A great neighborhood Pub. Service is delightful (Dutch people are so friendly - and bilingual!) and the food is good comfort food. Plenty of typical Dutch snacks - bitterbollen, croquettes, generous portions of nuts and olives. Plentiful wine and beer selections, as well as hard liquor. This is a neighborhood place where people come in and have drinks, sometimes for hours, so they don't rush you. My husband and I learned (living here for a few months) that if you want your food quickly in The Netherlands, you need to order quickly, They tend to take a lot longer for a full meal than we do. They linger over and enjoy their food and drinks. So if service seems slow, it isn't. It's RELAXED.
They are also accommodating. When our children and grandchildren came to visit us, they accommodated all ages, from 1-71. I can't say enough about the kindness and good humor of the staff. read more
