This is a tricky one. I hadn't had Jack in the Box in probably 20 years. I don't remember having an opinion one way or the other about it. But it is currently the closest fast food spot to our house, so I decided to drive through the other day and see if it was worth the stop if we were in need of a little QSR noms without driving too far. It was...a mixed bag. I got a Double Jack combo add bacon with regular fries and Dr. Pepper. The Dr.Pepper was perfectly iced (I'm trying to work with you, Jack). The fries were, and I know what's at stake here, officially the worst fries in fast food. They were stiff and unpleasant and if they were McDonald's fries I'd say maybe they were overcooked, but I think they're just inferior fries. The burger was more complicated. The bun was fluffy and soft. The bacon, lettuce, and pickles were all crisp. The tomato was one of the only red, ripe tomatoes I've had at fast food since forever. The sauces were in the exact right amounts and the American cheese was melted perfectly. That brings me to the actual burger patty. When I was a kid, I had this fake rubber pizza slice that went with a Ninja Turtle costume. I would chew on that fake pizza slice making believe I was eating real pizza. The burger patty from JitB tasted as much like a real burger patty as that rubber pizza slice tasted like real pizza. In fact, it's not even fair to insult non-beef burgers, because Beyond and Impossible burgers taste more like beef burgers than this supposed beef patty. It brought down what were essentially perfect accoutrements with its rubbery blandness. It is literally the most important part of a burger and it had all the flavor and textural appeal of a Nerf product. Seriously, this burger looked as close to the picture on the menu as any burger I've ever had and tasted like the picture, too. Not tasted like the picture looked, but tasted like the picture would have tasted if I'd eaten it. The line was short and fast, the staff was friendly, and the food was packaged well. So kudos to everyone at this location unless someone there was the reason I had to put this abomination in my mouth. read more

I honestly didn't even want to give a 1 star. Terrible service. I had watched the jack in the box workers (young girl, middle nose piercing & another middle aged guy) drop my French fries and put it back into my bag. When she had walked up to the window I had asked her if what I was seeing was right, she slammed the drive thru window and told me to move on with my night. She was rude and even worse they are unsanitary, the type of workers to spit in your food and think it's funny. Soooo....it's fast food; I obviously don't have high expectations, but I expect a bit better than this establishment fished out. The crappy service started at the window where air had to repeat my order along with the options within each order several times. The person was obviously having a hard time either recording the order, or hearing, or paying attention, or all of the above. When I got to the window I noticed the person at the counter register had super long hair, pulled back, buuut not in a bun or braid- just free flowing, waiting to drop strands on an unsuspecting order of fries. Then the person handling drive-through orders had super long hair, but it was at least braided...HOWEVER as she whipped around from register to drink machine, the tip of her braid kept dipping into the ice bin she was filling cups with To top it all off, when I got home, my 7 piece jalapeño poppers were more like a 6 piece. Drive Through Window experience. We noticed that each vehicle were ordering took longer than normal to get orders from customers. We just thought he was a new employee so we left it alone. When we approached the window like some comments in Yelp the employee kept verifying if we wanted curly fries and the cost was $.15 more, and we said yes 4 times for each meal we purchased. First of all, they dropped my food when bringing it to my truck. It was in a bag no big deal. Terrible terrible! The last few times I have been to this location it has been so awful . No matter what time of day morning or night . This last time it was my first time ordering through the app and they missed half my order and my jr jumbo jacks had no meat !!!! Definitely doesn't make me ever wanna use the online ordering through the app every Again The time before that I waited in the line for breakfast for over half an hour and was late to work, and just a few mishaps a few times before that . Absolutely will never go to this location again. The last three times I've gone after getting off of work late and they refused to serve me even though they were open. The first time I was told their system was updating and they couldn't accept any orders. No big deal, it happens. Tried the next night and was directly told everyone was on a smoke break and they just weren't working at the moment. Tried one more time the next night several hours later than the other two times and was told their system was down for an update again. Like everyone says the food takes forever to get. I expect this from any jack in the Box. And I've been to many. They're all slow. However, being so slow, you'd think this location could at the very least get your order right. I don't know how many times I've gotten large instead of medium drinks, normal fries instead of curly fries, and some other sandwich I never ordered. I think the employees here might benefit from some extra training or perhaps another job. The food is also slacking in the flavor and heat department. It's always cold and doesn't always look fresh. Went there to get the most basic coffee; One black coffee with ice and vanilla ice coffee. I asked her if they had vanilla and she said no. Then she said yes. So I said okay one small iced "original". She then said no we don't have vanilla. I was like you just told me twice you had it. So some dude hops on and tries to tell me "original" is vanilla. Okay, I'll take a small and then a large black coffee with ice. They proceed to say they can't. But they can get it hot. I asked for it with a cup on the side of ice. First impressions are everything, so it speaks volumes that when I first walked in this Jack on the Box, I had to wait five minutes for the girl at the cash register to stop fiddling with the receipt printer and actually acknowledge me. The food was about average for Jack in the Box restaurants I've been to. Despite a busy lunch hour, the food was out in a reasonable amount of time. However, I noticed that other patrons had to wait a very long time for their curly fries to be ready. Overall, the kitchen staff seemed very unorganized. I had to remind them about the milkshake I ordered. Next time I'm looking for a burger in this area, I'll probably try somewhere else. read more
