I booked an express pedi for today 8th October. I forgot to take flip flops and was wearing boots.... not ideal. My mistake.
The technician was late starting my 45 minute appointment by between 10 and 15 minutes.
I asked the technician if she could apply gel instead of normal polish because I hadn't taken appropriate footwear. I was told that there was insufficient time to apply gel.
That was fine. As a result I said there was no point painting my nails as I had to put books back on.
This was fine by me too. However, the whole procedure took only 25 minutes and I had paid and was back home by the time my appointment was due to finish. It just felt very rushed as if trying to catch up for the technician's next appointment.
I did query at reception about the duration of the appointment and whether it would still be full price as I had not had the nails painted.
Initially, I was told that's the price with or without Polish and regardless of the time the procedure took. I was left feeling very uncomfortable at that point and I just wanted to leave the salon.
The technician did offer to reduce the balance when I queried it, but by that time I just wanted to pay and leave.
I have never, in all the appointments I have been to felt this way. Really quite disappointed after I had a lovely relaxing eyebrow lamination previous to the express pedi read more
