Very nice clean airport. Also the only airport located inside a national park! A very small airport where there is not jet way between plane and gate. Actually need to walk out of the plane onto a ramp and on the tarmac for a short distance (10-15yards?) into the building. Gate attendant was very friendly and helpful getting us organized with our check-in luggages. Plenty of time to relax and get thru the checkpoints and find the gate. Jackson Hole Airport is definitely one of the smallest airports I have ever been to. It's the best way to fly into Jackson Hole and checking in when leaving, and getting our bags when arriving was quick, easy, and smooth process. When boarding and leaving Jackson Hole, it was a bit chaotic and felt a little unsafe. However, otherwise, the airport was clean, had plenty of sitting and had a good restaurant/bar option. Unfortunately, we were very late leaving but the travel day ended up being ok and we got home safely. Which is truly all that matters! read more

I don't think I have ever given 5 stars to an airport before. But how can you beat flying into an airport located inside of Grand Teton National Park? Flying above the mountain range was an insane view. Once you step off the plane, you'll see a gorgeous mountain backdrop. This is a smaller airport, and easy to navigate. I received my bags quickly and immediately got my rental car. l left the airport probably within less than 30 minutes and headed straight to enjoy Grand Teton. read more

This is a very cute and quaint little airport and probably the only one if you're trying to fly to the closest one to South entrance of Yellowstone NP. After you land, you will come. down from your airplane by stairs and walk from the airplane to the airport. It was raining when I landed (end of August) and it made everything more magical! I love that they have the antlers arch at the entrance into the inside. It is the same one at the park in downtown. Inside, it can be mistaken for being inside a very large beautiful cabin, or maybe part of Oldfaithful Inn. I love small town airport, everything is there and lines move fast. Highly recommend you fly into here if you do go to Yellowstone by air. read more

If you are visiting the Teton National Park, there is no other airport closer than Jackson Hole Airport. The airport is just outside of the national park gates! And to Yellowstone entrance 55 miles. This is a super small airport with all the amenities that you need. Various car rental service this airport. Various airlines service airport, including United and Delta. The airport has a single bar and deli. Both look to be nice. Plus a small gift shop. There is also a pet relief area within the airport. And the bathrooms are super clean with hand lotion as super dry here. There is also a wellness room. Plus plenty of seats with plugs. Also seating by fireplaces! We were here off season so TSA was quick. We were the only people in line but I imagine during peak: summer and winter that this airport would get busy. As for transportation to Jackson: you can rent a car, grab an Uber or a taxi. Nice to fly out of small airport that keep their amenities up! read more

This airport is gorgeous! It's just stunning. I've been to some small airports in this country and every one I've been to felt like the airport in The Langoliers, sad, devoid of joy, 90's. This airport is the opposite of that. It's designed like a fancy resort cabin, with luxurious seating of all kinds (even the walls have cushioned benches to sit at.) It's rich and homey, with fireplaces and beautiful works of art. The creature comforts of a traveler are easily met here as well. There were so many plugs and USB charging areas. There was a restaurant with a full bar and convenience section. There's a small gift shop with pretty items and huckleberry everything. The bathrooms are clean and well supplied. There's even a free mini library (donations gladly accepted.) We have TSA precheck so maybe we may have a different experience than others but these TSA agents were super friendly and nice. I've experienced nice TSA agents before but these were extremely nice and it was all of them. Don't get me started on the view either. I think someone told me it's the only airport in the US on National Park land. The views of the Tetons are fantastic and a great welcome/goodbye from Wyoming. read more

The most beautiful airport I've ever been to. 5 star cleanliness and let's talk customer service really quick. When we arrived it wasn't until I got to our rental car that I realized that I had lost my wallet. The United customer service lady was exceptionally helpful. She reached out to the plane as it was preparing for departure, and with a little intervention from above the pilot passed my wallet out of the pilots window before they departed. It was so epic. Jackson Hole Airport is quite an experience! Located within the bounds of Grand Teton National Park, you land parallel to the mountains and immediately become immersed in the area's endless beauty. You exit the plane on the tarmac and walk on in to terminal, which is pretty straight forward to navigate. There's bear spray and a "bear aware" kiosk in the terminal-what other airport can you find that? The big open windows face the Tetons so it's a pleasant wait for your flight. There's also a little free library, some Teton souvenirs and a (limited) offering of food and beverages. My friend picked me up and passenger pick up is also quite easy. Easy airport to get in and out of. No traffic getting in. Small airport, maybe 10 or so gates. Only one shop with grab & go food, souvenirs, and a taco bar to order hot food from. Decorated very cute. Pics of local animals, Native American art, a couple fireplaces, and a free library bookshelf. Also very clean. They have water bottle fill stations near the bathrooms too. This may just be the nicest small airport in America. Like it doesn't even feel like an airport. It feels like a mountain lodge. The interior is dark with natural elements like wood and stone and THERE IS ALSO A FIREPLACE (two in fact). The terminal also features large tall windows facing the airfield so you can a great view of the mountains (when it's not foggy) and lets in so much natural light and also you can see the planes. There are no jet bridges, so you get off the plane using stairs outside but there is an antler arch when you enter the terminal which is a very Jackson way to greet you. The concessions are limited but it's local to the area which i love! No starbucks or mcdonald's here thank goodness. And when I arrived and got to baggage claim, they were welcoming passengers with mimosas and snacks (various granola bars). AMAZING. The baggage claim was spacious and clean and I got my gear right away. Bathrooms were also spacious and clean. AND the bathrooms had LOTION. This is like so thoughtful because it is so dry here and my hands get so dry and cracked. And every single seat in the terminal and a working outlet. Most other airports it's like roulette finding a working outlet. And all the chairs were in great condition. I would live at this airport. The wifi also worked great. The public art at this airport was beautiful. The airport has a pilot program right now with the SMART bus system where this season they're trying out an airport shuttle - from the airport to downtown Jackson is $10 (exact cash only or download the app and buy an airport ticket there). The bus is a big coach bus that's clean and has the underbelly storage for gear and luggage. And the bus drivers are SO nice. The bus is super convenient so you don't have to rent a car or pay quadruple the price for an uber/lyft. But it's a pilot program for 23-24 winter season so hopefully it was a success and they bring it back. Take the survey and rave about it so they will! Did I mention how much i love this airport? Really impressed with this small airport. How often can you fly commercially and land inside of a national park? I'm pretty sure this might be the only place. It's super close to Jackson Hole and adjoins Tetons and is not far from Yellowstone or Idaho Falls. So you can really land here and go exploring. It's clean and modern and well-done as it's low and doesn't interfere with the mountains and view. We arrived late from Denver and our bags were out in less than 15 minutes and our rental car was ready to go. No line. Something to be said for smaller, regional airports. Gotta love 'em. read more

Don't underestimate the security line process time on busy days; yes it's a small airport, but when there are several flights stacked so close there are more people than the scanners can handle efficiently. Leaving a family reunion trip with multiple flights to different parts of the country some of our party learned this the hard way. It's inconsistent, too; probably per individual airline policy. Somehow three got left behind even though they were through security five minutes before takeoff. Then my husband and I had to sit on tarmac 45 minutes past scheduled takeoff waiting one ONE person who comes strolling to plane with a a friggin salad. At least the view is pretty. read more

The airport itself is great. But the staff working the bar and store after you get through security is a joke. My wife and I sat at the bar for 15 minutes before the bartender made his way out of the back...which we quickly found out was his favorite place to spend time. When he did make an appearance, he either would pour himself a coke or sit on his cell phone for a few minutes before sneaking off to the back. We ended up having one drink but with a flight delay we could have easily had 2 or 3 if it weren't for this pathetic excuse for a bartender. The workers at the store weren't much better, I don't think I saw them once without a cell phone in their hand or interact with a customer...who is running this place!? read more

Man working at American Airlines, 3rd booth, was very rude. We had gone in to ask a simple question that I had been told to go directly to the airport for through the app. As I stated that I had a flight in September he laughed, rolled his eyes, and we were confused and asked if this is not the right place to seek assistance. He then said no and hand gestured for us to carry on. The gesture and the laugh was rude, and unnecessary. it was a quick visit to the airport and it was not a good experience. read more

Man I love these small airports. Get off the plane and the airport is right up against the mountains. What a glorious view to start the vacation. Bags out quickly. Large FREE luggage carts to take your bags out. Walk to the rental counter and then walk right out to the rentals cars. You are literally in Grand Teton National Park when you are at the airport. Only about a 15 minute drive into Jackson Hole if traffic is good. Coming back was just as easy. Flew Delta and they actually had 3 agents working for a very small flight. TSA was incredibly smooth and well staffed for a small airport. Once past security only a single dining option but actually a nice selection and not terribly overpriced. Plenty of very comfortable seating and actually had a nice fireplace to enjoy which I am sure is great in the winter. read more

The Jackson Hole Airport is one of the most beautiful airports I have ever seen! Aside from the occasional boarding announcement, you could have fooled me that it wasn't an upscale ski resort. The interior of the airport is well-decorated and has extremely comfortable leather-looking chairs. There's even a nice fireplace to kick your feet up by. If you're hungry there's a cafe and a one small store, and there's convenient water bottle filling stations to keep hydrated. There are several on-site car rental agencies and a few that will shuttle you offsite to get a rental car. First off, the airport is right next to do the Teton Mountain range. The views are breathtaking and awe inspiring for both landing and take off. You can't beat this location if you're trying to head out to the town of Jackson, Grand Teton National Park, or Yellowstone. That being said, this airport is known as one of the harder ones to take off/land at given runway size and altitude. We ran into plane load factor issues upon taking off, so we did see a little bit of delay. Nonetheless, I truly enjoyed my stint in the Jackson Hole airport! read more

This is such a great airport to fly into. They drive a ramp up to the door of your plane. Once you walk in the door from the outside you are in baggage claim. So so easy. The rental car counters are right there also. And the rental cars are right across from the terminal. Just steps away. The airport is not very large. Thus when you are leaving, it can be hard to find a place to sit. Especially if you are leaving during a time when there are lots of other flights leaving. Spectacular views from this airport. Placed in the Grand Teton National Park, you're among the mountains. The airport is small, but it's really nice inside, great aesthetics, modern. Things are so efficient here, from check in to security to boarding your plane. The luggage carousel area is accessible right when you exit the plane and enter the airport. Getting off and on the plane requires an outdoor ramp and a bit of a walk, so be ready with a windbreaker if it's raining. read more

I fly in and out of airports all the time. Some of them great, some of them not so great. But my experience here at Jackson Hole airport was a good one! It's not the largest of airports, but it is very clean and has beautiful nature decoration. When I landed, there were animal trainers inside showing off many of the birds that reside in Wyoming. Someone also handed me a large package of brochures of all the things that you can do here. She was very friendly and welcoming. Jackson Hole Airport is located entirely within Grand Teton National Park. You can see the Teton mountain range from the airport as there are no other buildings around this airport. Picking up a car rental was an easy process and I had no issues getting in and out of the airport. read more

I heard the airport makeover cost around $60million....it shows! First off keep in mind Jackson is a town of 10,000 and this airport is very small. There is 1 terminal with i think about 12 gates (maybe less). There is 1 restaurant/bar/store and 1 security checkpoint. What you get that you wont see anywhere else is a front row to looking at the amazing Teton mountains while you wait for your flight. They seem to be pretty dog friendly here as they have a pet relief station if you are traveling with your fury friend. There are a few different bathroom stations even as small as it is. It is super clean throughout the airport and staff were all very nice while i was traveling through. Flights in/out are limited and are not cheap but that has nothing to do with the airport itself. The only thing to keep in mind is that if you are planning to leave your car here, there are times of the year when the long term parking completely fills up and you have to take a taxi in from town. This is mostly during peak travel season for locals, like spring break. Overall its a great little airport in the mountains with amazing views and nice conveniences. read more

Just look out the big windows at the Tetons and you know this is a bit different here.. You can't beat the views. the only real drawback is the horrible food choice, the Jedidiah's. Wow oh wow, never been to a more beautiful and clean airport than Jackson Hole Airport (we landed here). A trip to Grand Teton of course and the airport is literally next door to the park. One sign says airport going in, the other sign going out says "Grand Teton National Park". When we landed, we went down the ramp to take a few steps in to the airport where we greeted with an amazing antler arch and an amazing view of the mountains. It's hard not to take the phone out to take a quick pic. The Teton Raptor Center was inside next to the baggage claim with owls, birds & hawks. I never thought I'd see something like that inside the airport educating us on these wild animals. Once I turned around, bam my checked bag was there. But I guess you can expect fast service like that since the aircraft is literally next to the baggage claim. The entire ambiance of the airport did not feel like the airport. It felt like a hotel. Very nice interior design, very calm lighting and just so clean. Yes it's small, but definitely mighty in their presence. I love it! read more
