This is my first time at this location, but I always love a good Jack-in-the-Box it reminds me of home in California. They were a little bit slow to get to me because I went inside, but there were only two girls working and they did have a hiring sign up so it was understandable. The girls were all really nice and when the food came out, it was definitely worth it. Overall, I would say this is probably the best Jack-in-the-Box location. Second time coming home from CLT that they did not have tacos. This time, we waited over 10 minutes with only 1 car in front of us to take our order, then another 20 to get to the window. The girl then tells us she only has a third of the tacos we ordered, so I tell her to cancel our order. I then tell her that I wish she could have told us that when we had ordered it, and her response was "Do you need anything else" while rolling her eyes and picking her nails. I would've left, but there's no way to get out of that drive through once in. They're clearly understaffed and slow, but that's no excuse for an absolutely plain breaded sourdough Jack! I had just landed at 8:00am at CLT and was driving down 85 S and saw the JITB sign on the restaurants at the exit I was approaching. I was hungry and about to be on a 3 hour drive through who knows where, so I crossed over a few lanes and made my way to this place. If you know anything about me, I love fast food. 2 of my top 10 fast food items ever come from JITB, their Egg Rolls and the now discontinued Sourdough Steak Melt (It's been gone for years). I'm also not a huge breakfast person, but decided to try something off the breakfast menu. It was 8:30a but I've been up since 3:30a (I hate morning flights) so I had no qualms about ordering an egg roll at this hour. It was as delicious as ever! I also ordered 2 tacos because frankly, they're cheap and there's something about them that so bad, they're great. The absolute star was the Grilled Sourdough Breakfast Sandwich. The Sourdough was actually grilled!!! It was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside and make for an amazing breakfast sandwich. The bacon was crispy and the eggs were fresh and amazing. Wow! Just Wow! The crispy sourdough made the sandwich though. Kudos to the staff for not phoning it in on this morning. They clapped when I told them it was the best fast food breakfast sandwich I've ever eaten. The staff was friendly and I'm glad they were able to make this customer extra happy with some of his favorites as well as a new item. So my wife, friends and I did a Harold & Kumar trip from Poughkeepsie,, Mew York to this Jack in the Box! What a disappointment! We started by hitting the bathroom first, these were scarier then a run down gas station and even dirtier.I guess the franchise owner can't afford to modernize or hire help to keep it clean as we had to wait for the Cintas guy to finishe replacing the mats and toilet paper. The only thing we liked were the Tacos with not enough soy meat in them (I would pay more for extra filling if I could). No employee did a lobby check while we were there and we had to ask for lids for our drinks and napkins. We asked for a jr jumbo Jack with no cheese sure enough it came with cheese. What was real disappointing was they didn't have kids toys or a Jack Head for my ncar antenna. I probably won't be back to JAcks for another 20 years unless the open in new york As a response to the franchise owners remarks below, as I said above I would pay more for extra meat filling in a taco. The issue is your franchise has is your employees don't care enough to make sure the supplies like napkins or cup tops are filled up in the lobby, Or do they care to get the hamburger order correct when asked with no cheese they served with cheese, what if I was allergic to cheese and took a bite I could have died from an Algeria reaction. My experience is also if the customer bathrooms are not maintained with clean grout between the tiles and toilet paper not all over the floor, what must the kitchen that the customers can't see look like? Bad bathrooms=dirty kitchen. Higher paid employees attract people who care who they work for, and if they care about their job they make a better product that the customer likes and they feel like they are getting a better value: Example 5 guys Fries, high price yes but an over flowing cup into a bag makes you feel like you got value even though you paid the higher price. Not like the Soda dispenser in your location that had buttons for Sprite and Diet Coke but when you pushed the button it was unable to dispense, where's the value in a broken or empty drink machine? read more

They now apparently close at 8pm. One of the places known for late night meals now close at grandpa's bedtime. Otherwise, I like their food. One of the tastiest of the fast food chains in my opinion. Gastonia fast food workers are, in general, how should I say, not the most proud of their work it seems... it really is a 50/50 chance your order will be right no matter what fast food place you go to, or a 50/50 chance you'll be sitting in the drive thru line until you get tired of it and leave (more like slow food, am I right or am I right?), but I haven't had any bad experiences at this particular location specifically aside from rolling up at 8:20pm and being disappointed that I can't shove a curly fry down my facehole. They used to be 24 hours and now it's 8 freakin' pm. I'd give them 4 stars if it weren't for that. Maybe even five since out of all fast food places they are pretty far up there in my opinion as far as tasty junk goes. read more

JACK IN THE BOX MARCH , 2024 VISIT TO GASTONIA NC STORE #6803 I was looking forward to trying the new JIB Bacon SMASH Burger. Wow. Disappointing visit. I am not complaining about the 'workers' so much as the Lack Of Training, by management / owner / JIB corporate, whatever. Also this store was missing needed supplies and food offerings. Good news Dept. of Health rating 98.5%...not bad. The JIB Bacon SMASH is a decent sandwich. Not so good: There were a few cars in the drive through. I went inside and saw one waiting for her order at the pick-up area. A couple were waiting at their table. So generally NOT that Busy. I was the ONLY customer inside waiting to place an order. While waiting I watched a young man employee carrying 3 large drinks trying to open the door behind the counter and dropped a drink. I guess those 3 large drinks were going to a car waiting outside. He tried to open the door behind the counter and dropped a drink. I noticed the young man had tremors and I admire him for working. He went to refill the 1 drink and headed out again. Another employee, woman, mid 30's~40?, asked me to open the 2 outside doors for him. I was happy to help and open the doors for him BUT..I AM THE CUSTOMER; I AM A SENIOR CITIZEN (who may have limited mobility myself). I asked the young man if they had CUP Carriers (like egg cartons that can hold multiple (4) cups. He politely answered and said they DID NOT HAVE THOSE. Solution. GET CUP HOLDERS, TRAIN EMPLOYEES TO GO DO THE 'WORK,' AS OPENING DOORS, THEMSELVES IF A CO-WORKER NEEDS HELP.. Don't assign work to your CUSTOMER...even those willing to help out, as I was. Maybe 4 or 5 minutes pass and I'm still waiting to be greeted and to place my order. In the meantime there is shouting between the cook and other associates, repeating orders, confirming the order, and other things I did not catch. Maybe that's the 'norm,' but I don't think so for JIB. Don't remember that in other locations. The same woman, I think, who asked me to open the outside doors, asked to take my order, but seemed unsure if that's why I was still standing there. I placed my order for the Bacon Smash, and a SIDE SALAD. She said WE DON'T HAVE ANY SALAD. That was disappointing. So I changed to onion rings. Then I asked for the BLACK ICE COFFEE. She said WE DON'T HAVE BLACK ICE. I said I'm just reading that off your menu. She offered an Ice Coffee. I accepted that. While waiting for my order 2 other customers' came in. I think they were maybe more regular. A woman employee (same person) shouted out to them that they HAD NO TACOS. She then moved closer to the counter and they placed an order for something else. I'm waiting for my order. The cook yells to the woman in the front "IT TAKES 7-MINUTES TO MAKE THESE SMASH BURGERS LET THEM KNOW". The woman at the counter TRIES TO YELL THAT OVER TO THE OTHER CUSTOMERS WAITING AT A TABLE in the dining room area. They didn't take notice so she shrugged it off. She didn't mention it to me. I am at pick-up. Someone slides my order over to me with no comments or confirmation or thank you...nothing. I'm still waiting for the ice coffee. I mentioned that to 1 woman, no reply. I mentioned it to the young man, he mentioned it to another. The woman cooking saw me still waiting and ask what I needed. I told her "the Ice coffee, but the young man asked someone else to get it". I Got the ice coffee fairly quickly after that....it was satisfactory. The young man was polite but very quiet. The staff is more reactive to my questions or a customer, or me initiating a transaction. I did not get a sense of welcome. Solution: EMPLOYEES GREET CUSTOMER AND ASK TO TAKE ORDER .. DON'T JUST STAND BE HIND THE COUNTER LOOKING AT THEM. KEEP CONVERSATIONS BETWEEN WORKSERs DOWN. I know some restaurants have that as a 'norm,' but I don't think that is the case for Jack in the Box? DON'T YELL OUT TO CUSTOMER'S IN THE DINING ROOM. There weren't many in the dining room The tables were generally clean. There were a few crumbs on the the other side of the table I chose. I think the young man and Others Need More Training about all responsibilities to make this a nice restaurant. If someone is going to this JIB in Gastonia NC, for a quick bite on a lunch break the customer might not have time to wait for service as this seems somewhat lacking in food, supplies and general customer service. I know getting good help is difficult. Management make it worthwhile for your employees. I am NOT sending this for me. I want nothing. We ordered tiny tacos, which were overcooked. We also go 2 orders of fries. They put both orders of fries together. When my husband told her that we had 2 orders the woman at the counter told him they were all mixed together in his sourdough jack combo. He told her that it was two separate orders for two different people. She turned around to get more and called him a smartass as she walked off. My husband heard her and asked to speak to the manager. The manager said she would handle it, but our whole experience was ruined by then. We were staying in a hotel and decided to stay in and buy a late lunch from Jack in the box. My double Jack was okay and the tacos were good. My wife's chicken wrap was good also. The issue I had was with Hub grub who delivered my food at 2:51 pm, but didn't knock or let us know it was laying at our front door. New to Jack in the Box, I've never eaten here. SPOILER ALERT: I've still never gotten to eat here. I wish zero stars was a thing. We came to this location on a Sunday at 10:19am. There were two cars in front of us, one of them was ordering. 5 minutes later another car pulls behind us, trapping us in the drive-thru. At 10:43 a.m. we finally get to the order screen and an automated message comes on then the woman says, "it will be another 10-15 minute wait" before we have the chance to say anything. At this point there was us ordering and one car in front of us who was at the window. Two additional cars could have fit in between us. We told the woman we could not want any longer, if so, we would have dined in somewhere, which is why we are in a drive-thru line and ask if they could ask the only car in front of us to pull up so we can leave and not be subjected to wait another 10-15 minutes. The woman becomes indignant, declaring herself as a manager and says she cannot do that as it is only her and the cook working today and they have to take care of the customers inside the store as well and we will have to wait. We told her we were not being subjected to waiting for nothing. We advised if they could not handle operating the inside and outside, one should be closed and reiterated its already been more than 20 minutes and we need to leave. The (what I assume) manager comes out of the back of the building and starts yelling (with a slight attitude) to the 3 cars cars behind us, (quote), "Ya'all need to back up! Back up and let this customer up here out (pointing to us), we only got me and the cook here today..." We did not catch the rest of what she had to say since the customer in front of us had gotten their food and we were able to pull up and exit. I did file a formal complaint. I received a call from a customer relations personnel in South Carolina. They said they were making changes to this location and it will be fixed. According to previous reviews I've read, this has been said before, so I do not anticipate any change. The only line I would wait for over 20 minutes in is Chick-fil-A. However, at Chick-fil-A, even with their line wrapped around the entirety of the building, it's a 15 minute wait at most during peak lunch hours of 12-1pm. If you are restricted for time, don't go to this location. Wait times seem to be perpetually an issue and once you're in the drive-thru, YOU ARE STUCK. read more

Worst service EVER ! My daught and myself went there tonight to get dinner and i was talking to her while in line they finally got on the speaker and said their system was down. So i noticed the 4 cars ahead of us paying with debit cards so when i finally got to the window i asked why he couldn't take my order. He told me i cussed him which i did not he then starts laughing and tells the other employees i was blanking. When I relocated to NC from the west coast, I was excited to see there "a couple" JIB here, too bad they're so scarce and I have to drive a while to get to one, only because the local store to me in Shelby is so disgusting I won't go there and the manager is so rude and nasty. That being said, this location I have been to several times, but the last two times I have gotten lousy customer service, they don't say welcome, they don't say thank you, and when you ask them for sauces, it's like it was big task, also the board outside is incorrect so the orders (twice) were wrong, they didn't give you the option for which fry, the chicken strips are always over cooked, I could keep going... needless to say, it seems that no one takes their job seriously anymore, so disappointing. read more

Okay so my boyfriend goes to get me breakfast this morning after we slept in and I REALLY wanted hashbrowns. He gets there, orders me a bacon egg and cheese croissant combo BUT they say no hashbrowns because fryer isn't working. Stuff happens, I get it. Ok SO they say they will give him two of the croissants to make up for it, whatever. He gets home. My croissants had only egg and cheese. Both of them. Always eat at jack in the box on road trips down here because we love their tacos. We get there and it smells gross as soon as we walk in. There's dirt or something on the floors everywhere. We try to order tacos and the guy at the front says we can't order that many (we only ordered 6). So we ask why and don't get an explanation. We ask the lady at the back and she says they only have one fryer and they fried fish so our tacos would taste like fish and it wouldn't be good quality. So we order other things. Went at 11am on a Monday morning with almost no one inside. No on in line and waited 5 minutes before we were eve spoken to. Finally started the order and could barely hear the girl taking our order and she spoke so low. They were out of curly fries, the coke machine was broken and another person in the lobby had already told the girl and she has to get him his soda from behind the counter however she immediately handed us empty cups and we had to tell her again that the machine was broken. There was zero napkins in the dining area, we didnt even see a dispenser for any. As we were waiting for our food a woman came in and she wanted her money back as her shakes were not done correctly.
