I like Dr. DePaso my wife is his patient . That said ,getting anything out of the office( Northwest…read moreallied physicians) is next to impossible . If you call you never get anyone just a machine or several machines with a call back promised but it does not happen the majority of the time. Oh by the way he is retiring and patients have not been notified yet? I have heard many times in the Tucson area that people like their doctors , but can not stand dealing withe front office. The front offices are killing businesses. I use the Tucson VA and do not experience any of the problems above.

This is more a review on the whole medical office, not just one specific doctor. Doctor DePaso was…read moremy doctor for years, he was okay, not super helpful, did the bare minimum to help me as a patient. I needed refills on asthma medication and it was like pulling teeth trying to reach anyone in that office. When calling, I guarantee you will have to leave a voicemail and consider yourself lucky if you hear back at all. I have new doctor through that same medical office, and on a day where I was in the middle of a severe asthma attack, I was leaving voicemails all morning, didn't receive a call back until 4-5 hours later from his MA saying "he's not in the office today and I'm off in 30 minutes so even if I was to send him a message, He wouldn't get it" basically, good luck. I ended up being rushed to the ER 2 hours later in respiratory distress. I'm only sharing this very personal story so that no one else ever has to feel like their doctors don't care about them. Do yourself a favor, unless you have no health issues and you only go to this office for sports physicals and a yearly check up, go to an office that cares about you and your life.

I was there for an establishing care appointment. The whole appointment seemed very rushed, dont get me wrong I understand theres a lot to go through in an establishing care appointment but no where else have I felt THIS rushed to get through it all. So rushed that I skipped over the main reason I was even getting a new primary which was to potentially get a referral to a nutritionist for my high A1C and to sign a work release form. So she leaves the room abruptly after signing the medical release, apparently we were done with the rundown and the appointment was over. I go out to one of the assistants at the desks and say, I have a few questions about my A1C that werent addressed. Annoyed, the assistant said she would let the doctor know to come back around after she was done with her other patient or task or something. I finished my entire intake form and waited a good 20 minutes total. As the time kept ticking I thought they mightve forgot about me so I stepped outside of the exam room just to find out that apparently they did. Both the doctor and the assistant are sitting infront of computers, eating chips & gossiping. I said to the assistant," I will just figure it out myself." And left. Gave my intake form to the other desk attendant and left. I dont think Ill be back either. Out of everywhere Ive been all over tucson, this was the absolute worst experience I've ever had at any banner establishment ever. I typically really like banner offices, (banner hospitals and ERs had a bad lawsuit back in like 2022-2023 and botched my moms leg trauma stitches so I dont ever go there for emergencies) but this office, felt like it had worse quality of care than the hospitals. Like patients are just little lab rats to round on before you can get back to your normal tasks. I did not feel like they saw me as a human, rather just their job; which was extremely out of character for banner offices to me. I notice the Banners on houghton around rita ranch are the ones that have the most people with disengaged, careless attitudes. As if youre just another task to complete. 2 stars are for the nice desk ladies.

I haven't found many Christian doctors but he is and that's a plus for me. He helped me through a very difficult time when my baby died. Also, he saved my Dad's life by doing a very important screening exam. If he didn't do that exam my father would no longer be here and that's no lie. My husband had a rare scalp disease and he also helped us get through that and find someone who could help him. So for my family, he's been a God-send and we are very thankful that he is our physician.

I have been seeing Dr. Tompkins for about two years and mostly he stares at his laptop, which doesn't seem to have that much correct information on it - random medications have been on my record (that I never took or even know what they are). In the latest episode, I am 37 weeks pregnant and have been experiencing a horrible sinus infection for three weeks. I went to see him four days after the symptoms began, he ran strep and mono tests that came back negative and told me it must be a virus, call if it isn't done in 7 more days. I called and explained that not only is it not gone, I now have pain in my upper jaw and left side of my face. He then prescribed an antibiotic, saying I should finish it and contact him if it didn't clear up by the time that was complete. I completed the antibiotic on a Sunday (still feeling awful and still pregnant) and called his office at 8am on the following Monday. I did not hear back from him until 9:00 that night and that was after my husband called twice to complain. I called Tuesday morning at 8am and he can't see me until Thursday. Really??

Patient Care is DEAD. Shame on you Dr. Laguillo and all…read morestaff! I've been a patient over 10 years when Dr. Laguillo use to work for Carondelet Medical Group in Sahuarita and transitioned to TMC One in Vail where I followed from Dove Mountain... yup, Traveled about an hour away to my appointments. The staff has always been rude and struggled to communicate with patients which I got use to lol. Sadly! I'm not good with change and so I tough it out when it comes to my health. The office is open Monday - Wednesday 8am - 7pm Thursday- Friday 8am - 12noon Called my doctors office after 3pm spoke to the after hour service due to extreme abdominal pain. NEVER received a call back, EVER! Went the whole weekend in pain.. Called again on Monday left a message still NO call back again I'm in pain.. and NO I don't want to go to urgent care pay copay for antibiotics, that's all they ever do. Called again Tuesday spoke to receptionist who stated my prescription is in the MAIL WHAT? No call no communication meanwhile I'm sitting at urgent care Tuesday with a severe uti restricting my urination and my RX is in the mail.. WOW.., way to GO super stars! Weird.. cause every other time it's been electronically submitted.. especially since COVID, paper is not ideal per CDC guidelines! Thanks for the extra days in mystery begging for a RX during covid and limited walk-ins. Still don't have any answers only a letter of termination and my script. YOU heard that right, Dr. Laguillo wrote me a letter from TMC One dismissing me as a patient.. for what? Making you do your job which should be taking care of your patients. Wasn't ever coming back after putting up with crap for way to long. This kind of behavior is and was intentional based off protocol. This is not common medical practice.. Definitely recommend training and basic kindness! Good bye forever! Thank God.

However, I have had ongoing issues with the office staff in getting my referrals done for specialists that I need to see. It has been an issue 3 times this year. The other problem is I am unable to ever book an appointment to see Dr. Laguillo when I am ill. I am told he is always 2 months out with appointments and if I am ill to go to an urgent care (per office staff). I live in Benson and if I need medical care, I have to go to the ER at Benson Hospital. This is not cost effective for the insurance company and for myself. Because of this, I will be using a new Primary Care Physician for 2020. Dr Laguillo is awesome if you can get in to see him. I am leaving the TMC system. Done!
