Tonight being the 2nd night that it has been opened. When we walked in we noticed the changes of the past owners immediately. It was clean, completely remodeled, and nicely laid out. So excited a place like this has moved into Abbotsford. Something the area really needs. We were greeted immediately by our server, and got to choose where we wanted to sit. There was plenty of seating to choose from so that wasn't a problem. After we sat down we noticed all the large screen TV's they had displayed all over the seating area. Also noticed all the beers they have on tap. I enjoy a good sports bar so all of this was a nice perk. We were given our menus, our drink orders were taken, and we ordered the This N' That Variety Basket to get things rolling. It wasn't long later that our drinks were brought and our variety basket showed up. The variety basket was cooked properly and looked delicious. I love a good variety basket. The mixture of what was in it was all wonderful. The only complaint I have for it is if I'm going to pay $10.95 for a variety basket I want it to be worth $10.95. I'm not saying it needs more of a variety...it has that with deep friend pickles, broccoli bites, popcorn chicken, mac-n-cheese bites, deep friend green beans, onion rings, and more, and a very small amount of fries. Maybe you could include more fries to make it worth the money you are charging for it? Maybe check out some of the variety baskets and there prices at other establishments in the area that cost less than yours, but are larger and cheaper than yours. Our server (Dakota) was very attentive to all of our needs. He refilled our drinks, made sure we got the condiments we wanted, and cleared our plates after they were empty. Parts of me thought he was trying too hard as he continually came by to ask if we were okay a lot, but then again I would rather have a server that is over attentive than not at all. For our main meal we ordered the Hickory Burger & Cowboy Burger both with fries. Both of our burgers were good. I loved the BBQ sauce and the fact that there was real bacon on my Hickory Burger. My boyfriend liked the bun that his burger came on, but said it was just another burger for him. I however will defiantly order the hickory burger again because of the BBQ sauce. Again, not many fries on the plate. So I didn't leave completely full like I had anticipated, but the food was good, and I will come back again. I loved the atmosphere of the place. It was relaxing and comfortable and I'm excited to come and try it out again.

They also have hard seltzers and wine if beer isn't your thing. We got some popcorn and of course a basket of the free peanuts! We also got a pizza. It was not gooey or super creamy. it was just macaroni with cheese. I don't know if that makes sense or does it justice because it was delicious, but it wasn't super heavy, thick, or greasy. I really liked it a lot. Now it appears the place is more famous for being a brewpub and I did not sample anything so I can't speak to that. However, the bar area was nice and the dining area was very clean. I did speak to the owner a little bit before I left and he was a really nice guy. I observed the way he interacted with other customers that were there and he was super nice to everybody. The ambience is casual but nice and clean and the service was friendly and professional. I travel almost every week for work and keep a list of places that I enjoy eating at and Moonridge went on the list today. I can't wait to try something else there.
