths. There were only a couple of farmers with a small sampling of produce. Nothing incredibly inviting, honestly. We enjoyed some cotton candy, a Kona ice, and sampled some MLM products. There's a nice playground where the kiddos seem to be having a ball. I was disappointed in what I found, but will try again before it closes at the end of September.

We hosted our 25th wedding anniversary at Teter in July of 2023. We rented the entire complex for…read morethe weekend, including the 4 cabin spaces, the lodge and the pavilion. Friends and family dropped by to enjoy the gathering, food and games. Kids were free to roam and play, and adults were free to reminisce and renew connections. It was a beautiful and rich time for us, and the site was perfect. My nephews rented the cabins, we were able to spend time with their wives all the grand nephews as well. The lodge worked well for serving food and for after hours relaxation.

I Love being a CSA member here! Every time I pick up my vegetables, I see the volunteers that help…read morestaff the farm, and I see how much my membership supports. The farms primary mission is to help fight food insecurity in Hamilton County and to provide nutrient rich organic vegetables to our local food bank. It is primarily staffed by volunteers, and I am one of them. I see people who believe in this mission out there working their butts off to help other people they will never know. That brings a tear to my eye. The vegetables are always first class, and last much longer than anything you can buy in local stores. I know where they are grown, I can walk among the fields and touch the carrot tops, I can smile at the chickens. They have gorgeous flowers starting this year that are part of the CSA membership. Get your veggies, get some flowers for your table. They have honey also, with a beekeeper who is dedicated to helping the farms mission. Too often when we think of what we receive, we judge it by its value against other similar items. In this case, with the volunteers that staff most of the farm, and the mission to fight food insecurity, there are no other veggies like this in Hamilton County. When comparing to a farmers market, it helps to understand that other local farms are not helping to feed the hungry, and are also not trying to grow sustainably. Teter is. Today however they upset me so much I have decided not to return! I worked out around 8 and got to Fresh Thyme about 9:30 . The lady behind the counter was doing something and I asked what time the deli opened. The sign said they were closed! You would have thought I asked her for her wallet! If looks could kill I would be pushing up daisies! She then said. What can I get you? I said my wife likes the oven roast rotisserie. Again, the look! Then she said they don't offer it anymore. Oh, sorry. Now I have to pick something I think my wife will like. I made the selection and said I have to have it shaved. She noticeably looked at me with disgust! I looked at her and said never mind. I went over to the meat counter and it was closed! I looked at a lady in the next aisle and said these people need to figure out how to get out of bed in the morning! She looked at me and said isn't someone back there? I thought if they were back there would the entire meat counter be covered up. Enough! I said. I'm over trying to be a good customer! The prices are too high to be putting up with nonsense!
