Molasses moves faster. I read the reviews and knew what to expect but I was starved, had my luggage in the back and didn't want to go to a sit down restaurant and was hoping maybe things had changed. Nope. Pulled up to drive they and no one responded for several minutes. Finally a woman cake in and said " Wait a minute." Another couple of minutes go by and then a young guy answered, " sorry for waiting. How can I help you?" Takes my order. Pull up to the payment window and totally ignored, no one there. Waited another few minutes, still no one. Then someone opens the window, takes my payment, and gets my order. The drive they is supposed to be quick. They even have standards and procedures on how quick they are supposed to respond and how long someone should have to wait. Obviously they are t following them here. It's always so nice when you find a hair in your food-- NOT. Was chomping down on some tacos (from this location) prior to this review... As I was chewing, I felt something stringy, immediately stopped, spit, and saw a strand of hair. WHY... WHY DOES THIS HAPPEN? Employees SHOULD be wearing hair nets on top of hair nets, and hats, maybe keep a hair/lint roller on hand to brush off anything on themselves to prevent any type of hair from getting into peoples food!!!! Nothing good lasts.... For the past year the restaurant had a very reliable person working the window, opening on time etc. That ended about two months ago. I've gone by well after their opening time only NOT to be served. Cars standing in line in front of me waiting for their order to be taken on several occasions now. Go back to what worked!! This restaurant is the most deplorable Jack in the Box that I have ever visited. They serve hamburgers in take out with no meat, I don't mean that I asked for no meat oh, I'm telling you they forgot the hamburger patty. When the greeter drives you away - it's not even a 1 Star business! Don't go here! Go to the one on Fremont - here's why. My experience went like this. I pull up to the speaker, and wait for someone to say "Welcome to Jack in the Box, May I take your order?" But no. I hear nothing. So I wait for probably 3 minutes and "hellooo" -know what the guy says? I'M NOT READY FOR YOU YET Caught me by surprise! I said OK....I waited another 2-3 minutes and said hey are you ready for me yet? He said again NO I'M NOT READY FOR YOU YET I was in a hurry and said hey all I want is two tacos can you remember that? He then replied I'M NOT SERVING YOU... I said "Seriously?" He said YEP (he can do all this communicating but can't take my 2 taco order? So I pull forward thinking I'll drive up to the window but there's a car at the window - so now I have to drive backwards around the turn & up and over the curb just to get out. Trust me, I've been to a lot of drive thru's in my time and I've never been addressed so rudely in my life. I've never had a problem with Jack ever until tonight. 98% positive i got FOOD POISONING for the jack in the **** box. i didn't have any breakfast the afternoon i got 2 jumbo jacks and curley fries. Welcome to Yack in da Box! I love this location. It's your standard fast food fare with a drive thru, but the service is awesome. Staff is top notch too. I admit, the marketing campaign is one of the big reasons I like Jack. I have often found myself rolling through the drive thru late night picking up one of the pot head happy meals. I also dig the sourdough sandwich, Jumbo Jack & Tacos. Feel free to judge. I don't junk food often, but when I do...I am happy to Jack things up! read more

My wife is a week away from her due date. We popped in to CHOMP to have her checked because she was feeling contractions/pressure. Turns out she was ok to come back home and labor down a bit.. but, we were there so long we w mere a bit hungry. We decided to stop and Jack in the Box on the way home and grab a couple small items to eat. Aside from the food being as it was expected to be, the man working the window went above and beyond to make our night memorable. We were clearly disappointed that we were not going to meet our daughter tonight but this guy was very nice and very sympathetic to a couple people coming in at 1030pm-11pm on a Monday night. I'm giving this a 5 star rating, not because of the food (which was good/what was to be expected ) but because of the guy working the window this night. Terrible customer service. Literally ignore you. Expect to wait At least 10 minutes for your "fast food". Staff knows nothing. You ask them about items on the menu and they just say "I don't know" or "I don't think so". Guy working the register, Jose, is the worst. read more

I've been here twice and the customer service was terrible both times. I stopped by and the register was unattended. I clearly saw the workers in the kitchen. I waited and kept looking at the menu in hopes of someone coming by. When someone finally did stop by she looked extremely annoyed and made an "ugh" face. How are you going to look at your customers that way? I had to make eye contact in order for her to take my order. It looked like she had stopped by to get something and she got stuck because it looked like she wanted to leave. She was full of attitude. Other customers got decent customer service. Shhhh...don't judge me Marc D. I was leaning back in a sun chair listening to a random stranger pluck away at his lute (yeah, I said lute) reading my Sunday paper with other Starbucks patrons when a good chunk of my paper flew out into the parking lot. Not feeling good about being a little litterbug, I chased after most of the paper and found myself halfway across the parking lot and up against the entrance of the local Jack In the Box. I felt like I had a tipping point type of experience that led me to the sign that said Waffle Breakfast Sandwich. I don't know what possessed me to order that sugar injected, ball of grease but I certainly didn't regret it. Disheveled mess of newspapers safely under my butt, I dug into my newfound vice and probably offended the hippy vegan granola munching locals. The tiny pockets of maple syrup contrasted so wonderfully with the salt from the sausage and halfway through the sandwich, I no longer cared about my gluten intolerance. Nope. The waffle sandwich was very similar to a chicken and waffle creation A&W chains in Thailand carry. Damn. Now I want that chicken and waffle sandwich from Thailand. I never liked the idea of this strip mall since I grew up within a mile or two of its location. I though that putting a Jack in the Crack would take away from Hwy 68's beauty. Saying that, most everyone I know (myself included) finds the 711 gas station, Starbucks, Jamba and the occasional Sourdough Jack (or in my case Spicy Chicken Sandwich) just irresistable. They've never jacked me on my order at this location but the one on Abrego just screwed me harder than... I can't think of anything appropriate right now last week and the service is always friendly. read more

The two times I have been here it's hard to understand the strong accent the employee working the window has....sorry I do try. It's not the best food but it's a filler.... I only order the fries by the way,,, had a burger here and my child used it for a Frisbee. In my opinion I believe fast food should only be available 3 months out of the year.... but that is my opinion (Health Reasons) and that I am tired of paying such high rates for medical when I am fit as a fiddle. read more

One of the best fast food breakfasts I have had in years. Instead of going to the normal coffee establishment across the street, I went through the drive through here. The service was friendly and prompt. My bacon, egg and cheese biscuit was amazing. Hot and fresh, the egg was a real fried egg--can't get that elsewhere! The hash town was piping hot and crunchy. Have been to this handy location numerous times, at least 20, in the past year. 01/19/17 drive-thru service was very fast at five minutes before noon with only one other car ahead of me! Service was immediate and friendly, with smiles and greetings exchanged. Delicious Ultimate Breakfast sandwich (only) came out steaming hot, with usual napkins, bagged. Quick exit without any problem, except there was not one empty parking space in the entire shopping center. Ate sandwich in the car as I drove, although that is a no/no, as we all know:) This was a typical example of all my previous visits, and why I continue to grab a sandwich here. One of my, now and then, guilty pleasures is Jack In The Box. Got a craving for the Chipolti Chicken Sandwich Combo I saw in a TV ad.. Headed from PG to Del Rey Oaks gliding past the Monterey outlet.. If I am going to have Jack in The Box, this outlet is the best on the Peninsula, IMO.. Every thing about this outlet beats the rest of them in this area. Of course the food is mostly the same by design but, service, cleanliness, etc., means a lot and these people do it right.. Not really busy @ 3PM on a Monday and the young lady at the register welcomed us, took our order and made our change.. As we sat at a table we watched her come out from behind the counter and wipe down every table in the joint, rushing back to the register when the next customer came in.. Wish we had noted her name, I'd certainly put it here.. BTW; The sandwich and fries were pretty darn good too.. read more

If you go here just make sure that the person who accepts your money when ordering does not go back and immediately prepare your taco by touching the lettuce and placing it in your taco without ever going to wash his hands or put on gloves. Almost threw up when this happened. read more
