My law firm needed some last minute holiday gift baskets, so I stopped in with my boss to check out their selection. Dan was uber helpful (and it didn't hurt that he gave us tons of samples). Despite the fact that we were terribly last minute (I think it was the week of Christmas already) he was incredibly helpful and personable. He allowed us to customize our baskets with certain types of snacks that we wanted to or didn't want to include. Our clients had nothing but great things to say about the baskets they delivered. The staff was also very accommodating when several of our baskets were returned and/or we wanted to change instructions. We forgot to give them new instructions about one of our returned baskets and they even gave us a "basket credit" for our next order. The prices are comparable to other gift basket companies, but the service definitely excels. It's also great that they periodically send me small baskets for random occasions (like a pot o' gold for St. Patrick's Day) to remind me of how great of a job they did.

Ok, I'm looking for something metallic. I needed something other than the usual picture frame or keychain. There are a couple of store associates, and the friendly gal helps me narrow down some items. She made sure to verify the engraving: layout, font, message, spelling, etc. She gave me an approximate time for me to return when the engraving would be ready. The engraving was not ready as promised so I had to come back another day. Disappointing, but not devastating since I had time before anniversary day. All in all it was ok, except for the one hiccup. Nice people, clean engraving, but the goods were not delivered on time.

She told me that she didn't think I put in the right place but we decided to go anyway. We saw that this place was so cute and had so many fun little things to see. At the time there was a sort of craft swap meet too. There were so many creative creators. I almost went broke. They have a decent size store that had about average prices. We got some great deals at the swap meet as well There is a small coffee shop and the lady behind the counter was super friendly. The coffee was average. It could have been less milky but my grandson loved his smoothie. There were a couple of cute chickens in a pen. There is a small sand pit for toddlers and also a swing set for smaller kids as well. There is a flower maze near the beginning The maze does need a bit of a makeover but we still had a nice time looking at the tall sunflowers. They have a small kissing bridge for a cute photo op I will definitely be back with my other grandchildren.

My first impression walking up to shop, it's going to be filled with all kinds of goodies. The reality exceeded my expectations. I did give myself a budget before I walked in of $100. I headed to the back to find the Oracle deck cards. She had a decorative table in the back displaying her gorgeous Oracle deck cards. There were little refreshments and amazing cookies to celebrate the occasion. After learning more about Oracle deck cards, I decided to shuffle and pull two cards. They were exactly on point. I became emotional and decided to explore the rest of the store. I realized I did give myself a big enough budget. It truly was a gift givers paradise: stones, teas, essential oils, aromatherapy, skincare, books, socks, stickers, cards, plushies, jewelry, etc. I ended up only purchasing two sets of Oracle Deck cards, but I already bookmarked this shop to return for future gift shopping. The cashier was super friendly!

Usually the sales are held at the La Mesa Community Center so that is the address I have listed, but occasionally they are held short distance away, down the hill at the Nan Couts cottage. Both venues are small and cozy and the sales are fun and don't require a huge amount of walking. There are always plenty of handmade items to choose from and often craft supplies as well. The ladies who work it are very nice. Bathrooms are available and occasionally light refreshments. You can find dish towels, key chains, dog biscuits, aprons, tea cozies, planters, jellies, hand painted wine glasses, homemade cookies, dip mixes, pet related items, American Girl doll clothes, Christmas tree ornaments, hand sewn and hand knitted items, jewelry and beaded items, beautiful scarves, and even a few items of furniture and wall hangings. Not every item is available at every fair but every fair has an interesting assortment well worth checking out. There is plenty of parking as well.
