This is a clean, no-frills salon that is practically walkable from my home. I made an appointment for a pedicure on a Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 PM and I was pleasantly surprised upon arrival to see other people getting pedicures You select a scent for your pedicure bath water (green tea or lavender) and they add some hot stones to the treatment also. Nice touch! I prefer my toenails short and squared-off, and the technician did just that. They also line the pedicure bowls with plastic for sanitary reasons. The one thing I didn't like was the lack of transparent pricing. Their website isn't functional, and there are no menu boards inside with treatment options nor price. Do they do waxing? Who knows. Eyelash extensions? Beats me! My pedicure was $35 and they appear to have a rewards program if you're a frequent visitor. This wasn't explained to me nor offered to me. My technician asked if I had points and I told her I didn't because it was my first visit. She then walked away. Alrighty then! Glad I tried it out. read more

SERVICE: Walk-ins Accepted. Appointments Accepted (Recommended). The weekends can be busy, and I recommend making an appointment, especially if you would like Gel, Silk or Acrylic Nails. If you want a manicure or pedicure, you can usually go without an appointment and not wait long. Jackie is excellent in taking care of your nails. I love the silk-wraps, and she was very precise with the care of quality of the nail. With all nail services, they give you a mini hand-massage as well. Jackie's has their own membership reward club. It is free and a must if you become a regular customer. For example, 200 points = $200 spent. 200 points = free manicure, 350 points = free pedicure, etc. NOTE: There is a coupon ALWAYS on the website. I went in on a Monday during my lunch hour (12-1). Apparently they eat lunch the same time. But that's ok we all need to have a break. The lady that ended up doing my nails was nice. She was quiet as well I really enjoyed the silence. Let's be clear I wouldn't mind her talking to me, however it annoys all the life in me when I go to the salon and all the techs are speaking in their native tongue with no regard to me. I liked the work that was done. I got a simple regular manicure. I didn't have any pains at all! And she gave me her undivided attention the entire time. I will say I didn't like the polish on/near my cuticles, but my polish hasn't chipped yet (day 3) so I'm A-OK with it. One thing that puzzled me though, I was going to be charged for "nail strengthener" because I chose not to get a gel manicure...but then I tipped her because I do that...and she polished my nails with it anyway. Whoa, how things have changed! First off, let me start by saying how Great this place smells. It does not smell like overbearing acetone but rather linen.. so delightful! When the employees are not working on nails, they are cleaning. This place is spotless!! Also, the service is wonderful! They really take their time and do not make you feel rushed, even if it's busy. My cousin and I came in tonight as walk-ins. We were immediately seated. I got a basic manicure and it was speedy and the polish came out beautiful and not sloppy. I also got a nice arm massage... She used some pressure when he really massages my muscles! The best part about this place is the free memberships the offer! All you need is your name and phone number! You get one point for every one dollar spent. Points are redeemable for manicures (250 points) pedicures (400 points) and spa pedicures (750 points)! I really love this about Jackie's nails!! Also, they always have coupons! You are given a plastic card with your member# to use any time in the future. Since my last visit was over two years ago, I no longer had my card but they were able to easily look me up with my phone number. This place is around the corner from me and I've been going there off and on for more than 10 years. When I take a break from the place, it's because of experiences like I had today. I went to get services at this business on 6/11/15. All I wanted was a gel manicure and gel pedicure. I already had gel on my finger/toe nails which had to be soaked off. And, since they do provide gel services removing and reapplying gel shouldn't have been an issue. However, the nail technician I had didn't seem up to the task. After I caught a whiff of her horrible attitude I decided to get regular polish on my toes. I went to go select a color and she rushed over and said no no that nail polish is an extra $7 because it lasts longer. Here these are regular priced. So I said no I want this color and I'll pay the $7 extra. So she completed the pedicure and then directed me to the manicure station. I realized by then I had to be somewhere and would have to stop there because no more time I could spend there. I never received a manicure and I paid $55 for a pedicure. Basically I feel violated that they really tried to overcharge me. I've been getting nail salon services for years and never paid that much for a pedicure. And to add insult to injury she asked for a tip which is a no no. REAL TALK DON'T GIVE THIS SALON YOUR BUSINESS!!! UNLESS YOU LIKE FEELING CHEATED. read more

I am very conflicted while writing this review. I've been going here for so long and get my eyebrows and lip done here every other week. Normally, it's done fast and done well and I don't have any issues. However, this past time I went, it was a very different story. Clearly, the lady who was doing my waxing was in a rush because she was putting on the wax and ripping it off at such a fast pace. I almost felt like I was being rough housed with when I went in. Normally I don't get my chin done but it had been a long time since I had done so, so I decided to get it done this time. That was a huge mistake. She slammed wax all over my neck instead of just my chin and ripped it off so fast I felt like I was really being pushed around. The next day, I had big, hard pimples all over my upper lip and my chin and neck, and it has been 6 weeks since I went there and the marks are still very present on my neck and my chin. I've never had this problem before, and I feel it was either because of how fast she was moving and how hot the wax was, or they did not properly clean the wax this time. I am deeply disappointed because this place was so close to my home and always provide good service, until now. I am afraid that this will happen again, so even though I have had good service in the past, I can't return. My upper lip hair is embarrassing for me, but the huge pimples on my face and all over my neck may have been even worse. It's a shame that I have to try a bunch of new places now in hopes of finding one that works. I'm only giving 2 stars instead of 1 because of the service I have had previously. read more
