The opening excitement has died down and we had a T Mobile promotion for a free burger so we decided to try it again. The 4 stars is for the taste of the food. I liked the burger and the curly fries. They have a very large menu. The logistics of getting in and out of Schmale rd.as well as the pain points of going in for counter service rates a one-star rating for me. I did not figure in these factors into my rating. My best advice is to avoid going into the restaurant to order at the counter or to eat in the restaurant. There is no room to wait for your order to be prepared. The self serve beverage station and the order kiosks are right in the middle of where people wait for their order to be done. So it is continually "Excuse me..Excuse me..Sorry, I'm in your way." The restaurant was fully staffed and the workers were very nice. The ambiance of the eating area is poor. The booths have padding on the back but there is no padding on the seat. So you are sitting on a hard slap of formica. And of course if it is crowded, you may experience the overflow of people waiting for their counter order just hanging around your table. That is why I advise doing drive-through. I liked the food enough to try a different location. Getting and eating at a fast food place should not be this difficult. read more

Compared to any jack in the box I've been to in California and in Texas this one is the bomb. First off the prices are less then in Cali and Texas but when you order tacos you actually shells with stuff in them rather than some skimpy teaspoon on of beef and a gallon of sauce. was wondering y not one car was in line for this new drive-thru. seems like a great location although it's congested in that lot a bit at that corner. anyways, it took a long time. good all looked great in the pictures. one part of the menu with the breakfast was already folded over like it needed to be held up better. jus took a really long time, sorta like it did at white castle. the amount of ham on the breakfast sandwiches and how small the bacon was brought about some sadness. needs some more sauce and bigger portions to want me to go back again. i jus don't see this place lasting too long at this point, which is sad since they are so new still. the app doesn't have this location listed yet as a store to set as preferred location. the gremlins meal sounds fun. i'll have to try a cheeseburger next time. burger king is better for the croissant sandwiches. read more

I went there on a Sunday night at around 6pm. There were about 5 cars waiting in the drive-thru lane, so I opted to go inside. I ordered from the kiosk. I ordered a jumbo jack, onion rings and two tacos. After I swiped my credit card, I noticed I did not get a ticket or receipt. I let the guy at the counter know, and he replaced the paper in the machine. The restaurant was not terribly busy and the workforce was well staffed, but it still took 25 minutes to receive my order. I'm not exaggerating on the time, because they have a screen that tells you how long you've been waiting. Anyway, they tell me they don't have tacos so do I want something else. Turns out, they had the mini tacos so I asked for them instead. And I waited, listening to what else was going on. No napkins, out of big drink cups, and workers waiting on the fryers to complete cooking. The manager stepped out from the back for a quick minute. I assumed he was the manager because he was the only one not doing anything. He seemed surprised they ran out of tacos. He went and checked the back room. After a few minutes, he came back and said they had tacos, but the shells were still frozen, and it takes 48 hours to thaw out. Seems like a management issue there. Am I being unreasonable after an establishment has been open for 6 weeks? Out of product, tableware not filled, out of cups, and 25 minute wait? I don't blame the work staff. They were all working. So why did I give it more than 1 star? Well, the food was pretty darn good. The bun on the hamburger was not warm, but it tasted good. The onion rings were excellent, and the mini tacos were a bargain for the price. I'll go back again, but they really need to get their act together. Also, you sign up and download their app, receive all these offers to visit their store and save $$, and then their store doesn't show up on the map, so you can't use the app. 6 weeks is long enough to get the app working. Their sandwiches are really good and their tacos are, for me, a culinary surprise and hard to beat for the price. Especially when there are lines out the door and cars into the street waiting for service all day and most of the night. With that said, I went there for breakfast this morning, and I have to say this was the best breakfast burrito and hash brown from a fast food place that I've had in a long time. Better managers and an owner who actually cares about their location is VERY needed...always dirty, they close lobby early and the lobby smells, slow service and lack of communication within crew. They yell a lot at each other and if they mess up they act like their customers are an inconvenience for asking for it to be fixed or asking for the sauce they paid for. Only 1 door was open, myself and others were confused on if the dining room was open. After entering there was absolute confusion. I work at a high volume breakfast/lunch restaurant and I would have been fired if I was working the way this staff was working (well NOT working)! I have NEVER seen so many staff members not knowing what to do! They didn't need half of that staff. It made it more confusing to the ones that were actually doing something. They kept engaging with the ones standing around. If there was a manager there today (Oct. 16th at 3:15pm) they need to be re-trained. I have so many words that I couldn't possibly write it all. I came here on the weekend and waited 30 minutes for my food. When I arrived there was an angry customer that stormed outside of the building. We still decided to order food. After ordering our food, the workers showed no urgency to work. A customer walked in and wanted to order at the cash register and cashier said "I have a lot to do right now" and walked away. The manager said to order at the kiosk. The customer and I looked at each other with disbelief. It wasn't that busy that day, but the workers looked like they didn't want to be there. We approached the counter hoping to get an update on our order, but we were ignored. After 30 minutes we received our food and it wasn't good. The burger was bland, the tacos were ok, although we did like the churros. We weren't sure if they were understaffed or not, we just didn't appreciate the attitude that the employees had towards us and the other customers. Please improve your customer service. read more

Where do I begin the Carol Stream, IL location. I was so excited that we finally got a Jack in the box in the area. I visited the location for the first time back in January it was okay I got my food pretty quick and chicken supreme was good. I kept bragging on this restaurant to my family, the app is finally working let's go and get some food. We decided to go on a Sunday 3/8 we were indecisive on what to order on the app to be able to use the 15% discount. We ended up ordering 3 teriyaki protein bowls and 2 hot mess combos . We pulled in the drive thru gave her my name ahe could not find it and then she found it. She gave us one of our drinks and told us to pull in #1 and they would bring out the food. We placed the order at 8:03 and they guy to bring our order which was around 8:40 or 45 minutes, he was so rude no apology for the long wait and had a sarcastic comment "this is not a fast food restaurant and proceeded to walk away. There was no thank you just plain rude and unprofessional. This is the type of employees that you hire to work in your establishment. Also, the doors were locked at the time we came but the restaurant closes at 10pm this makes absolutely no sense even McDonald's close there lobby around 10pm who closes the lobby three hours before closing. I had to hear my family complaining about the bad food, the service and the reviews it was a wasted $35.00. I got a stomach ache after eating the hot mess sandwich the fries were the only thing that were hot and tasted good. I will NEVER visit your visit your restaurant again. Sat in the drive through line for 37 minutes before even being able to order and there was only 6 cars ahead of me. To make it worse once you get in line you are trapped and can't get out. There's employees behind the restaurant which i am sure is part of the problem. I understand your new and i'm sure overwhelmed but 37 minutes before ordering, and not even getting food til the 55 minute mark in a drive through is unacceptable and a major turn off.
