Jacks Towing company notices I'm sleeping in my car and then I leave to use the restroom came back it was gone how lovely you guys .

This company doesn't even deserve the one star it makes me give them!! They keep leaving towing stickers on my vehicle for expired tags when they are NOT expired!!! The one they left today was the fourth one! I have pictures and have went to the HOUSING OFFICE over them FOUR TIMES!!! I don't know if they are just trying to get over on people or they just simply cannot read but its getting old at this point. I will be posting the pictures for proof since the gentleman on the phone today at 1:47pm basically calling my husband and I both a liar! "I don't know what to tell you. They wouldn't have put stickers on it if it wasn't expired." You guys have FOUR F*CKING TIMES NOW!!! Not to mention one of the times they said it was an expired VIRGINIA plate when the vehicle is clearly registered in TENNESSEE!!! The housing office has proof of it and so do I! I'm on camera going there talking to them about it as well as the lady walking out with me and verifying that the tags are up to date. I have absolutely no reason to lie to you sir. read more

We're literally residents at the apartment company they towed our car from. My husband came home at 12:30 am on a Sunday from moving our stuff since he leaves for deployment the start of the week. He left for 24 hr Duty at 5 am. So literally less than 5 hrs it was parked and we're residents! It had all of it clothes etc that he was taking for deployment. So now I have to get my 9 month old ready, 21 wks pregnant, and find someone to take us there to get his car. I'm not hopeful to get the $200 waved cause of the reviews...which it's hard times on everyone right now but it's $200 we barely have. read more

The guy who towed my friend's car is so rude! We are just moving in to the apartment and my friend was there to help us. He hasn't even been there for an hour and they towed him already! Ridiculous! This company threatened to tow my vehicle from my paid parking space in my apartment complex because my tags had expired. Not 20 feet away was a vehicle WITHOUT resident stickers, parked in a NO PARKING space. After a run to the DMV, I return to find this vehicle still parked in No Parking. I called them to let them know, but I was told all the sudden they were too busy to deal with parking violations in an apartment complex. Shady bordering on criminal, don't give them any business. This sleazy company needs to close up shop and move along like any other clown show that's through running their scam. And from reading the previous reviews, I got out of this crap vortex unscathed. Update: Called them again 4 hours after initial call and was told "we won't come out to tow unless a resident spot is blocked". Apparently their policies change by the hour. read more

when you tow cars, you need to have the resource there to release the cause after the two hours allowed by law to keep a vehicle once an individual is trying to pick their vehicle up. to use the resource just to tow the cars to your yard to make money but not be efficient enough to allow the customers to remove their cars when they're ready to pay is not professional and it leaves a customer helpless because there's no conversation for the rides are the time that the Customer took to repossess their car when you are a business and you create an action, there's always a reaction meaning it stop towing if you have no means for people to get their car out of your yard. read more

Towing companies typically get a bad rap, no one likes to get towed. Luckily for me jacks towing only ripped my motorcycle cover and put a nice pretty green decal right on my chrome fuel tank. Storing my bike long term in my paid parking spot. Thanks for the free sticker and the partially bleached saddle due to the torn cover. As far as customer service, my hopes and prayers go out to the people as they attempt to contact the front desk of the parking lot outhouse called jacks towing. read more

2 STARS WHAT A JOKE!! SOULESS so called human beings. My car was towed by accident they thought it was somebody else's it ended up falling off the tow truck suspension damage radiator damage body damage!! 2 years ago and I still have yet to see any money from them or a sorry! It still doesn't drive right I had to pay for all the damages myself barely getting by as it is! These people work off the backs of the poor that are barely getting by with the government the way it is!! I've been in the tow industry for 7 years and these guys give are what gives all tow drivers a bad name!! I'm not giving them a 1 star bc they towed my car. I mean Honeslty Who wants to give any towing company five stars lol. BUT the process could have been more smooth. You have to wait on the guy to come back to the building (which is not a building it's a parking lot) to even get your car as he's towing other cars. If you're goina tow someone's car the atleast you can do is have an extra person working with the company so that when they are ready to get their cars they won't be waiting around. Idk read more

If I could give a zero star rating, I would've did it because they are so under the table and unprofessional they didn't even want to show me their policy on towing cars through my apartment complex and said they are obligated to give it to me but you would think since I'm paying $150 you can give me a copy of a paper. Seems like a very illegal business. Workers are very rude and at this moment I plan on taking them to court. Just know if you get your car towed by them it will not be the best process. This is my second time dealing with them towing my car. Every time I pull up to get it the gate is closed and locked so I call their phone line and they tell me I have to wait for the tow truck to come but both times after waiting an hour my car was already there I have to force them to let me in to talk. I had really bad experience with that lady at front office and a towing guy as they were racist by seeing my color and beard and commented on my religion, I really got offended. I asked what time was the car towed. I don't think there is no need to talk about religion or race. I really don't understand how can people come into conclusion. Whoever answered the phone was very rude. I've called once to have a car towed from MY PAID PARKING SPOT and they responded with they don't patrol. However the sign in my neighborhood says otherwise. However my friends car gets towed and when trying to explain there was a visitor pass that was in the cup holder that was forgotten to be put up, they were still extremely rude. This company is an absolute JOKE. They service the apartment complex I live in unfortunately and instead of placing an inspection notice under the windshield wiper like everyone else with a brain, the a-hole they sent decided to place an adhesive sticker ON THE WINDOW of my vehicle. My fiance's church prematurely called this tow company to remove her car from the church parking lot after the Sunday service. When the towing company arrived, several members of the congregation that knew her car tried to inform them that this car was allowed to park in the parking lot. After several attempts the towing company stole her car from the parking lot. The toeing company informed the members of the church that if she was a member of the congregation the fees would be removed. Once she arrived at the towing company they were still very insistent on trying to charge her for the vehicle. If it wasn't for a very kind member of her church, who happens to be on the board of trustees who negotiated for its release she would have to pay the $135 ransom. They business they do is very sleazy. Please avoid using them if possible. read more

I dropped my 3 month old niece off at my sisters place w my 3 yr old daughter and during the 5 minutes I was inside they towed my car and want $155 to get it out. The lady at the desk is so far gone on crack or meth so she couldn't help me. The driver looked like he was on his 5th mcdouble of the night and neither of them could give a fuck about what kind of trouble they caused me. This company is garbage. Like complete garbage. My newish Volkswagen crapped out in Cold Spring. Jack's was the preferred towing for VW. Although they estimated 60 minutes, they were there within 30. My experience was excellent. I couldn't recommend Jack's more highly! read more

I have called 4 times now and I have been very nice even though that's the last thing I should be. My car was towed illegally from my parking space at emerald point apartments. I ended up having my wife get it out the same day because i was just furious because she said they dragged it out to the street from the back while cmuiar was still in park. That is very unnecessary to drag a car almost 75 yards for one. Anyways 3 hours later after they said he will be there in 25 mins 3 different times we got it out. My wifes mom drove it home and ended up breaking down on the highway because the radiator was busted. I get off work and thinking the worst. Get on scene and the radiator is busted the car is sitting crooked like it had been wrecked. Both rear wheel were pointed out towards passenger side. The check engine light is on and radiator is busted and I cannot get any help. I've filed police report since the car should've never been touched in the first place. So after spending almost 1k on tires and alignment about 2 months ago I know have a car I cannot drive because it drives sideways down thr road and overheats. Everytime I call they say do not call back. Wait for us to call you. That was 2 weeks ago. I need my fucking car. I drive a tow truck as well for a living and know what they done. Guarentee my car will be totaled out if I call insurance. Please if anyones knows what to do please help. I have been very nice and very patient with these worthless soul less people. Will refuse to tow a camry that's been parking in my complex for months without a sticker but because our lot was full last night a friend Parked right next to visitor parking. My car was towed from Pickett point. My decales were on my car. I called up here and spoke to a lady. I told her they faisely towed my car. She checked and yes she agreed. I told her I was sick and asked her if they could return my car. Of course she said no I had to come get it. When I get up here the gates are locked and no one is in the office. Keep in mind I had to walk in the rain with my 3yr old daughter. We are currently waiting in the rain for some one to arrive. Any believe this place is still in business. read more

Towing experiences are never exciting or fun but most are very helpful and upfront from my experience thus far in Norfolk/va beach. That being said, this is a shady and deceitful company. Do Not tow with them if at all avoidable. My car was towed here from an accident and the staff stated that I had to be present with ID verification to release my car (I was on my way to the airport and out of town for 3 days). On my return and $300 of fees for towing and storage later, they stated I could have made a simple phone call to release the car to another towing company to take to a repair shop. Well don't you think I would have already released it if this was true? Instead, I paid 3 days of storage until I got home and could handle it "in person" read more

I got into a car accident and I had to have my car towed to the impound because of the damage. The tow truck driver was friendly and very helpful at the scene of the accident. I had my 2 year old with me so it was a relief. At Jacks actual tow yard the staff was completely helpful and made sure my daughter and I were comfortable. Great service read more

I guess these guys do a good job of towing, and the one time I had my car towed by them (legally) they were pretty easy to deal with. But recently, there was a car abandoned in the free space in front of my apartment building, and they were late towing it, and when I called to ask about it, the woman on the phone was really rude and dismissive, refused to look up any information about the car, and then lied to me saying the car wasn't supposed to be towed. (It was towed the next day.) Really horrible customer service. read more

Screw Jacks Towing! They have to be one of the crookest tow establishments in Virginia! I wake up and see that my car is not where I parked it last night. I backed it all the way to the curb in my parking complex and came outside this morning and it was out in the middle of the complex. I'm guessing they got it to the tow yard and realized that it had the decal in the window. I just got off the phone with the guy who was there and he told me someone was out here but I would have to call back tomorrow to speak with the head dispatcher. I wish i could give this place 0 stars. Customer service is terrible. Very rude. They don't even look before towing your car. I parked at a apartment complex visiting a friend for 30 minutes in a blank spot with an up to date visitors pass and they towed my car. A week prior to this the same company towed my friends roommate car who pays monthly for a parking pass. When confronted about it they deny, and hang up. read more
