This location use to be great but it has taken a drastic turn in the last year! Slow is an understatement, they are always out of something and they always seem so confused and scattered. Tonight they ran out of potatoes and couldn't complete my order. I told them I didn't want to substitute and thought they would just refund that item. Any time Im traveling and see a Jacks I immediately pull in. They have the best biscuits, milkshakes, fried chicken, and breakfast. I noticed today they had a catfish special so we tried it. Not the best but I will not let one meal define who they are. Love their service and employees. Simply the best for a fast food!!! read more

Food is always good but the service is very slow, it is not uncommon to wait 30+ minutes in drive thru and workers are not in a rush. Check your stuff before you leave, the last time I was there I ordered a chicken finger plate and did not get a fork for the slaw and got the wrong sauce cups and on top of that the cups were only about 1/3 of the way full. read more

We were traveling through and stopped for a bite to eat, I walked in, smiled and said hello! The girl at the register looked at me and turned away with an eye roll to yell something to the employees in the back. Ok, cool. The food took forever to come out and they charge you for EVERYTHING ($2.30 for 2 biscuits, and $3.50 for gravy?!?) but it was all very tasty. Normally I would not write a review unless I had something good to say, but my experience was over the top yesterday. I went to Jack's yesterday located at 21359 Highway 11 N, McCalla, Al 35111. The dining area was closed and even though there was a line at the drive through we chose to wait. We went ahead and placed a mobil order totaling $34.17 at 9:59 to speed things up. The mobil order showed that the order would be ready by 10:14 am. When we got to the window the lady at the drive through told us to pull up. We did and sat there for 40 minutes. I called and asked about our order because the dining area was still closed and I was told that they would be right out. At 11:00 the dining area opened I went inside to ask about my order. A worker handed me a bag that had been sitting and one drink and walked off. I asked for my other drinks. The works gets an attitude and stomps off to start fixing the drinks but don't know what drinks or size. There was a lady that was behind me that spoke up and said the least they could do is give you a large drink after waiting over an hour for your food. My daughter had got the bag of food and was going to give it to the kids, just to find that the order was wrong and ice cold. I asked to speak to the manager. In the mean time the worker that handed me my bag is acting like she wants to fight and is over at the drive through area acting a fool. Someone made her go to the back because she was out of control. The person that presented their self as a manager came over and I started to explain the problem and I asked for a refund due to the time waisted, cold food and wrong order. She never apologized and said that she could not give me a refund because she did not have a receipt. There was a lady that came out and tried to assist, but was not successful. It just so happened that the general manager Fran Garza was there and told me that she knew when the order was placed and was also aware of the call that I made asking about my order. Ms. Garza was the one that sent the worker to the back and she said that she would make sure that I received my refund. Ms. Garza is very professional and knew how to handle the situation. As for the presented herself as a manager clearly needs more training or to be replaced with someone that can manage a store. The staff is out of control and the one that was sent to the back should have been fired on the spot! I know that it's hard to get people to show up for work, but that behavior is unacceptable. read more

I actually stop at this jacks often but today will be my last time. It says it opens at 5 on the door. Their signs says dining open. Since I was in a sight hurry that morning I was going to run inside. Door locked!! Redo your signs if inside is not open. Drive through is sooooo slow. read more

Just bad. I work from home, so I'm not out-and-about often, but I wanted fried chicken, and my mother swears by Jack's off of I-59 Exit 97. I decided to run down and pick up 2 chicken finger dinners, one for each of us. I ordered 2 identical chicken finger plates with fries, coleslaw and honey mustard, and a large tea at the drive-thru. I had to repeat it twice, because the guy at the drive-thru was evidently busy the first time I said it. I pulled around and paid about $16 and waited. A couple minutes later, the guy comes to the window and tells me they had no coleslaw (which is the one thing my mother wanted more than anything else). Ok, fine. Substitute double fries. A couple minutes later, he pops back up and tells me they have no honey mustard either. Fine. Whatever you have, put it in the bag. So when I get home a few minutes later, the food is lukewarm at best. The fries were soggy, as was the breading on the chicken fingers. And salty. Both were so salty, they were inedible. Even my mother, who is a salt-aholic, said they were over-the-top salty. And even the tea was super weak. The biscuit was thankfully passable, but the rest went into the garbage, along with my $16. I won't go back to that location. read more

I love Jack's chicken fingers - especially with their comeback sauce. But this particular store ruins the experience with poor service on multiple occasions. Dining in usually produces a better experience than the drive through, but either way you should be prepared to be disappointed. read more

Excellent breakfast! The biscuits are to die for. And you can't beat their chicken fingers. Tasty with light breading. It's a LONG line in the drive thru for breakfast, but that's a sign the foood is good and it moves fairly quickly. read more

Service is often lacking. Orders are usually wrong, unless they are basic, and employees often display behavior as if they were at a playground. I've had way better Jack's than this one. Best take your money and your appetite elsewhere. read more

There were plenty of employees "working" but not working. They were standing around talking to each other and were not really engaged with any customers. The employee didn't even say anything to tell me my order was ready, she just sat it on the counter while engaged in conversation with her coworkers.
