JR crickets is a good neighborhood staple for wings. The wings are always super tasty. I got my food to go & there is a separate line for to go orders which is nice. Only reason I'm giving 3 stars is because my food was cold, which is odd since it was supposed to be made to order. They also serve homemade bleu cheese which is $2.99 - very good but pricy in my opinion. There is a bar in this location which is chill and good for watching games. Decided to head here for some drinks and wings on a last minute outing. Upon arrival, the servers were no where to be found so we asked the bartender if we could just sit anywhere and they said yes but after a few minutes of being ignored we decided to just sit at the bar. It was a party of 3 and we all ordered 10 pieces to go and a few double shots. The bartender was very attentive and did everything perfectly and saved this experience for us. A group of colleagues and I decided to try this place out after work. We arrived and was greeted by a friendly staff. The atmosphere is bar/grill style. Pool tables, nice bar area and plenty of TV's and projectors. They offer a full bar, and after taking our drink order, the waitress returned to take our food order. Wings are one of their specialties, so how could I go wrong, right?? They had plenty of sauce options, and had options like all drums or flappers. I ordered the single order which was 10 wings and fries. The wings did not live up to the hype that I was told. They were very small compared to other establishments that I had been to. They were overcooked and tough to get through. On a positive note, the sauce had very good flavor, and the blue cheese and ranch dips were excellent. Probably the worst dining/bar experience I've ever had. Things were fine until the food arrived. I ordered 10 honey hot chicken wings with lp sprinkles; what I got was 10 little infant wings without the lp sprinkles. I informed the bartender - she apologized brought the lp sprinkles from the kitchen. Next, my brother went to use the restroom. About 5 minutes later, he called me to say there was no toilet paper or paper towels in the mens restroom! I immediately informed a staff member who informed the gentleman who appeared to be the manager. 10 minutes after that, no one had taken any paper products to the mens restroom. I started to walk to the restroom with bar napkins for my brother, but he met me in the hallway explaining that he had to sneak in the Women's with a dirty a s s to steal toilet paper. Insane! Upon finishing the meal, my brother attempted to pay for his drink. The bartender (politely) told him that cash app cards are not accepted at this establishment. He explained that the card is a Visa Debit and he hasn't had a problem anywhere else. The bartender replied that Cash Apps's banking system has been problematic so the cards are no longer accepted. Luckily, I was present to care for the bill otherwise I'm not sure what would have happened. I almost forgot to mention that construction was taking place in the bar at 9PM on a Saturday night. Someone was running what sounded like a mitre saw in a closed off section of the dining room. I'm no expert, but running power equipment during peak hours at a bar probably isn't the best idea. Finally, they had the audacity to automatically include a service charge! All things considered, I wouldn't recommend this establishment to anyone. A few years before moving to Boston and during my hair appointments, I would walk next door to the location in the Camp Creek Marketplace area. J.R. Cricket's is most famous for their Chicken Wings, however I ever so often would get the Chicken Fingers or Chicken Sandwiches, with resulting in a good outcome each time. Not here. My visit was amongst some relatives and our Waitress was mediocre with her non engaging and negative body language. She could have hindered our outing if we allowed her to. We all decided to keep our gathering short, and I ordered a 10 piece with medium flavoring with a side of ranch dressing, French Fries and a Long Island Ice Tea. We chatted, ate and left. I honeslty can't recall the food not being good at any of the locations. I ordered the Tuesday Special- 2 cluster crab legs and I also got a tossed salad with only lettuce, bacon, and croutons with ranch dressing. My crab legs were spicy to me (only old bay seasoning). They were a little cold but I ate my salad first so that's figured. My salad was good and the crab legs were better. A bit hard to crack. We're not locals so we're not sure if the pricing was bad or good. To me, it seemed reasonable. I also got the sweet tea which was not as sweet as I'd have liked but it was good. It complimented my crab legs delightfully. When we walked in they were playing loud rap music- Kodak Black's skrt. It was an atmosphere I loved but my 87 year old grandma wasn't too happy lol but I loved it. They had huge TV's playing sports, so I'm sure the place is definitely lit on the weekend especially if there's a game on you want to see. I would eat here again. Fast forward our chicken comes out to the table, but we have no silverware. Had to literally get up n walk across the restaurant to get out "waitress" to come back to our table to get some service. Had to chase her down the same way when it was time for the check (sat n waited another 20mins for that). At this point the evening is beyond saving because of the terrible service. Ohhh, let's not forget to mention the table of females "turning up" w/ pitchers of drinks while their very young children were running wild (mind you it's after 11pm on a Sat night)!
