But once you get the lay of the land, figure out where and when things are kept, and realize that even the cool stuff on their walls and displays is for sale, it's hard to walk in here without buying at least one or two things. I like to start in the back, at the 50% off rack, then work my way towards the higher priced items in front. Yes, things are a bit pricier than you average consignment shop here. But you get what you pay for, as most of their items are high quality, recognizable brands, and I rarely find anything flawed or dirty. But when I stopped in Joe Fridays Shirt Company, yes it could scream 'tourist trap', but I wanted to get a souvenir for myself and my son. We usually love hoodies and T shirts from places visited. The counter person was a standout, very welcoming and willing to answer any questions. I ended up scoring on items that were marked down for the season. Nice quality T shirts that also came with baseball caps. Whoever that saleswoman was, sincere gratitude for being a positive, friendly ambassador representing your business and community in Friday Harbor.

But thankfully, the store had several clearance racks and shelves outside of the front of the store. I found extremely reasonably priced and very adorable shirts to bring home. We've had the shirts for almost a year now, and they have lasted very long. The design integrity is solid and the shirts have not shrunk. I'm a happy camper!

What actually happened was my husband found approximately everything he has ever wanted. Jackets, gear, "ooh look at this" items, suddenly it was less holiday shopping and more Yeagers-sponsored shopping spree for him. And honestly? I'm not mad about it. Because now I know exactly what Santa is bringing him (Great job, Santa. Nailed it.) We did successfully shop for the people we came in for...one lucky person is getting a Yeagers gift card (which honestly feels like a win for everyone). I also found the cutest raincoat ever, cowboys, cows, and horses, plus matching rain boots, BOTH marked down. I mean come on. Instant joy. Yeagers has an amazing selection of high-quality, top-tier outdoor clothing brands, a massive toy section, a great shoe department, and just so many things you didn't know you needed until you see them. It's one of those places where you go in for "one thing" and leave smiling with a cart full of happiness. Highly recommend especially during the holidays.
