He is very outgoing, very easy to talk to, listens carefully and explains everything really well. He's also very focused on your comfort during procedures. You can tell he has a real passion for periodontics and the latest science and technologies behind it. Not only did they get them in quickly but the communication that John provided to me was above and beyond the call of duty. He was professional, polite and clear about how much we would owe and walked me through paperwork. I immediately called my regular dentist of over 45 years. Unfortunately for me he is in a new practice and they don't take our insurance. He did see me however & I paid cash so I knew what I needed done to fix the tooth. I came home and started calling the dentist he recommended to confirm they accept my insurance. None did. I finally found White marsh dental & Dr. Kelmenson. I arrived at the office early to fill out any additional paperwork and was promptly greeted & checked in. I quickly went back to get X-rays done and then into a chair. The dentist reviewed the X-rays and said it could be fixed with a new filling but it will likely need a root canal since it is broke just at the gum line. I explained to Dr Kelmenson I don't do well with needles especially coming towards my face/mouth. He said I could get nitrous oxide to help relax me. I just had to pay out of pocket for the nitrous. Ok, I was fine with that. He put the mask on me and take a few deep breath's and he was able to get the novocaine injection done and move right into fixing my tooth. He explained everything he was doing and respected me being a medical professional so he could explain things in medical terms and I understand. Excellent bedside manner. I am definitely going back for my 6 month cleaning and as tough as it is to find a good dentist.... I have found 2 Dr Kelmenson here and my previous dentist. Overall I would recommend this practice4/5 I'm only taking a star off because it's hard to get an appointment. I am used to having a few Saturday hours but this office doesn't.
