It was just such a great experience from start to finish. We had a little party with some bubbly and my favorite girls to pick out my dress with Martha and all the ladies in the salon were excited and involved as we made our decisions. It was always such a great mood and vibe every time I went in the shop. I went back a few months later when my dress came in and took the moms in to pick out their wedding outfits and show them MY dress! They held onto my dress for me, delivered it to Sew Forth alterations, picked it back up from alterations and steamed it for me so it was wedding day ready - all included in purchasing a dress from them. 10 stars. This was my 3rd dress store and I found some amazing contenders in this store. The prices are very affordable! Overall my group and I had a really fun time! The team at J Lynn Bridal are the absolute nicest people you will ever meet. They were very friendly during my appointment to try on wedding dresses. This was the first and only wedding dress shop I visited... there is no need to go anywhere else! The space is pleasant, comfortable, and clean. During the appointment, a staff member stays with you the whole time, offering advice and suggestions, and answering any questions as you try on dresses. The dress I ended up buying was actually the first dress I tried on! I tried other dresses, but that first one was the one for me. I received so many compliments during the wedding and the dress is so gorgeous! When buying a dress, they take your measurements at the store while you have the dress on. My dress arrived months well before my wedding date. J Lynn Bridal offers to keep your dress in storage for free and also provides a free dress steaming service before your wedding day. They provided suggestions for alteration services local to Lawrence, KS. They also have other dress options for the bridal party, mother of the bride, and really any formal event that requires a dress. My wedding was back in December, but I haven't thought about writing a yelp review of my experience until now. I took my bridesmaids, mother and mother-in-law to J. Lynn Bridal to pick out their dresses (I had found mine somewhere else already) and it was a wonderful experience. There were many ups and downs leading up to my wedding day, and the staff at J.Lynn were able to navigate them so smoothly and gracefully. I love the people that work there, the store is beautiful, and I was always happy to run an errand there. The staff at J. Lynn came to my rescue when my wedding dress came back from alterations covered in little red, green, and black strings and fuzz balls. The shop said they would steam my dress and pick out all of those fibers for me AND at a reasonable price. I was incredibly thankful. The day before my wedding, I came to pick up my dress so I could bring it to our hotel in Overland Park. I was in a grumpy mood mostly just because we were having some stress coordinating family members and I was running late. I saw my dress hanging up near the front and the staff member read some papers that were attached and went to get the owner. The owner came up and read the papers and said not to worry about the fee, that it was on them. I was shocked and very grateful since I was so stressed in that moment. I put my dress on about half an hour before we left for pictures the next day. After I put it on, my bridesmaid noticed a few fibers. She kept looking and we found many more. At the time when we found the fibers still on my dress, we wouldn't have had time to take it from Overland Park to the Lawrence shop. We tried to handle it ourselves and three bridesmaids, my mother and mother-in-law and even my hair dresser (it was a very poofy dress with seven layers) started picking and lint-rolling the fibers out of my dress. Thankfully, they were able to get enough out that it wasn't as noticeable. My wedding was a perfect day, but the experience of putting on my dress began stressful. I understand that miscommunications happen. I am glad they didn't tell me about the issue when I picked up my dress. I do wish that they would have called my bridesmaid to let her know so she could handle the situation. Afterwards, I didn't know if it was fair for me to complain to the shop because I didn't pay for it. But, it would have been nice if maybe they would have called or sent me an email later on to explain and apologize. Otherwise, J.Lynn is a beautiful shop with very kind and supportive staff members! I just suggest to maybe call and confirm the day before picking up your dress to make sure it was steamed. read more

I had my first wedding dress appointment with Jena. She set the bar very high! She helped me find my dream dress! Jena was very receptive and listened to what I wanted. She made the process fun and stress free. She also accommodated a pretty large group (9), and made the appointment move quickly! I visited a couple of other stores/shops and made my way back to J.Lynn. Jena worked with me and helped me every step of the way. J. Lynn SAVED THE DAY! Long story short I had been planning on wearing a custom dress that had been in the works for months but turned out to be unwearable 3 days before my wedding (see Janay A. Eco Bridal review). Very weary, I came to J. Lynn and they carved out time for me in their day and let me shop their samples. They were SO helpful and this shop has a beautiful selection of gowns and designers. I really have no idea what I would have done without their accommodation - my wedding day would have been very different and not for the better. I had been in much larger shops that I don't think I would have been able to walk out with something off the rack that I loved as much as my Nicole Miller gown. J. Lynn was the absolutely best place for me to buy my wedding dress! I had gone to all the boutique and large-chain retailers to find a dress, but it's such a zoo at those places so I never felt like a bride, just a girl going through the motions. I had no idea what I wanted in a wedding dress (style, material, etc.). I was actually going to cancel my J. Lynn appointment, but something told me to go ahead and go. I went on a Sunday afternoon and was the only one in the store! I got very personalized attention and they asked all sorts of details about my wedding. When I found my dress I was like thank god!
