I have had many tests, and even a trial in the US but never really found anything that worked. I now realize that it was because that the US providers missed important things - for instance I have tinnitus in my ears and I am now SURE that their testing with simple "beeps" was giving erroneous data because I was "guessing" and giving false positives when I interpreted my tinnitus as a beep. The gentlemen here (the first to do so ever!) saw through this and tested me with "warbles" - problem solved. We got good data. Then he had my wife talk to me through the headset he was using - and then adjusted the headset to give the same effects as would the correctly prescribed hearing aid. FIRST TIME EVER - night and day difference. Just took delivery of my new Oticon hearing aids today - awesome! These guys really do a good job. Expensive- but problem solved and with a 2 year warranty plus my insurance for loss, damage and after the first 2 years repair (around 100 pounds per annum) I think I am set for years!

The technician was late starting my 45 minute appointment by between 10 and 15 minutes. I asked the technician if she could apply gel instead of normal polish because I hadn't taken appropriate footwear. I was told that there was insufficient time to apply gel. That was fine. As a result I said there was no point painting my nails as I had to put books back on. This was fine by me too. However, the whole procedure took only 25 minutes and I had paid and was back home by the time my appointment was due to finish. It just felt very rushed as if trying to catch up for the technician's next appointment. I did query at reception about the duration of the appointment and whether it would still be full price as I had not had the nails painted. Initially, I was told that's the price with or without Polish and regardless of the time the procedure took. I was left feeling very uncomfortable at that point and I just wanted to leave the salon. The technician did offer to reduce the balance when I queried it, but by that time I just wanted to pay and leave. I have never, in all the appointments I have been to felt this way. We have documented receipts from the numerous meetings we had with your so called management team. In regard to his fractured wrist my daughter phoned the CPN to go in and look at her dad's wrist. Straight away she could tell it was damaged and as such needed an X-ray asap. I did bring a card, chocolate and flowers because I was under the misconception you were going to abide by your promise he would be given the care needed. You knew how upset he got when strangers tried to strip him off to shower him, hence the reason why I was upset to walk in and find hubby crying and distraught because you allowed two agency staff to do this. When questioned your G.M accused me of lying, shouting at me when doing so. She knew I wasn't lying but being her usual unprofessional self this was her usual form of defence. I admit I did stand at the door blocking her exit. My strategy being to make her answer my questions instead of removing herself from the situation as has happened in the past! I stand by my words the Manager and G.M leave a lot to be desired in regard to behaving like the professionals they should be. Care staff are beyond reproach in how they respected my husband, sadly, you didn't My husband is now safe, secure and looked after properly where he is now, not had one issue due to the fact it is run by professionals who care more about their residents than their ego!
