This is not the best Jack around. Its good for a truck stop, or carry out. Its. Just. No. Frills. At least they knew what their new Truck Stop sammies they carry, unlike the Jack near my abode. I decided to try once more, and try the cheese steak Sammie. It was steamy hot, and the fries were fresh from the fryer. Hmmm. I got the combo, which turned out to be way more food than I can eat. I don't know why I can't get it through my head that what is a NORMAL size meal for most, is far to much food for my tiny tummy. Anyhoo, I wound up tearing off a lot of the bread. It was dry, like not a fresh bun. The sandwich would have been so much better had it been toasted. I took 2/3 of the sandwhich home and ate the rest of the meat cold. It was actually much better. The fur babies got the bread and my now cold fries. They gave it two paws up. Next time ill take a pass on the expensive combo meals and get one taco and a small drink. Service was good. Bought a #7 combo with a large Coke for my uncle who's in the hispital. Get him his food and when he takes a drink, he spits it out. Wth? I take a sip and I don't know what it is but it's not coke. I take it back (another 15 minutes there and 15 to go back to the hospital) and let them know about the soda. Since I've worked fast food before I let them know they need to change out the coke. This has got to be the worst managed Jack in the Box I've ever visited. Not every visit here is bad. But jeez, how hard is it to smile, or at least make eye contact with a customer. Don't dine in. If there are customers in the drive through, you WILL BE IGNORED!! They don't even say hello to you, until they are completed with drive through orders. OK, I haven't been one of Jack's fans for many years. Their food was always pretty much edible, but not something to get excited about. But a coupon for two Buttery Jack™ Burgers for $5.00 plus a definite lack of funds enticed us to give them another shot. I got the Bacon & Swiss version; my wife likes mushrooms so she ordered the Portobello Mushroom style. No lettuce or tomato, but, goodness! These burgers actually tasted GOOD! Maybe they have a new supplier or something, but this has definitely been a change for the better. Oh, and I like it that we don't have to order exactly the same same thing, like some coupons require. Maybe we don't want two identical items. In fact, we usually don't. They also have a fancy drink dispenser that allows you to customize your soda. You want a vanilla Coke©? Yeah. My favorite. Raspberry Sprite©? Go for it. Cherry something else? You can do that too. Sweet. We noticed also that the automated order kiosk has been removed and the guy running the place (maybe the manager?) was friendly and helpful. I expect to return now. read more

After taking over twenty minutes to fill our order when having gone into the store to order, they forgot my French fries so we had to drive all the way back to get them again. I had watched the girl who had put the fries in the bag and she didn't even wear gloves when handling food . I would give it 0 stars if possible. We live in Beaumont but we drove to Desert Palm Springs because I needed a root canal and needed to eat prior because I didn't know how long after the procedure before I could eat again. We eat at various Jack in the Box locations because I have have many doctor's appointments during the past two years resulting in brain surgery. I always order the same thing. Supreme Croissant without the bacon and an orange juice. Got to the car and opened my box and there was no ham and it was covered in bacon. Went back inside and told the girl with whom we placed our order and told her that. She said no problem we'll fix it. Got my new box and went back out to the car, looked in my box and it was exactly the same. By now I'm mad. Go back in and talked to the same girl. Yes, my voice was louder, but anyone who knows me can tell you I was not yelling. This generation that was brought up on time outs and everyone gets a trophy thinks anyone who speaks a decibel above a whisper is yelling. Believe me, had I been yelling, you would have heard me next door. Bunch of cry babies that have never heard no in their lives. I told the girl they got my order wrong again. Then the manager got into it and chided me for yelling and told me it wasn't this girl's fault, it was the kitchen staff. Any manager worth her salt should have said, I apologize for the issues you are having, let me talk to the kitchen staff and get your order corrected. I simply asked for a refund. Anyone who gets the same order exactly wrong the same way twice, isn't going to fix it a third time. I'm a nurse and had that been someone's medication they might be dead now. And these people want $15.00 an hour to mess up your food, twice and then the manager takes their side instead of a paying customer. I looked at the Yelp reviews and going back five years, most of them are one star. How does this particular restaurant stay in business? I come here often but never really wrote a review due to the fact that the issues were minimal. Today I just went to get some tacos, an order of fries and a drink. I always go through the drive thru and I asked the girl if they had strawberry Fanta and she replied yes. She repeated my order perfectly and when I got to the window she gave me orange Fanta she said she miss heard and changed it for me. When I left I had a sip of my soda and it was cherry soda. Just because it's red it doesn't make it strawberry flavor.!!! To top it off I get home and there's no fries. read more

The worst fast food restaurant I have ever seen. They took over 30 minutes to make my order and issued the same order number to myself and another customer and couldn't figure out who ordered what. This Jack In The Box has horrible service.the soda machine was out of just about everything 20 different drinks and there was only about 5 of them that worked. The bread was so hard I ended up tearing half of it off. My cheese was still extremely cold. We ordered curly fries and got a mixture of both not just a couple in the mix but more like even amount of reg fries as there was curly. My sons tacos were too hard to even bite off and the employees all seemed so annoyed when bothered to ask for ketchup or where my other sons food was. Never stopping here again read more
