I planned to grab dinner from Jackson Street Steaks based on the recommendation of a friend. When we walked in, the counter for ordering was right there and we were able to browse the menu and put an order in nice and quickly. The area by the counter was a bit cramped, so we moved over to stand around the seating area while we waited. It only took about 10 minutes for the food to come out. Considering this was around dinner time, not too shabby. We took our food to go, and enjoyed it at home. Everything was packed up nicely and smelled amazing. The side of fries was cooked to perfection. The cheese steak I ordered with mayo on the roll was still a bit dry on the inside. All the cheese was on the outside of the meat, so I'd have preferred either a bit more mayo, or a more mixed steak. But still delicious. My dining companion said the same thing about her chicken cheese steak. read more

Steak is great quality. Beer is good quality but you cannot get a can to take out apparently. You have seeded roll or regular and I went with seeded. You can order by kiosk but need to specify beforehand if you want your Toast points. They do not currently have mushrooms for an add-on. This place probably replaced the restaurant House which was okay to me but it was a particularly nice place for some. Staff is friendly and environment has good lighting and nice white furnishings. We do enjoy a steak sandwich every now and then so me and my dining partner thought we'd give them a try. The menu is decent with the usual suspects plus some wild cards should you choose to try something different. We both opted to try the Brie and spinach cheese steak. I asked them to plate mine since I'm gluten free--which they gladly did. The steak itself was tender, the spinach was fresh, and the brie was nicely melted throughout. The fries were seasoned well and crispy although I think a bit over cooked. They do have beer and wine in addition to non-alcoholic beverages from the cooler. The interior is clean and modern looking with a nice mix of tables and counter space all with truly comfortable (padded) chairs. Finally the staff is super friendly. If you like steak. Very clean restaurant in the heart of Media at the old House location. Ordered from them 2x's now. The Steak is perfect. The creaminess of the cooper sharp mixed in with the well seasoned beef and the fried onions. The seeded roll helps make the perfect sandwich. The staff is very accommodating. Will be back again and very happy they are in the neighborhood. Can't wait til the weather gets warmer and we walk up from work for lunch. read more

I've been hearing about Jacksons Street Steaks in Media and had to try. Stopped in and there are so many options, so went with a classic Cheese steak. Steak was chopped and cheese mixed in "not just on top" fried onions on a seeded roll. Steak very tasty. Order came out quick and hot. Place is very clean and staff friendly. We got takeout from here and it was great!! We picked it up with ease service was fast! Love supporting the local restaurants go try and give them some love, they just opened! Went and got a provolone cheese steak, seeded role and a order of mozzarella sticks. The cheese steak was just blah did not stand out. The Mozzarella sticks were delish better than the cheese steak. Did not have a lot of choices, but a good choice if you are in the Vicinity. Service was ok, ambiance was ok. PUT more on the menu. Hello, first experience! We got a chzsteak with fried onions and sweet n hot on the side. Bacon blue burger and he Parmesan truffle fries. The burger had great flavor wasn't greasy and was a good size. Will get again. The cheesesteak we went with the basic to test it :). We thought the roll was good the hoagie as a whole was packed with meat n sloppy cheese! It was lovely. It was a 12" roll. Will definately order another steak from them:) now for my 1 star: the parm truffle fries which cost $11. Ours looked like a sloppy 3rd grader threw them haphazardly in the container and whipped a half tablespoon of aioli on the top. The truffle oil was non existent, absolutely nooooo smell or flavor of truffle, and super greasy. So big waste of $ and a disappointment on the truffle parm fries. Won't try again. As a whole we enjoyed all but those crappy expensive fries. read more

First visit to Jackson street steaks won't be my last. The place was clean which is critical. I got a cheesesteak with fried onions and fries. I live about 20 minutes away and by the time I got home both the steak and fries were still very warm. Both were outstanding. Beef in the steak had good taste and the fries were perfect. read more
