This is for a delivery. So I'm reviewing strictly for the food I ordered on DoorDash. I ordered Achiote chicken salad with no corn instead of Greek chicken salad because I like Jalapeño and I was curious about their Jalapeño vinaigrette. The salad has everything that was described on the menu I wish there was more chicken since I'm on high protein diet. I liked the spiced chickpea which gave some flavor to the salad without dressing because I was disappointed with the dressing, it was too sweet and it was totally different from what I expected so I only used a half of it. Another thing is they only have 3 choices for drinks which are coke, Diet Coke and sprite, this is California and it's 2024! Nobody drinks those traditional sodas that are bad for you... They should have Popi or Konbucha or something a bit healthier and hip for drinks since it has lots of healthy choices of food here, so I didn't order anything to drink from here. read more

I've only had some of their sandwiches: chicken club, classic tri tip, and chimichurri steak. The classic tri tip was ok, a little dry overall, but the other two are fantastic. I love their blackened salmon Cobb. It's always good. The atmosphere is always great and service is pretty fast.

I ordered takeout so I can only review the food not the restaurant. I We were in the mood for something crunchy and healthy, so I ordered a black and salmon cob with extra asparagus, and a western barbecue steak salad for my husband. I also ordered a side of artesian bread which I went to comment on. If you look at the menu or on the app, it looks like you're getting a few slices of bread for a dollar. But you're actually getting one slice of bread. Just know this if you have a lot of bread eaters you need to up that quantity. The salads themselves were really good. Even though I was tempted to upgrade my salmon for a bigger piece I didn't, and in the end I was glad because it was plenty. My only complaint is the amount of dressing for either of the salads. It's just not enough for such a hearty salad. In retrospect I did see that you can order extra sauce but I didn't think I needed two for a regular salad. And here's my last note. I had this delivered because I was working. If you order directly from the app you're paying a little bit more than with some of the other delivery apps, but the other delivery apps up the price of the menu 3 to 5 dollars at least. I was only looking at the salad so I don't even know about the entrées. So even if you have reduced delivery etc., check your prices. And don't forget to tip your delivery people. The reason I didn't give a full five star was: The bread situation, the amount of dressing for the salad, and the fact that they use DoorDash. I never have luck with DoorDash and in this case it wasn't any better. When you order directly you can't get any kind of help with customer service from DoorDash. I specifically asked them to leave the food on the front porch and not to ring the doorbell. The person who delivered called me three times during a work call interrupting my client constantly, and then proceeded to ring my doorbell like crazy. read more

Found myself working in the area again, and naturally I wanted to order Jack's for lunch. But man, is this plaza busy. It took forever to find parking, so be aware! When I finally parked and made it inside, my order wasn't in the pick up area...even though I received a text message that my order was ready... turns out someone took my order. Luckily, the gals behind the counter were quick at had my sandwich and fries put together right away. I'm glad that they made the order accordingly, considering the time restraint. They left the red onions out (thank goodness) and added the extra sauces I asked for. Thanks ladies! Moving forward, I will order for delivery at this location because the lot is ridiculously busy. I made a stop by Jack's Urban Eats after work for dinner. I hadn't ate from Jack's in over a year! Last time I was here, there were take out orders only/no dining in. I was really craving their delicious urban fries! I order them every time I visit JUE!! Tonight's takeout dinner of choice: Cajun chicken sandwich, (small) urban fries (of course!!), and side of mashed potatoes with chives (no gravy). It wasn't long after ordering that I received my food and was on my way home. I waited no more than 10 minutes. Matter fact, I'm always impressed by how quick they prepare my order with accuracy every time! And, I usually stop by when it's really busy (tonight was no exception!). The Cajun chicken sandwich, was good, but, not spicy. I should have placed their pepperoncini that was on the side, in the salad for that spicy kick. The mashed potatoes was REALLY good! I surprisingly didn't need to add anymore salt, pepper, or anything. The urban fries...I mean, what can I say? Delicious, spicy, and hot (temperature) as usual. Dem fries never disappoint! I've been coming here for the last 7+ years, super disappointed in today's service. We were here just last month and had a good time. This time, not so much. The fries, chicken strips and Mac and cheese were cold. I picked up the Mac and cheese noodle with my hand and it was not even close to warm. I asked if it could be heated, the girl took the plate and came back, with the exact same one. I told her it was cold and asked if she could microwave it, she said there is nothing they can do and walked off shaking her head. Jacks is one of the best places for a salad. Particularly if you get the dill dressing. The fries (urban variety are my pick) are really good too. The last time I was here the cashier complained at us over having the line go in the wrong direction then helped the people behind us first. Food is decent but it doesn't come out in time to eat with your family. Literally each persons food comes out one at a time and it doesn't make sense. We have gotten food that is hot come before a salad or already made Mac n cheese. Each person eats their meal one at a time until the last person waits for theirs. You also can't eat food that you ordered together as a meal. You get the fries, then ten minutes later you get the sandwich. Until they can figure that out I'm not going back. read more

I have been to this location several times before and never had an issue. But apparently ordering to go they do not care at all... Order the Blackened Salmon Cobb... I think they forgot the salmon (see pic) it was $18.65 BEFORE TAX!!!!! Normally the portions are great so I opted to split with my husband and then split urban fries with extra urban... URBAN FRY FAILLLLLL- paid $7.60 for what my husband called "mashed potatoes" just look at the picture! Not only soggy but there is NO sauce on top! None... ummm I paid extra! I will never go here again. You charge a decent price and then don't deliver... Door Dash was great... but your food was garbage. The food is good especially the Urban Fries but it can be pricey. I spent almost $20 for a sandwich and fries. Food is fast and the employees are kind. Can get quite busy so go earlier. The only other imperfect thing about the food is the sweet potato fries (up charge $1.50 instead of regular french fries) are not as sweet as I'd like. The delicious salmon is great on their blackened salmon cobb salad. Left me feeling satiated. I also enjoyed the nibble I had of the chicken strips. Counter service is pretty quick. Look for the menus on the waist-high walls near the front of the line. The restaurant is on the east end of Leohmann's Plaza. Great outdoor patio on the east side is open on the sides but covered. I will ALWAYS love Jacks! This was my first time at this location, my co workers treated for my birthday. We came in at the peak of lunchtime on a Friday. Given the other businesses in this center the parking lot was PACKED!! Don't let that discourage you! Jacks is so worth it, so you fight for that parking spot!
