BIG fan of this farmer's market. I stumbled upon it on Sunday 8/31/25 and per my Airbnb host it…read morehappens every Sunday (not sure about winter etc tho). But it was mad cute! There were a lot of local stands, the whole market is like 3-4 blocks long. There were cute stores behind the vendors too, eg restaurants and I saw a tea place (was bomb!!) and a bookstore/coffee shop. Of note all parking was pretty much parallel along the street but it was free. I didn't see any public bathrooms, but most of the shops seem to have one (I went at a coffee shop). Overall if visiting crested butte and in town on a weekend, you should totally hit up this farmer's market! It's adorable and they have super cute stuff, some of which is reasonably priced.

DESCRIPTION: The Crested Butte Farmers' Market brings…read morevendors representing local farmers, ranchers, artisanal food producers, and craftspeople to town every Sunday between 9 and 2. The farmers' market only operates during warm weather season, and can be found at the far end of Elk Avenue at the intersection of 2nd. Exact dates of operation can be found on market's website. Vendors change every season, with many vendors participating annually. A list of current vendors can also be found on the Crested Butte Farmers' Market website, and include kombucha producers, organic vegetable farmers, gluten-free bakers, potters, and picklers. EXPERIENCE: The farmers' market allows broader access to grocery and gift items, reduces the need to travel far, introduces residents to new products, and provides opportunity to support regional small businesses. This is particularly welcoming to me when I have spent weeks in Crested Butte, at which point I begin to feel I have learned the inventory of all the town's stores! As one example of a visiting business, during a recent visit I passed by Doughp Pizza Company and turned around when I saw people walking by with plates of pizzas. Although we had some pizza leftovers in the kitchen, I just had to experience the "OutKast" pizza -- creamy/gooey Brie and fresh mozzarella are topped with crisp apple slices and arugula, and drizzled with hot honey. The crust is chewy and puffy at the edges, and is quickly cooked in a wood-fired oven near the eye catching disco ball-adorned shed.

Gone are the ski days of eating a sandwich from my pocket. Ski areas have really changed. My new…read morefavorite spot is The Divvy. The sandwiches are so tasty, fresh ingredients and awesome buns. Having had the sandwiches a couple times, I decided to try the salad version of the sandwiches. The Bok Bok salad was so good!! Service was excellent, they really care, and the atmosphere is nice. Look forward to trying their dinners, heard great reviews. Highly recommend, in the Mountain Square across from the ticket center We love the lunch menu, but last night we tried the dinner menu, it was so good. The menu has an Asian fusion twist. We shared a starter of charred peppers in a delicious salsa of herbs, peanuts, so good. We chose the duck confit, and oyster mushrooms. The dishes come with Chinese steamed buns, lettuce to make wraps and all the condiments, pickled veggies, kimchi, and sauces. This menu is so innovative and different, can't wait to try some of the other combos. We had a nice Oregon Pinot Noir, but next time will try one of their craft cocktails. The service is very friendly, the owner/chef really makes this place. Atmosphere is nice, I highly recommend this restaurant for lunch or dinner.

They specialize in live fire cooking and we were lucky enough to get a booth right across from the action as you will see in the pics. They use a mix of red and white oak to control the heat along with a series of movable grill plates. We started with a delicious Strawberry Salad that also had watermelon radish and delicate greens lightly tossed in a vinaigrette. Coming from Arizona, I had to try the Pozole and thrilled I did. The rich red broth gave light to the chili heart of this very complex liquid. The pozole had great texture and the shredded pork was tender and outstanding. An excellent example of this favorite dish. The most amazing entree was the main course. It was a shareable Half Elk Rack. While I like medium rare, when it was brought to the table, I thought it might be too rare. As soon as I tasted it, I realized it was perfection. It was so tender and the chew was great, especially on the end pieces that had an incredible bark on the outside. Elk is an extremely lean dish so to add some unctuous notes, they take Fois Gras, and as the fat renders, add huckleberries before putting it in a blender to create a heavenly base. We couldn't resist dragging every bite across the serving plate to savor the magic. As a side dish, we ordered the squash which was also perfectly roasted over the live fire and complimented the dish.

I liked how it actually had N/A liquor in it. My husband got the SECRET GARDEN - loved the lavender earl gray. For a starter, we split the BAHN MI QUAIL - super inventive, never had quail before. Kind of hard to eat around the small bones but loved the stuffed flavors! For dinner, we shared two dishes: ELK SAUSAGE & PEPPERS PASTA and PORK CHOP. The pasta was very so-so, nothing that blew me away. However, the pork chop was super tasty - loved the sauce. For dessert, we shared limoncello sorbet - perfect amount of refreshing and loved the fun strawberry powder! Our server was super nice and attentive. Really nice experience overall!
