The staff were absolutely friendly, and since this was my first time owning a pair of skates (bought second-hand elsewhere), the staff member chatted with me about how to care for them and keep them well maintained. No upselling, just sharing their expertise. They did a great job with the sharpening and it only cost me $9 for each pair. Will continue coming here for future sharpening.

The staff were very helpful, gave good advice and recommendations. They have a good amount of choice and gear. I'd say if you didn't know exactly what you wanted while you may not be lost, its not easy peasy. Their prices are competitive with other places and even the large box stores. The one thing I find could use a bit of improvement was ability to get help. They seemed busy that it's tough getting help. They should notice the lost customers immediately. But when you do get help, they devote their attention to you and don't get distracted easily.

At least they will take their used gear back the next day or the next season if you want to trade up or get a different size. Then you will only pay the difference and help support the store with renewed stock, a very cool idea! So there you go - no excuses when someone says, 'Let's go skating!'

The man sizes my daughter and took his time adjusting the helmet until it fit her perfectly. He was very good with her and talked with her about hockey. When we cashed out we realized we had actually come in past closing time, but you wouldn't have known that with how they all acted. Everyone there was so nice and didn't rush us at all, even though we apologized for being there past close. So the Big K headed in first while I went to Dollarama nearby to waste some time. How long could buying a hockey stick take? I finally had to enter National Sports to investigate the Big K's disappearance and within record time I was greeted by a very friendly salesperson who not only found The Big K for me, but three perfectly wonderful, very expensive hockey sticks that could significantly improve The Big K's game (and in sum total cost more than my dishwasher.) After much careful consideration, The Big K finally settled on "just one" (thank goodness) from this neatly organized and well-stocked store. I rushed the Big K with stick in hand to the check-out (in an effort to prevent him from buying anything else.) Even the cashier was super-charming and personable and made paying the large bill less painful. Final words: bring lots of cash. This store is conducive to shopping.

The one employee, Noah, could basically own the place. He's probably about 15 years old and knew absolutely everything when we had questions about gloves and skates. He sized and baked the skates on, and was so impressive with his customer service. (Keep up the great work if you see this!) They are used but in excellent condition and were sharpened for us as well. It's $30 plus tax for a pair of used skates and sharpening. NIKE Shoes at an Outlet Mall [Mississauga ON Canada]…read more Hubby saw this Nike Clearance Store and said that I should retire my old Nike tennis shoes. My old sneakers were the most comfy shoes I've owned. I can walk miles on the Vegas Strip with those pair of Nike shoes without my feet hurting. It's old, it's got holes, not on the soles but the sides, I didn't care... but I agreed with the hubby only because I am not able to dry them from the boat tour at The Niagara Falls. It was soaking wet. The store is huge. All the shoes are displayed out on the floor so if you like a pair but it's not your size then you're out of luck. The aisles were in sections by gender first then size. Clearance means not the latest model shoes so don't expect the latest here. The store was organized and neat. I noticed that all the shoes are on the shelves and not strewn down messy on the floor. Eventually, I found a pair of shoes. It wasn't love at first sight but I guess it'll grow on me eventually.
