Off the back, he gets 4 stars versus 5 because I don't like paying a fee to swipe any card. I don't pay ATM fees nor any fee for my money. With that, cash is a bother and quite inconvenient to get. Yet, this whole fee thing passed on to consumers seems to be a standard in Charlotte. He is on Style Seat. He is always on time. This is essential for me. I trust him with the kid and that is a big deal like bigger than I'll permit about anyone in my hair but not the kid's hair. He does steam conditioning which I prefer. He doesn't try and throw in work that's not needed. I've brought in the kid for a trim and he's like, "I promise it doesn't need it." I'm usually a stickler for every six (6) weeks yet trust his guidance when he says nope not yet. He also worked with my hair when I left being natural after 9+ years and went back to relaxing. The kid has never been relaxed nor had chemicals and his press & curls last on the 4D hair that the kid presents (70% 4d maybe 20% 4c the rest is even tougher). P.S. He will answer or text you. I have never had to wait long for a follow up even when we haven't been in a while due to wearing braids. Oh! That's another thing, I'll take his advice on what to do for haircare. It's not about short term styles that look great but will kill our hair. I'll sport a sew-in or wig for that. He braids as well for the vixen - he set us up. I don't think he crochets as he referred the lady in the next station. P.P.S. There's a Mexican place next door. Town & Country Ford in the same lot. Adam & Eve at the other end of the plaza with a Barber shop in the lot as well. I was lucky to score a 5:30 appointment yesterday and get parking in their lot (score)! I found the old B&B very charming but I wasn't really sure where to go...I wished my hair dresser gave me some direction as to what room was hers. Eventually I asked another stylist and met Christy who was very polite and quickly got started right on time. She consulted with me and upfront stated her prices ... The cost was about $30 more (when you factor in tip) than my stylist who was by no means cheap...so I was really hoping to look great. I also like how my old stylist always offered a beverage...no drink here. At one point I had to let my highlights develop and was ushered into a room for a very long time- she took another client in between which I felt was a bit odd. As a result it took about a half hour longer than my old stylist - but she did apologize saying the other woman wanted her hair flat ironed. Now on to the really important part- the color really came out beautiful and she did a fantastic job with the cut and especially the style - a partial color and cut without tip was $160 - maybe standard for some but I cringed a little. Regardless, I walked out of the salon feeling like I was in an herbal essence commercial. I met up with friends later who oooh'd and ahh'd so I may stick with her for awhile...hey I can always have a glass of wine post-salon.

At any point in time they have at least 100 T shirts for sale online. There's no real store front per se (more of a virtual one), just a display with the non Ebay listed items. I've ordered from them now on three separate occasions and been really happy with the quality and pricing on the items I bought. You purchase the listed items online and can have them shipped ($5.99) or arrange local pick up (for free). Whoever they have thrifting or searching for their items does a great job finding good stuff!!!

A lil too self conscious to post photos of myself but absolutely loved all the reception I've received from Poza - they text me appt reminders as well as respond to texts when I have last minute questions about things. They also have a dedicated parking lot in the back which is very convenient considering it's closer to the city. (And complimentary drinks as needed which is always a plus). Online appt scheduling makes it easy as well to get things sorted without having to call over the phone. Their salon is clean, looks chic, the staff looks out for each other (helping each other clean up hair etc), the atmosphere is nice and I'm sad to leave it behind when I move cities in a month. The one star reviews that I've scrolled through don't make sense from my experiences - lots of people making drama unnecessarily.
