While I usually have bad experiences when I go somewhere to grab something to eat after work I get horrible service. That was NOT the case here, my boyfriend and I went to grab a quick snack for dinner as we've had a long day and get off work late. From the start at the drive thru John was happy and cheerful to take our order and we felt no rush, once we pulled up to the window, my drink was ready and in hand, and while doing multiple things at once when the meal was ready, must've overheard our conversation and grabbed the sauces we wanted before having to ask and had them in the bag. Jack in the Box should be ashamed of themselves for letting a restaurant operate like this. Absolutely disgusting, something growing under the ice tray of the drink machine, out of product, trash and filth everywhere, and worst of all, an employee was touching her jeans, her hair, and then touching our food with NO gloves. So disgusted I didn't even want to eat my food, which by the way was almost $48 for the four of us. Not what I expected from these guys. This is a reminder of why I hardly ever eat fast food. My daughter liked her mini churros and the potato cake was greasy but ok. But the breakfast sandwich was dry and smashed, and the egg was filled with green spots that looked a lot like mold. The Coke was basically water. So with what we threw out, we paid $15 for a few mini churros and a hash brown. Hopefully no one gets sick from the eggs we tried before realizing something was wrong with it. read more

I just wanted to give a shout out to John for having such an amazing attitude! My wife had some late night cravings and so I sat out to get some snacks. We showed up around midnight at this particular location and there was a long line of cars in front of me. When we got up to the speaker to order, I was greeted by a pleasant, friendly voice. John took my order and then was very cheerful when I got to the window to pay. It was late and they were super busy and I could easily see someone being cranky in that situation, but John was a serious breath of fresh of air. John, if you read this, just know you are awesome and your good attitude will get you far! If John's manager is reading this, treat him well! He is an asset to your store! read more

If I was writing a review solely for the food, I would probably rate 2.5 stars because, well, it's Jack in the Box - you know what you're getting into (pretty sure that would be the most honest ad/slogan). However, I'm not here to analyze in depth the quality of my spicy nacho chicken sandwich or meat lovers breakfast burrito, no no I'm here to talk about something of far greater importance: the man, the myth, the legend himself....John. So it's 2 a.m. and my gf and I are the hungry and are weighing our fast food options, which are fairly thin as most places are closed by now and we've been disappointed by this supposedly 24 hr place that rhymes with RickRonald's that always seems to be closed when we crave mcnuggets (more like mc-gtfo). This time we do the sensible thing and call a few Jack in the Boxes in the area. First one is just a mile away but it takes forever for them to pickup the phone and the guy that finally answered basically went "Yeah we're open" and sounded about as enthusiastic as I do when I have to wake up at 5 am for some BS meeting. But I digress. After that we call a different JitB that's about a 20 minute drive away and whoda thunk that this would turn out to be the Greatest. Decision. Ever. John answers and assures us that his store is "rocking and rolling" and he was so upbeat and welcoming he probably could have convinced me to invest in Jack in the Bitcoin (that's gotta exist, right?) or convert to Scientology or schedule a colonoscopy 15 years in advance. He's that damn charismatic. When we pulled up to the drive through, we were given our food by a strikingly handsome man that I knew had to be John. GF and I excitedly asked "ARE YOU JOHN?!?!?!??" For a second, he looked unsure like we were about to serve him a subpoena or maybe he thought we were assassins sent by Chris Kempczinski, but that quickly changed once we explained how impressed we were by his friendly attitude and drove out of the way to come to this specific Jack in the Box to tell him in person how awesome he is. I just want to say who ever was working the night shift 3/10 I understand I came and ordered really late but when I asked for a little more sauce I got a response of " I already helped you" ummm I'm asking a small favor and something that is your job he wore the black shirt that says " I eat my egg roles with ranch" shirt and also I do understand it's late at night but my egg roll was soggy and old I can tell and also my curly fries weren't even warm it was hard and cold and I don't think a 10 min drive would make my food this cold if I'm really gonna pay 10$ for a medium fries and 1 egg role it should at least be warm ( also coming from someone who works fast food, treat people the way you want to be treated) read more

Yeah man. I came to this yelp page and was honestly touched by what I saw. I was sitting here thinking maybe I'm the only one who will got outta my way to write about my many different positive experiences with John, and I was gonna go all out, but, man, just seeing all the love here gives me a lot of hope in humanity. Not to get too deep but There are many unsung heroes in this world. Like, truly. I really feel it's people like John who make people remember that they don't have to off themselves. Maybe that's an over analysis, but, man, every time I see that guy he really makes me happy. I have worked in food service for 11 years myself. Put the job stuff aside. Screw that. All of it. Anyone can do that. Everyone knows that. That also has nothing to do with the kind of experience you will have when talking to John. He is an absolutely kind spirit, and honestly I hope he reads these because John, you make my nights man. I used to enjoy stopping in here for a burger and a soda or for a breakfast sandwich and soda. Prices have escalated to the point of absurdity. I no longer patronize them. The prices of their cheeseburger meals are 50% higher than a Double-Double combo at In-N-Out but not nearly the quality. Nearly $4.50 for a large soda. No, it isn't inflation, it is greed hiding under the cloak of inflation as they simply want to get every penny they can. No thanks. read more

John who seems to work past midnight is an absolute GOAT and deserves all the praise he is getting in reviews. Wether you work late and need a late night dinner or just have a messed up sleep schedule then there's a chance you've been to the McDonald's on S Gilbert and German. Their service last midnight is horrid despite that it's open 24 hours, they tell you to shoe off rudely. Luckily this JITB has John and he gets his food quickly to you as much as he is nice. Put a smile on my face even though he's the one working so late (we've all been there). read more

They have fast, friendly drive thru service in the morning. But at times they get my breakfast sandwich order wrong. I like the grilled bfast sandwich without the meat (ham & bacon) and they normally leave the normally leave the meat on. 8/28/15 (5pm)- the girl at the window asked us for payment and without anyone in line behind us, she told us to pull around and park in the lot and they'd bring our burger and tacos. I got this dry ass beef jerky piece of chicken patty in my sandwich.... which I got the Combo that was $7.28 and got charged $9 something.... Just went through the drive thru at this location and the man running the drive thru was absolutely amazing! I'm not completely sure of the name, it may have been John, but the man working at 10:30 in February 27th was awesome! Such high energy and so charismatic, easily the best drive thru I have ever been through. I really hope this man is being paid what he deserves because he deserves well above minimum wage. I went to Jack in the box tonight on Val Vista and Warner and two young ladies were there working, I had a larger order and when the girl handed me the bag I asked if it was everything, she said yes. I left and went hime to find my 3 curly fries were missing. I drove back and told them and the girl who helped me said oh are you sure because I made your order, I said yes. they continued to question me like I was lying even though they remembered my order and helping me. They told me they were not going to give me my order, I said I paid $55 dollars here I want my missing fries. They then proceeded to tell me to come back tomorrow or Friday to speak to a manager to get my fries. I told them once again that I want my order. Finally another worker came over and got them to give me the fries I ordered. This was the worst experience, these two girls were terrible!!! read more

You know, it seems almost silly to review a single fast food place. But what the heck - life is short, the time is now, and there's nothing to lose but patience. I'm torn on this place, which happens to be across the street from my office. The management seems very nice and friendly, and committed to good service. On the other hand, they seem to have some kind of climate control issue every time I come in. In the summer the food cooks itself, and in the winter you find yourself clinging to your icy beverage for warmth. Foodwise, it's a Jack in the Box. Not much more need be said. read more
