We came here after leaving the Liberty vs JSU football game. This isn't a big establishment and…read moreit was quite busy during our visit. As a first timer, I found their menu to be slightly confusing. I ended up with the rocket burger snack ( add bacon & tomato, no rocket sauce). It came with fries. My guest had the chicken finger basket. It came with fries and you could also pick baked beans, slaw or more fries. They opted for fries and slaw. Our food took a long time but like I stated , they were veryyyyyyy busy! We enjoyed our meal pretty well. The Rocket has been around since 1958, so it was pretty cool to have visited here while in town. Only knock , music too loud that it's hard to hear your number called. The staff were all really nice!

I do not understand why so many people have positive things to say about The Rocket. I've given it…read moreplenty of opportunities to impress, and it never does. My latest "Rocket" burger was comprised of broken patties covered in too much lettuce and ketchup, and the onion rings (not beer battered because they were out) were bready and unedible. We spent $30 on burgers for two, and it was just awful overall (including the static-filled country music radio station playing loudly in the background). Add to that the long waits I have ALWAYS experienced regardless of the time of day or day of week, and I'm so done with this place. I think people have some nostalgic love for The Rocket, but it's time to realize that it no longer represents good food or service in our area.

The hand pies are one of a kind yum. When we were leaving the restaurant from having lunch we…read moredecided to buy 2 of them, peach and apple. Had them the next 3 days and they were awesome. We were told to air fry them for around 3-4 minutes and let me tell you... we aren't big sweet eaters but these pies will have us coming back. Next we went there for the hamburger. This is our first time to ever visit the Greasy Cove. My wife and I split a cheeseburger with onion, tomato, pickle , lettuce ketchup, mayo and we added mustard. The homemade fries we ordered ($4.00) on the side came in their own basket. Piping hot and fresh. I told my wife they served too large a portion. We finished them all. The burger patty was cooked on a flat top, so the edges were crispy and they hung over the bun. So good. This was our first visit and we have noticed Greasy Cove on different social media platforms for a couple of years and finally decided to try them as we passed down 59 South and took the 15-20 minute drive. Thought I would share our experience with a review... by the way we arrived at 10:45 for our "lunch" to try the burger and left so happy. Greasy Cove..!

My wife and I drove 40 miles to buy some produce such as Tomatoes, Cantaloupes, and Peaches, and…read moreall of it was terrible. The tomatoes had rotten spots throughout. The cantaloupe was not ripe and very hard and crunchy, and the peaches smelled good, but they were crunchy and not ripe. I know it's not full season on these that we bought, but if you can't offer better than that, stop selling junk. A wasted trip.
