A few months ago, while driving back from a work trip, I got a nasty rock chip in my front driver's side windshield. I've been neglectful in getting it fixed, but with another road trip only a few days away decided to finally reach out to Jack Morris and see if there was any way they could get me before I leave in 3 days. They called me only an hour after submitting the intake form on their website and scheduled to meet me for the repair at my office the NEXT DAY (SO convenient!) It was a minor repair so I decided to pay out of pocket (89.95) and thought it was super reasonable, particularly since they came to me! I got a call the morning of the repair on when to expect the repair guy and, he actually showed up exactly when he said he would (I have never had a repairman reliably give me a time estimate like that!) We had a good natured chit chat while he fixed the rock chip in about 20 min (fixed a loose part on one of my windshield wipers when he was at it) and now you can't even tell there was ever a chip in the shield to begin with! They are all about customer service at the Charlotte location. I called the 800 number to schedule my service and was able to set up a time and date for them to come and install a new windshield. The next day I received a call from the local manager who explained that since my car was a convertible they needed to do it in the shop, she apologized for the inconvenience and gave me great detail on why they were unable to come to my home for the repair. I scheduled to bring my car in the same day they were going to do the repair at my house. When I got to the shop I was greeted warmly, they had my information ready and available, and I was given an approximate time when my car would be ready, I found everyone I encountered at this shop to be warm, friendly and knowledgeable. The person installing my windshield took the time to explain why my car was a little more involved than others. Jack Smith has been taken over by Driven Brands, but at the Charlotte location it still felt like a locally owned shop that focused purely on customer satisfaction. My car was done when they said it would be, at the price they originally quoted, and I was out the door within minutes of completion. They made an appointment and then no showed. I called to ask ETA and they said they would call me right back. They never called back. Next day they were open they said I never had an appointment. They insinuated I left work early and waited for an imaginary person for no reason. When I complained about this behavior being unprofessional, they assured me that one complaint couldn't hurt their relationship with my insurance company. Wanna bet? Yikes. Tons of good reviews for this place, but I couldn't get past the rude person answering the phone this morning. I wish I had gotten her name. The Jack Morris website states "There is a good chance your chip, crack or break is covered by insurance. Let us check for you. Jack Morris Auto Glass has relationships will all major insurance carriers, and we can facilitate your claim for you. Just contact us, and we'll do the rest, including billing your insurance carrier directly." Given this, I called the shop directly to attempt to get the ball rolling on a windshield replacement. After collecting a little information, the person on the phone literally laughed at me for not knowing my deductible off the top of my head (I did tell her I thought it was zero- I ended up being correct) and said she "didn't have anything in the system for me." I explained they were my first call per the website and she very rudely insinuated that I was doing something wrong. I had to pull out of her what I was *supposed* to do and finally she let me know that I need to call my insurance company first, then she will reach out to me. It seemed like she got a great kick out of listening to me fish for information on how I needed to proceed, when I have never had to go through this process before. I found her behavior very unprofessional and hung up the phone feeling upset to have been treated like an idiot when she easily could have just kindly directed me on the necessary steps. And to boot, when I called my insurance company after our call, they were confused and said I can absolutely set it up the way I was attempting and could not understand why the woman at Jack Morris couldn't proceed. Jack Morris has lost my business, it just shouldn't be that difficult to be kind to a customer on the phone. Several years back I bought a Windshield from them for my 72 VW Bus.... great find, so I went back to get some body glass.... They did not know what "body glass" was. Did not step up to help me at all on this one. In my case this is the glass on the side of the bus. just a flat piece of glass. I even had one they could have looked at or used as a template. The phone answerer passed all my question to someone else. took me calling back to get her answer. It was easy to tell that either she did not ask anyone, or whom ever she asked did not know or did not care to help. I was able to call Jack Morris and get scheduled for a windshield replacement at my apartment while I was home between road trips. It was convenient to schedule. IF I COULD HAVE GIVEN A NEGATIVE SCORE I WOULD HAVE! I don't know how they do on auto glass replacements, but for my RV they are a big zero. It's hard to believe, but they initially came recommended by my insurance company. So I called them, discussed their experience on RV's, they said oh yes, we do RV windshields all the time, and our guys are VERY knowledgeable about them (the emphasis was theirs, not mine). Their rep stated several more times that they were very qualified to do the work. So I agreed, they then ordered the glass and we set an appointment for about a week out giving them time to receive the glass and rubber gasket. I called a few days later, the glass and gasket had arrived, and we set an appointment for Thursday morn for me to be there at 7:30 to 8:00. Long story short, I got the RV out of storage, drove to their shop, my wife followed me there also, but upon arrival, after quickly looking at my (rather large) RV the manager told me they were "not qualified to do the work" (his words, not mine, hence the quotes). On top of that, his attitude was absolutely very poor. Heck, the shop doors wouldn't even accommodate my RV, so they would have had to do the work outside. So, that same Thursday morning I called their well-known competitor, and the competitor said they will gladly do the work, including buying the special order glass and rubber gasket from Morris Glass! (very nice of them, as they had no obligation to do so. This not only saved the initial expenses on freight and crating that Morris Glass paid, because the new shop would have had to make their own order for a glass and gasket, and would have to pay shipping and crate fees to their own location. But it also saved the time in ordering a new glass to be shipped to the new shop's address. It saved the insurance company and/or themselves some money by not having to "eat" those shipping / crate costs, not including the freight to send it back to the warehouse!). I have a new appointment for next Monday for installation at the competitor (Lawrence Glass). WOW!...on so many levels. read more

My wife's car had a cracked windshield that needed replacing. Our insurance agent referred us to Jack Morris. Because of his referral, the auto glass company gave us a discount of about $60. They did a great job replacing the windshield, and we haven't had any problems since then. The reason I'm giving 3 stars is that the customer service was a bit lacking. When I first walked in, having made my appointment by phone, no one greeted me though both people at the counter looked up at me when I entered. I didn't know which person to go tom so I just chose one and she was really quite. She found my paperwork and asked for my key. Told me it would be aprox 2 hours. I left and came back about 2 hours later. Same thing! 3 people at the counter look up at me when I walk in and no one greets or asks how they can help. Walked up to one and paid, received my key and left. I'd likely go back if I needed to because the price was decent, but customer service would've made a big difference. read more

Jack Morris Auto Glass is Number One. Best company I've ever dealt with. I'm a stickler for customer service; bigtime. And boy do the ladies who handle it deliver. Im visiting Nashville for work. On the way up from FL I got a small chip in my windshield. The Nashville Audi dealer said, easy patch...just a few pea-size drops that will never bother you. I gave it a try, and they did bother me. And a few tiny veins of cracking were visible outside of the fix area. Possible trouble down the road. Fix not done by Jack Morris, btw. My home dealer said, hey...FL resident? Insurance has to pay for a new windshield. It will always bother you. They know me. Especially in my brand new major rocket ship. And they said it should be replaced regardless. I called Jack Morris because it was on my insurance agency's list of approved companies. The TN office with down home person to person friendliness passed me to the Nashville location and gave me the name of the rep. who would be calling me. She did within minutes. They may have even transferred me right then and there. Told me who I'd be talking to. Wow. My Nashville rep. had an install date for me instantly and took over with my agent, calling them ASAP. She understood my request for an OEM German windshield. Tried her very hardest to get it for me, instead of a the generic replacement encouraged by my "full service" Naples, FL Agency, who did nothing. And I mean she Tried Hard. She called my insurance company directly after my agency provided zero help in 'double teaming' the insurance company. Agency told me I should be 'happy with what I got' from The Hartford. "...just the same as OEM." Not Jack Morris. They wanted a happy customer. She understood that my home dealership said my car systems depended on OEM. And of course that was my personal requirement. Insurance didn't agree to OEM? Big deal. I'd already said I'd pay the extra. She said, let's see if we can get them to cover it anyway. She'd already ordered it from the local dealership immediately so it would be here ASAP. She did the work my agency should have done. And lightning fast. Kept me advised every step of the way. Had an expected arrival time of the windshield; and the install had been set up. It arrived early, so she pushed the appointment up to get it done sooner. These two ladies know their job and let you breathe easy. Told me I could hang out in their waiting room - Lovely and comfortable - while the install was done. And was welcome to bring my ferocious Jack Russell Terrier with me. Hey. They let me know I was in Nashville. Friendly and easy going. The number of incoming phone calls I saw them handle with relaxed efficiency was one after another. Why? This must be the go to shop for people in the know. Don't settle for any dealer pick. Insist on Jack Morris. In between calls? We talked; they recommended things to do in Nashville, made me feel at home. And they were super nice to my dog. The install was Flawless. And quick. And priced right. Those guys in the shop know their work. Told me how to handle it for 24hrs while it cured, and said I was right on to go with OEM German. I cannot imagine a better experience. Anywhere. I believe the local office person who did Everything for me was Pam. I hope I got that right, because she was amazing. Pam was one of two in the office. After it was over? I received a personal email from John Morris. Giving me his office number and his personal cell phone. Making sure everything had turned out well. Hey. A family company? They replaced a windshield in May (on time, polite, and great work) and I had a leak I my car during the crazy rain last week and I took it to the dealership who checked the sunroof drain lines (who knew those were there??) and said they were clear and said I should have my windshield checked. So I did. Timely, polite, professional Matt started with the sunroof.... guess what? Drain lines clogged. He got the driver side cleared, but couldn't clear the passenger side so I took it into their downtown location and they fixed the problem! They also checked the windshield and it was fine! These guys stand behind their work. I had a windshield replaced four years ago, and have had leaks off and on since then (possibly because it rained the day it was installed). Every time I brought it in they've done maintenance with no questions asked. And today they are replacing the whole windshield for free. Excellent! Glenn P arrived at my home last week to replace the windshield on our Explorer. Within a few minutes he brought to my attention that the previous installer had improperly affixed my current windshield. In addition, there were broken parts and an abundance of glue in improper areas. Glenn conveyed the issues to his home office and also spoke with a rep at my insurance company. Not only did these guys mess up my driver's side door today, but they also left a screwdriver on the windshield under my wiper, so as I was just driving down the highway and flicked my wipers on, it broke my windshield again and my left wiper!! Dustin greeted me, looked at the windshield and got to work. He completed the job in under thirty minutes. Dustin explained not to drive for one hour and no car washes for 48 hours.
