We came into Crested Butte for the night because they were expecting 7-11 inches of fresh powder…read more We've been going from state to state and mountain to mountain powder searching. I started searching for a place to eat up here and everything had 2 stars and all the reviews were negative about the food and everything else. Stumbled upon this place online and it had 5 stars and great reviews. I was a little skeptical because no restaurant ever has 5 stars. Gave it a shot and couldn't have been more happy. I sat at the bar and the staff was very friendly and easygoing. I had the Wings and the Fried chicken. Once I got the fried chicken I kind of thought to myself I'm an idiot because I got wings for an app and now more chicken lol. Both were amazing and the gravy on the fried chicken was out of this world. I got the pot roast to go for a friend of mine who was in the hotel because he wasn't feeling to well. He said it was out of this world. Mind you we've been going from hotel to hotel on this powder search. All in all this place was amazing. Thank you.

The Divvy delivers with flying colors on goodness, fresh, yummy, and super delish. Stop by and grab a drink. They have a great list of beer, wine, and some craft cocktails too! You'll watch some totally rad extreme skiing on the big screen while you inhale your sandwich and chips. I ate here twice during my recent trip and I will keep going back again and again for lunch! The dinner menu looks really nice and from the incredible quality and attention they put into their sandwiches, I will expect that the dinner will be incredible. If you want something better than the standard mountain burger and greasy lunch then walk over to the Divvy and enjoy the yummy-goodness!

Weapons of choice…read morewere the Mexican Discada trio of street tacos filled with hearty veggies with a side of house made salsa! The rainbow wrap was filled with veggies and an awesome flavor war between the beet hummus and ginger tahini sauce. The Buddha Bowl was the favorite of all these delicious entrees. Great portion of veggies smothered in their Thai peanut sauce!!!! We ate their twice during the festival, if y'all have the chance to eat some grub from this spot do it! All the staff were BA's, hope to cross paths again one day!

I learned about Mindful Roots when Carrie catered an event with jackfruit chili and all the fixings. It was *the best* chili I've ever had. Soooo many vegetables!! I decided to start ordering delivery from Carrie because I realized that my typical millennial diet (charcuterie) was not serving me and that I'd probably get scurvy. With grocery costs going up and fatigue at the end of the day, I just never found myself wanting to cook. The meals are soooo delicious and way better than what I could prepare on my own for three cost or with my skill set Overall, I totally 100% recommend checking out mindful roots because it's not only great food/quality, but we are supporting a local business! And we're helping by not consuming meat all the time do not miss out on the amazing oatmeals, they are superb!! Like dessert for breakfast (but healthy!)

On the men's side they feature top brands such as Kuhl, Mountain Khakis, Outdoor Research, Royal Robbins, Smart Wool, etc. at reasonable prices. The sale rack always has good finds. Staff is extremely knowledgeable & friendly. My girlfriend loves this store, as it does have super cute yet functional women's clothing. I understand the need for paying the bills while the season is going on, but there's no need to charge $50 or more for a crappy t-shirt! The Mountain Store is very reasonably priced, well organized, with a large selection of soft goods, hats, scarfs, t-shirts, and other gifts or memorabilia for your memories. The lady who works there was wonderful and has a great sense of humor (she didn't seem to want to kick me out at any time which is impressive!). She was also very helpful getting me hooked up with a new leather hat. The hat is very well made and good quality, other stores in town wanted hundreds of dollars more for essentially the same hat as the $50 one I bought. The ladies bought t-shirts, shot glasses and other gifts for friends back home at equally good values. I really don't mind paying a little more from a local business especially in a ski resort town but most of the stores I visited left me feeling financially impaled. I didn't see anything in The Mountain Store that was overpriced or gave me a"gouged" sensation.

Super friendly service and very accommodating for my no dairy requirements. I had the veggie burger, which was probably the best veggie burger I've ever had. This thing was so fresh tasting, there's no way it was prepared from being frozen. Full of quinoa, corn, etc. super duper delicious remoulade on a really good gourmet bun. Of course, I forgot to take a pic, but, I did manage to document my eating mates selections. See those pics - albeit, half eaten. Upgrade your order to the sweet potato tots, don't even hesitate, they're healthy and come with a mustard seed aioli sauce that makes the whole meal 360 degrees of scrumptiousness. I wish I had room in my pie hole for the donut ice cream sandwich - my only regret. Go off your intended route to try this place. McDonald's and Taco Bell don't need you. There's lovely tables and chairs under the trees that are clean and stocked with napkins and hand sanitizer. A really nice break in our trip!

They have a nice sized patio area with about 7 spaced out tables and a couple of chairs for the to go orders. There is a huge pine tree for shade as well. Simple menu written on a chalk board because it varies daily. The prices seem appropriate for a quality food truck and for the area as well. I was already debating the Philly or the shrimp poboy depending on what they had and it turned out to be the poboy. Order didn't take long and then my huge sandwich arrived. It came with a small bag of chips, but the sandwich itself is huge and loaded. The sandwich is on a soft hogie rather than the traditional french type of bread, but it's delicious and fresh . The shrimp (plump, perfectly cooked and plenty) is in a kind of dark cajun remoulade mixed with bacon and sauteed onions with multi colored bell peppers. Oh, and it has lettuce so you don't feel bad about eating it all in one sitting! :) Overall, I loved it! Bursting with flavor in every bite! Felt more like a Cajun shrimp Philly minus the cheese. Only if I was to be the one to name it of course! There is no such thing as a shrimp Philly though...yet! Oh, and ask for a fork or to have them cut it in half or you will be using way more napkins than necessary! ;-) Met Kevin, ones of the owners and he was very nice and easy to talk to. Nice place to stop if you are passing through or if you are a local, what are you waiting for!? Try them out before they go on their winter vacation! :) Or just make sure you try them out when you get a chance. They'll be back. I hope!
