The brisket was very delicious and juicy, but like all beef in the UK, very expensive and very small portions. Not very Texas, but I get it. The ribs were just as good and it felt like more value. The biggest difference was in the sides. Vinegar in London is not like in Texas. The potato salad was not what I expected, and the pickle packed a lot more punch. It's run by a couple of young men and they bring a true dedication to this business. Fabulous range and quality of beers and excellent, simple food. In times when other pubs struggle and go out of business this place is thriving and deservedly so. There are a number of these types of pubs that have appeared in Oxford These places have a good clientel who enjoy the atmosphere and the banter. It's like the re-invention of the pub with all the bad old thuggish bits taken out and the wonderful traditional bits kept in. This will be the saviour of the British pub which is otherwise under siege on all sides.
