While looking around, we saw a clothing rack with a lot of clothing on sale. Sifting through it, I found a couple items to try on. There weren't any employees by the fitting rooms, though. I had to ask another employee to find the one working in that particular section to unlock the changing room door. The employee that came was apologetic, as she was on the far side of that section. When it came time to pay, there was one customer at the counter talking through something with the cashier, and it seemed like it would take a while. There was another customer in front of us in line, and she had many items. We ended up going upstairs to the cashier on the ground floor.

Most big box stores and corporate sporting goods companies unfortunately have no clue about customer service/relations, they would rather bring you in, sell you whatever they can and move onto the next customer without actually catering to your needs and best interests. Its crucial, most especially when it comes to fitting equipment, that the gear fits right, otherwise it can result in injury or poor performance. Equally with regards to skates, if the skates don't fit correctly, this could result in physical issues with ankles, knees, hips or the lower back... not something to compromise, most especially in youngsters and youth while their bodies are growing and taking form. Even their skate sharpening is second to none! CLP Sports is a community landmark business, having established huge credibility and respect, not only in the Clarkson/Lorne Park area of Mississauga, but also throughout Mississauga, the Toronto GTA, across Canada, the US and even Europe. Why have they remained in business for so long and how have they gained so much respect? Simply because their main focus, as with most corporations is not on "the bottom line, its concentrated in providing the best customer service and providing the best products at the most competitive prices. Sure, you can go out to a big box store and possibly find cheaper products, but cheaper isn't always better, most especially when there is no integrity behind the service. If they do not have a desired model in, they will have it brought in within a couple of days, and they provide competitive price matching. Their skate sharpening is superb, and they offer a special discount card if you prepay, which is easier for when my kids go directly there to get theirs sharpened, as they track this without having to display the card.

An axe I ordered was delayed, to no fault of these guys; but instead of just sending a form email with new expected delivery dates they contacted me and offered several options on how I may have liked to move forward. I missed the first email (junk mail bin), but they also left a voicemail looking to get in touch over my order. I emailed them back and they sent along some sharpening oil, etc with my order when it did arrive. I've gotta say, this is not what I expected as an online, faceless customer. But besides being delighted over my new axe, I'm happy that they valued my business enough to personally reach out and make sure that the resolution over the shipping delays was tailored to me. Three games! I've played hockey long enough to know that this is completely unacceptable. My sticks typically last an entire season, sometimes close to a year. What makes this experience even worse is their customer service. When I contacted HockeyStickMan, I was told that Pro Stock sticks don't come with a warranty. Here's the problem: The stick itself clearly has "PRO BLACKOUT PRO STOCK 30 DAY WARRANTY" printed directly on it! Apparently, their customer service team doesn't even understand the warranty advertised on their own products. Because I was slightly beyond the 30-day window, they essentially told me there was nothing they could do. No replacement, no meaningful attempt to resolve the situation, just an apology. I understand warranty periods exist for a reason, but we're talking about a hockey stick that failed after only three uses. A reputable company should recognize the difference between normal wear and tear and a product that prematurely falls apart. I wasn't expecting special treatment. I simply expected HockeyStickMan to stand behind the quality of what they sell, especially when trying to earn the trust of a first-time customer. I gave this company a chance, and they gave me absolutely no reason to ever purchase from them again. Hockey equipment isn't cheap, and there are plenty of other companies competing for our business. Based on my experience, I would strongly encourage fellow hockey players to think twice before spending their money here. Three games. One failed stick. Zero customer satisfaction. Extremely disappointing.

We've been going to this bike shop for years because it's the only option in our neighborhood, but…read moreunfortunately the experience seems to get worse with each visit. The customer service is consistently disappointing. Staff rarely makes eye contact, there is little to no acknowledgment when customers enter the store, and basic courtesies such as greeting customers or providing updates on wait times are completely absent. It is extremely inefficient and disorganized. What makes the experience particularly frustrating is that there can be only a couple of customers in the store while several employees are on the floor, yet it can still take 30 minutes to an hour just to get someone's attention or speak with a staff member. During these waits, there is often no communication, no indication of who is being helped next, and no confirmation that anyone will be assisting you. As a family that loves biking and has invested a lot of time and money on our bikes, it's so frustrating to get it serviced at this location and will be looking at going elsewhere.
