We have lived here in GH for the past nine years and it was just this morning that my husband said he wanted to try it. We got there about 11am. A few other parties but definitely not crowded. We were sat immediately. Chips and three kids of salsa were immediately brought to us. I've never seen my five year old eat so much chips and salsa so I guess it was good. I got two steak tacos. Husband for the taco platter. Adam got the chicken fingers and fries. Service was prompt but not overwhelming. I was disappointed to not see $2 tacos on the menu but I know they run a Wednesday evening promotion with $2 tacos. I'd say this is a very solid option. Yesterday I ordered Carnitas tostadas and they were delicious beyond words. I got two fully loaded tostadas with rice and beans and came with a side of sour cream and guacamole. I was able to eat one plus some of the sides and just heated the other tostada in my air fryer And warmed the rice and beans in my microwave. I also ordered a pork tamale and heated that in my air fryer and it was so yummy. Authentic Mexican food at its best. read more

Last night was "The First & Last" time to this place. A friend said the tacos were good - we decided to try them. We ordered a total of 4 Steak tacos to go. The little scraps of meat that was on the ice cold taco shell had a decent flavor, there is "No Saving Grace" for this sell. They charged us 25 cents for lettuce and 50 cents for tomatoes which equaled "Lettuce Tacos" !! There was more lettuce than anything in the cold shells, couldn't believe they gave us 6 slices of lime (for what?? there wasn't any meat to squeeze the limes on) !! We scraped the little off one taco onto the other to attempt to make 1 real taco !! I had to cook us some food to put in our empty bellies. This is my go to place for taco tuesdays. It's their generous portion sizes that keeps me coming back. Quality- carne asada tacos and lomo tacos here are my favorite. The meat quality is not bad, it can be a but drenched with oil but I drench it with spicy sauce to mask the oily taste. My favorite item here is a whole fried fish. It tastes great when paired with fresh veggies. Quantity- I can get a lot of tacos for a buck each. It's impressive how much I get here on tuesdays. I usually get 10 tacos and sometimes a big fish to munch on at home. This is the main selling point for me. Atmosphere- it is quite crowded sometimes and sometimes it isn't the cleanest place to eat. Service- it can sometimes take a while to get seated, get food, and a check. They're very short staffed here. read more

Came out on a Monday night, surprised that there was a good amount of people inside. Either new a management team or something because place looks nothing like it did before. Got told to sit wherever I wanted and then the server would come and take our orders. Started off with chips and salsa. Chips were good couldn't tell if bought or fresh but really good flavor to them. Salsas weren't too bad, didn't take a picture of them put the green was the spiciest and then the one with cilantro in it was prob the best. We had ordered a chicken quesadilla with a side of rice and 3 steak tacos with cilantro and onion. 3 steak tacos, really good flavoring, nicely cooked steak, went well with the salsas. Recommend these tacos here. Chicken quesadilla, probably the worst thing i've had in a while. Something was definitely off with the chicken, unless it's the type of chicken they use but it tasted as if some parts were undercooked or something. Tried to eat more to not waste food but I really couldn't. Thank god for the rice on the side, it never disappoints. Got our check about 45 minutes later, there was some waiting involved, no problem. Little background i cant eat beef due to health issues. So I ordered 8 chicken tacos and I was super excited as I hadn't eaten all day. I finally get my food and I notice the different color of meat, but I was so hungry I didnt think too hard about it. I take a bit of 1 taco and all I taste is beef. I check all the other tacos it all has peices of beef. I bring this up to our server and all they kept saying was "Its chicken, it's chicken". So we call the manager over and show her. She also goes "its chicken it's chicken". So of course I dont eat it. Like I can clearly see, taste and feel the difference between meat. It doesn't take a meat expert. Also even worse. They were not apologetic about their mistake. Instead they talked badly right in front of us as we were paying. They said oh why not take the tacos and investigate. I should've I really should've. Delicious mojarra, the plate comes with so much food. The fish tacos are also really good, the fish is nicely grilled and crisp on the outside. The huarache estilo d.f is also really good! Service is always speedy and the prices are reasonable. read more

My first time at this restaurant. The inside is larger than I thought. The restaurant is organized and cleaned. The staff is friendly and quick. I ordered the stake taco dinner . Decided to try a new place. So we traveled from Logan square to amigas restaurant. First they made us stand at the door for 30mins. We had to stop a waitress to get us a table. Finally after waiting another 10 minutes they gave us a booth. After another 10 minutes they gave us menu. Now after sitting there we noticed the the group that came in behind us received menus and chips and salsa and drinks and we had not received anything. So we left. Can I say the food was good? No. Can I say was the drinks any good? No. All I can say it that I traveled so far just to end up driving away and going some where else. It's sad because the food looked great. read more

This is our first time to visit this restaurant. Our first impression to this restaurant was outside tables layout. It was clean table, no stick pots on the table. It was very traditional Mexican restaurant, waiter who brought chips and very good tasty salsas right after we sat down. I ordered the combination #1 with steak and the tacos was typically traditional Mexican tacos. However, the sour cream was like liquid and the guacamole was a bit salty. So considering that we have been only going on Tuesdays and Thursdays as the tacos are only $1 each with no limit. So getting beyond the deal I would say this is a good place to eat. I get there to pick up the order, they're messing up payment, waited a lot longer than they said it would take, all to get the tacos in a pizza box and nothing like they said it would be like. I thought the food was pretty good but I have to agree with the other Yelpers on this one - their service is soooo bad. It took about 45 mins for them to serve our food, and they didn't even have chips to tide us over until our food was ready. They gave us salsa for the chips but no chips. (I was starving so I didn't even get to take pics of the food) Our server was always rushing us, but was never around when we needed something.
