I' started taking Odin here in 2023 when we moved to Jackson, then after moving out of town I've continued to bring him here in the summer months when we are closer. The staff here is great, they understand Odins anxiety and behavioral issues. They have not tried to pressure me into buying "their" dog food or scolded me for the choice foods I buy for him. They are very understanding and kind. The prices here are generally higher than other cities in the area but that should be expected as it is Jackson where the cost of living is higher and rent is out of control. You are getting great quality care here. Odin has come here for general check ups, vaccinations and a teeth cleaning. All visits have been positive and have gone well. I will continue to bring Odin here for scheduled appointments as they have earned my trust and I appreciate that the most. read more

I've been in Jackson almost three months and have now had 3 occasions to visit JAH. They are always friendly, accommodating, and most of all... knowledgeable and caring. They have taken good care of my Mazie who has had tummy/GI issues, annual shots and checkup, and now a cracked molar which needed extracted. Jackson Animal Hospital has been an amazing experience. Being from out of town and in need of immediate attention for my 16 lb fur baby who was "throttled" by a 120 lb dog, they immediately worked us into their over-packed day. They provided him with the medical care and attention he needed. The front house staff, vet tech, and doctor were all A+ in communications, care, and treatment. I wash a bit worried which animal hospital to take our two puppies too but I'm so glad I chose these guys first. They gave our pups their shots and were friendly and loving with the puppies. Also when one of them was sick they I called and they were able to fit me in that day and sent me home with new food recommendations. Also Leilani got many treats. read more

My dog got a 10 inch laceration on a dog walk at 6pm on a friday afternoon. It was a huge emergency. It was so hard to get the on call coordinator to let us come into the vet b/c they said it had to be 'scheduled' (I've never had that issue with the other vet clinics when they are on call) My dog had a big long surgery. The doctor was fine. But I got one update that she was ok. The next day the only call I got was to tell me I needed to pay the bill to get her released. Which i thought was pretty tacky but I went with it. Since then it has been CRICKETS. literally no follow up from anyone for a week! My dog walker even brought the doctor flowers but no one asked about my dog. I called them to let them know I was really bummed out about that care and they gave me a quick 'sorry' and asked where they should transfer my records. I own a business and if I make the tiniest mistake I apologize profusely! I couldn't believe the lack of care or effort. read more

Dr. Aaker and team have been very good with two recent ACL surgeries over 6+ months, however it can be challenging trying to pull information out of them. I know they stack all their surgeries into one day, my guess making for a trying day, however as a dog parent spending $3200 and then all you get is a brief consult with a load of paperwork. To boot, they mentioned that they would take x-rays and then call us prior to surgery, yet when they called they mentioned that she was already out of surgery and waiting for pick up. Whatever happened to the pre call, I feel their lack of communication can be improved upon. Otherwise I do believe they provide great work for what they do, just be sure to come with your list of questions as they will not be forthright with info, other then a bunch of paperwork and lab results that you need to be a vet tech to read. read more

Not to pleased. My 16 year old dog was having heart failure and they told me since I wasn't a patient they could not help me. She died in my arms after a long night and much pain. I would not go there, I would go to Idaho Falls, Idaho. read more

I took my guinea pig who had a fungus infection and they said that they would check my guinea pig on Monday so we took him and the checked and also cut his nails but they forgot we were waiting and they made us wait for like 1 or 2 hours then they said sorry for keep you waiting I can go talk to the manager to give you a discount and we said no it is ok. read more

We are so so thankful to the staff and Dr. Wienman for fitting us into their schedule last minute today to help our dog Remy. We are camping in Grand Tetons for our honeymoon and noticed our fur baby had goop coming out of his eye. When I called, Marsha was very nice on the phone and got us on the schedule asap. The Vet Tech was very nice as he got us checked in for our appointment. Dr. Wienman checked our dog's overall health and was able to identify his eye issue very quickly. 30 minutes later we had eye drops and were good to go. Mckayla was the person who checked us out and she was very sweet and always had a smile on her face. Their pricing was very reasonable especially for their excellent service and new facility. Jackson Animal Hospital was beyond amazing. Sadly during our road trip our elderly dog wasn't doing too well. We were relocating from California to Maine so we still had a long trip ahead of us. Before leaving on our road trip, our vet in California told us that our Sammy was experiencing congestive heart failure and had arthritis in his hind legs. He eventually lost control of his bowels. At our hotel in Jackson Hole he wasn't doing too well. We took him in knowing that we would probably need to put him down because we didn't want him to be in pain any longer. The vets here called our vet from California to talk about his records and we came to the decision that it was his time. They were so comforting to us during such an emotional and hard time. Very nice facility on the quieter end of main Street in Jackson Hole. Several vets on staff; younger but wee-informed. They are next door to the animal adoption center by the way. Lots of parking, easy situation all said and done. They are mostly small animal but even will treat horses out back, they say. I like the place and have made them my vets. read more

Finding the right vet is like finding the right pediatrician, so we really lucked out! Ziggy has been seeing Dr Carleton (and now Dr Wienman too) since we adopted him 8+ years ago. We were staying in Grand Teton National Park over the past week and our dog, Mia, had stopped eating. We googled vet hospitals near by and we're SO lucky to have found this place! We walked in and they were able to get us in right away. Dr. Joe was literally the best vet we have ever encountered. His staff were all amazing and even tried to help us with overnight accommodations while Mia had surgery with an overnight stay for observation. He walked us through all of the possible diagnosis and thoroughly through our options. We were debating about keeping her here or heading straight home to Denver to get her taken care of. So glad we stayed! Not only did Dr Joe and his staff take amazing care of our Mia, but was also prompt in his communication throughout the entire day.
