Well, I can handle a few bugs in the house, but when I climbed out of bed yesterday morning and a silverfish ran out from where I had been laying, that was my eeew! moment. So I called Ja-Roy (they do our termite control on our 3-year-old home) and told my story to the kind lady who answered the phone. She answered all my questions, gave me a reasonable price and an appointment the next afternoon. Francis showed up right on time today, explained everything they do and proceeded very competently to spray the outside, the inside and put baits in the attic. No smell, no dangerous chemicals and since we use them for our termite service, we will not hesitate to call them if we encounter any more creepy crawlers. Ja-Roy no long believes in Great Customer Service!! Plus they no longer a local company. I used to have a termite contract on my house when I first bought my house 30 something years ago. I requested someone to come to my house and give me the termite inspection/estimate two weeks ago. They were scheduled to be to my house on May 21st at 2 PM which I was working on my vehicle at that time outside in my driveway, I noticed a Ja-Roy White Maverick truck pass by and turned towards the back of the neighborhood. He never once stopped and see about coming to give me an estimate on my house. The person that took my phone call never once said I had to be at my house but I was. There is no reason for them to come inside my house when I'm looking just to do an estimate. It's a waste of my time I was looking to get a price/estimate. If they need to come inside and look at some other things to get a better price for some other items them then they can still do that once I go over the estimate and do a revised estimate but if they would've came and showed up when they were supposed to then this would be a moot point. They should've left me an estimate like I requested. Because of their lack of communication and being punctual on time, today since then I called Authentic Pest Control to come give me an estimate. He said he will come walk around my house tomorrow and leave me an estimate, the best part about it is I talked to the owner on the phone not some call phone center. I since called their phone center again and asked for Rodney the branch manager to call me or Nathan, Anthony's boss because Anthony hung up on me a little while ago when I tried to call him and asked him where my estimate was. Please think about this. It's now been two weeks since I called to even try to get them come to my house to do an estimate. Would you want these people in your house? Do not deal with this company all automation no customer service. I Have had a contract for years for termites. They did nothing when to termites appeared. I wonder if they even put the chemicals in the ground. read more

When someone wants to cancel service, just say "sorry to see you go, let us know if we can help you in the future." Instead they keep wanting to talk to you, several texts where I said that I just wanted to cancel. Required that I call in, which I did. She said she understood and we hung up. Next day someone else is calling! Stop bugging me, I passed totally aggravated yesterday and I will never go back. LEAVE ME ALONE!!! read more

Twice technician was a no-show, last year and yesterday. No communication whatsoever that he/she was not coming both times. Got the same excuse this year that I got last year, understaffed. Going with a more reliable company. Anything is better than this. read more

I have had a Contract with Ja roy for 5 years.. I called after sending in my yearly $212.00 and they informed me the contract is not enforceable they will send my check back? Aren't e Grandfathered in? I heard they were squires in the last few years.... Not so interested if this is how they treat their customers... My Wife and I scheduled an appointment 2 weeks out to get some racoons removed from our attic. They never called or came for the appointment and when I call, they transfer me to dead lines or put me on a list and do not return the call. We still have racoons in our attic and will be using a real company to get them out. Do not pay this company a dime. read more

We called for squirrels activity in our home. No one showed up for our appointment or called to let us know. We called at the end of the window they were supposed to arrive and the company was unsure if the tech was even at work that day. An hour and a half later we called again because we had been waiting for a follow up or for someone to eventually get here. At 11am they still aren't even sure if their employee is even at work today. People take off work to wait for you. This is extremely unprofessional and unacceptable. read more

Since they sold out to RENT A KILL their service is terrible. You cannot speak to anyone at the old Covington location. You have to go through prompts and then you can leave your number for a call back which I never received! Not only that, I do not answer unknown numbers and also never receive a voicemail. Once Dugas transitioned to Ja-Roy, the service went to $hit! They have been no-show to my home for a scheduled appointment and they just reschedule on their own without even calling the customer. Not pleased at all and looking elsewhere for bug and termite services. read more

This used to be a good company but since they have switched to using a call center they are now a horrible company. I have multiple properties I use them for and I am now about to lose a tenant because of their lack of service. I hear really good things about Billiot pest, if someone answers from their office I will be switching today. read more

I am very unhappy with my JaRoy experience. First of all, in the six months we had JaRoy as our pest service, an old family photograph that had hung on the wall in New Orleans for over fifty years without any problem, was damaged by cockroaches. Second, when the month we should have had our quarterly service passed without a call from JaRoy, I called them. It took me three tries to finally get to someone who would schedule an appointment for me. Third, the guy shows up to spray, hands me the invoice, goes back to spraying. I go to make out the check for him, wait a while, and then go looking for him. He had left, without a tap on the back door or a doorbell ring, to check in and tell me that he was done. And he left the back door wide open onto the street. read more

I contacted Ja-Roy instead of Orkin so that I could support a locally owned business. They talked me into their "guaranteed" spray, $75 quarterly with options to re-treat if there were any problems. Their normal indoor/outdoor treatment is $30. They came and sprayed. We saw quite a few more issues after a few weeks, so I contacted them to come back. The technician came and tried to treat us....for another $30. There was no guarantee. They charged us more than double for one treatment and never held up their end of the deal. I won't stop supporting locally owned businesses, but I won't use Ja-Roy again. read more

Ja-Roy Pest Control has been my Pest Control comapny since 2003 and I wouldn't use anyone else. They have competitive rates (I have checked others), have great response time, and always amazing customer service. read more

We had rats in our attic and walls - yuck!!! They came out that afternoon. It was a really bad problem and then turned out to be squirrels as well. The rats eventually cleared up and now we can tackle the squirrel problem (which is a pest that many pest control companies won't even attempt). Francis from Ja-Roy has either stopped by or called just about every day to check on us knowing how freaked out I've been about this issue. I can't say enough positive things about their commitment to getting this resolved. read more
