They took way too long, we've been waiting for 15 minutes for our food and she never gave it to us until the 20 minute mark hit.

Nice looking restaurant featuring a day of the dead theme with generous outdoor seating & gourmet…read morecocktails. Love the scratch kitchen concept that's so hot right now. Nice, concise menu. Server was good. Prices were okay. On par with similar fare in 2026. Complimentary chips & salsa were fresh. I ordered a 16 oz draft beer & an al pastor torta. For me, al pastor is a telling meat choice. If it isn't great, as in earthy & lightly sweet, thinly sliced & charred for texture & smoky notes, I do notice. I will say, Barrio Queen's pastor was almost too tender. It lacked any char, thus missing the smokey notes & texture contrast. It was almost like a stew. I didn't hate it. Didn't love it either. Side salad looked nice. Next time, I'll try a different meat choice & see if I find one that blows my mind. Otherwise, perfectly acceptable lunch or dinner spot.

And those pops of pomegranate? Total game-changer--adding the most perfect little burst of sweetness and texture in every bite! I went with the trio of enchiladas, served with refried beans and rice, and it felt like such a treat to enjoy a full, delicious meal that's gluten-free (quick heads up: the carne asada is marinated in beer, so if that's a concern for you, you'll want to skip that option!) Out server rocked it and was very knowledgeable on the GF front! A bit pricy, but all in all, it made for a sweet, Sunday afternoon with the fam--great food and great vibes!

We waited 10-15 min before entering the drive thru lane and when we pulled up to the window we were told to park out front and they would bring the food out to us. We waited about 10 minutes before it was brought out. We ordered 3 carne asada tacos, a crazy potato with carne asada, chips & salsa and a slice of flan as well as 2 medium fountain drinks and it was a little over $40. Carne asada tacos were very good. My daughter's crazy potato with carne asada was also very good. Chips and Salsa, the chips were good but the salsa was just ok. We also shared some flan, we both agreed it was just ok and not worth $5. Prices are a little high. I didn't see the option for cilantro or lime anywhere. Everything seemed like it needed a little salt. Plenty of parking, a drive thru, handicap parking, nice sized patio to eat outdoors if you prefer. Overall not bad just a little over priced. I'd go back for the tacos and the crazy potato

We called and asked how to do it. The person put us on hold to speak to the manager. She came back and said those coupons are only good in the store, and not good for a phone order either. We drove to the store and ordered and waited. We got home and realized we were missing 3 tacos. We called and were on hold again while they got the manager. He said he would like us to come back and get the tacos. So we did. He threw in a flan and chips which was nice. The food was good, but all in all it was a not so great experience from start to finish.

I need to talk about my husband and Backyard Taco…read more This man doesn't eat Backyard Taco... he blackouts for it. We don't "order food", we trigger a ritual. The second it shows up on delivery, it's like someone rang a dinner bell for a very large, very determined farm animal with WiFi. He sees the bag and something changes. Eyes lock in. Shoulders drop. The room gets quiet. Not in a peaceful way, more like "this is about to get weird..." Then the container opens and it's game over. There is no small bite. No appreciation phase. Just immediate, aggressive commitment. It's like watching a raccoon that just discovered a full buffet and a deadline. I've seen him go from "normal human conversation" to "hunched over the table, guarding the food like it owes him money" in under five seconds. If Backyard Taco ever sponsored a documentary, I would simply submit footage of him and call it: Man vs. Taco. The taco wins. The speed is concerning. The focus is worse. I'll say something like, "Hey, did you have a good day?" and he'll respond mid-bite with a grunt that I can only assume translates to, "I have transcended this plane of existence and now live here permanently." We order delivery, which somehow makes it worse. There's no decorum. No restaurant pressure. Just pure, unfiltered consumption in the comfort of our home, like unleashing a very polite chaos monster into the living room. And yet... I keep ordering it. Because I've accepted the truth: Backyard Taco feeds my husband in a way that I cannot. And I respect that. Final rating: 10/10.

For this occasion we ordered: Bone in ribeye: 4/5- the 20oz steak was perfectly cooked with a charred flavor, but I personally think it's missing butter and some rosemary. As for the mashed potatoes, it was finely grated and mashed and was just divine to eat Salmon carpaccio 3/5- the ponzu flavor was light and not too overwhelming and thought it was great sauce. However, the deduction comes in the way the salmon was cut. For sure if the Salmon were thinly slice vs chucks, I would've gave this dish a higher score. Cutting it in chucks had this mushy texture Ceviche 5/5- this ceviche was delicious. Right amount of seasoning, and with that hint of coconut it complimented the fish and shrimp to perfection As for the service, definitely could've used some improvement. Our server was slow and didn't come often to pick up our dishes or ask us how we are doing. We were the ones that constantly had to wave her down to get help
