From the very first phone call, the owner was warm, respectful, and welcoming. There was no attitude, no frustration--just patience and understanding. I explained my situation: my daughter's car had broken down on the side of the highway, and law enforcement required it to be towed for safety reasons. Due to circumstances, the vehicle remained in storage for a period of time, and the storage fees had grown significantly. When I called and humbly asked if they could show mercy or work with my daughter--who is a 20-year-old college student, working hard and doing the best she can in a very challenging world--the response I received was nothing short of grace. I had a time at the Sam's Club in VB. I basically made a curbside pick up. I ended up having to…read morepick my own order off the shelves. While loading it into my car, the diaper bag went in, and I fought the case of diapers and the stroller; as I was doing so I tried to use the auto start on my car to start cooling due to the increase in temperature and having my son. It failed to start, but I won the fight and shut the trunk of my suv. Well the failed auto start made the car lock itself and my keys were inside the trunk. Luckily I was able to call the guys at Quality Towing and it took roughly 30 minutes for them to come rescue my (almost) 15 month old and I. I have 3 older cars, so I been towed around the block a few times. Eric was the most courteous, reassuring and well mannered person in general, not to mention the best tow truck driver I have ever spoken to. Needing a tow is not a great experience, but Eric made it a easy one if not a great one. Super professional and I just advised the address of my mechanic, he took it the next step and filled in the ticket and dropped my keys in the lock box for me! I was like, just leave them in the car and leave it unlocked. Excellent Eric was having none of that, made sure my car was safe, and left my info on the ticket for my mechanic. I see so little amazing customer service these days, Eric going miles out of his way to take care of me, just blew me away. I can't recommend this company and Eric highly enough. Hubby's truck needed transporting from Ballahack Rd (almost NC) to a transmission shop in Norfolk…read more(near NSU) and I asked him to use Hickory because they're locally owned and great stewards in our community (they took up donations for the western NC hurricane victims and for the young boy hit and killed basically in front of their location) and they were more likely to know pur location than an out of towner. Sure enough, when the young driver called for directions he knew exactly where we were. Once he arrived, he had hubby's truck up and carted off to Norfolk lickety-split. Our charge was $200 for over 25 miles. I thought that was a steal!! I've been charged a 1/3rd of that just to be towed 5 miles within the city limits! I will always recommend them for the points noted above.

This review is for Corey…read more My Avis rental broke down and left me stuck on the side of the road. Avis' roadside assistance quoted me 1.5 hours. the service got there in about 20 mins. They were not prepared to take me to the new rental location as I was told over the phone by Avis, but the driver let me ride along to the drop point and ended up giving me a lift the final 2miles to the airport. I attribute the mixup to Avis' end and appreciate Corey not leaving me stuck.
