Went for a brewer game and decided we wanted better than the average stadium food. We weren't disappointed. We probably paid the same as we would have at the stadium food counters but was much better. I had the Big Tex burger with bacon, cheese and avocado with a side of loaded potato salad; both were delicious. My wife enjoyed her grilled caprisi chicken sandwich. We stopped in before the Brewers game started and was pleasantly surprised. There was a wait to be seated, but we were fortunate to find two seats at the bar. Service was excellent. There were 3 bartenders and each one was very attentive and they worked so well together to ensure each customer was taken care of. They had a variety of beers on tap, lagers, IPAs and shandies. My husband tried the summer shandy and the Raspberry Wheat- it is only available here. He enjoyed both. They serve drinks in aluminum cups , which retains the coldness. They offered water in the cool aluminum cups for us to take to go, which I appreciated. They have an extensive menu and many food options, but we only ordered cheese curds. The staff was really friendly and even let us try a couple samples so we could figure out which one we liked best. You don't always get that kind of service at a ballpark. And the beer? It came in these cool aluminum cups that actually kept it cold the whole time, which was awesome. No warm, flat sips halfway through. Had a nice first visit here. They have plenty of free parking in the off season. The place was fairly open and really stretched pretty far back so even more room to accommodate large groups. We were seated quickly and asked for our drink order right away. On Saturday, they had $1 wings and $5 pints. Pretty great deal considering the prices on their menu. Our server was friendly and attentive. We ordered the burger and chicken littles and both were good sized portions. The biscuits for the chicken littles were pretty hard though and tough to eat. What a neat place!!! We were visiting from out of town and during our planning we saw you could come here, even on non game days. We arrived, and the place was pretty busy. With not many seat options, we sat at the bar with no issues as we typically love to sit at the bar anyway. We were quickly greeted by Andrew, who just as quickly grabbed us our beer. While sitting, we noticed there was a door leading to the field area. We asked Andrew if it would be possible to go get a picture of us with the field. He said absolutely and led the way, and he took a couple of pictures for us. We were not super hungry, so we only ordered a small snack. Since we were in Wisconsin, we had to order some curds. They were brought out and looked amazing. Perfectly breaded and fried just right. They were equally as tasty. While enjoying a couple more beers, we noticed they were setting up for an event. At one point, we were even asked to move down a row to accommodate the speakers of the event. Of course, we did so, but slightly annoyed. Why let us sit there in the first place?!?! Eventually, the event started. It was an event for I believe annual ticket holders for the baseball team that featured the three head brewers for Leinenkugel 's. And they were having a beer release party. So a pretty cool event...if you are actually being able to participate in the event. We sat at the bar and drank our beers and enjoyed the company of Andrew and Sarah. It was slightly annoying, though, as the event was rather loud. We think they should have either closed the place just for the event or at least had a sign up at the host/hostess stand. At the end of the day, it didn't ruin our time here, just a little annoying. We had a great time and really enjoyed Andrew and his beer knowledge, and we for sure would come back. We enjoyed their nice beer selection and bartenders. It is worth noting that the prices are very reasonable and parking is free, on non games days. I've been to barrel yard a few times, this time for a friends birthday. We booked the tinsel room and the room itself is super cute! The decor was great and the private room aspect was nice, it was great that the package included a drink per person. I had the holiday spritz, which was pretty good! The one issue was the service was fairly slow...you only get 90 minutes in the room, so the slow service really affected the experience. We moved outside and ordered some food - the food was alright, but they didn't cook the jalapeño dip that was ordered. They did offer to throw it back into the oven, but it never should've been served that way and a new one should've been offered. Overall the space was cute, and my experiences at barrel yard previously have been pretty good! It's definitely a good place to hangout on game day. read more

I had such high hopes for Barrel Yard and was looking forward to dining here with some out of town guests, but was pretty let down. The positives: The interior is a nice change from what it used to be and love the fish mural. Our server, I believe her name was Fayth was great. Now to the not so positives: The cheese curds were super greasy We were the only table there and it took a really long time to get our food. The million dollar view. In my opinion this is one of the best seats in house! You can see the entire field obstruction free. The chairs are really crammed in around the tables, but you still have more room then you would elsewhere in the stadium. We have sat in these seats a number of times prior to the re-branding at the end of last season and had never been disappointed in a thing. This experience was different. Our service was terrible! We had to flag down our server every single time we needed to order something and he, Vince, did not once check on us. When we sat down we waited 20 minutes before he first came to the table and that was the last time he came to the table on his own. Now the food, the pretzel is usually an obvious choice - good, filling, and hard to mess up. Well it was cold, not once, but TWICE! In the end it was removed from our bill. The churro donuts however, were amazing. We ended up ordering it again because everyone wanted more! The mile high cake was also very good and WOW look how big that slice is - giant! Stopped by the Barrel Yard during the Brewers game. Definitely gave the place a facelift. The booths were nice and clean with really pretty wood. Loved the new atmosphere! Had a burger with steak fries and the Neuske's bacon hanging by the clothes pin. It was a very cute presentation! Our burger and fries came out very hot and fresh. We sat in the new brew room, which is a spot the comfortably fits 50-60 people. Great view of home plate. We dined at the new Barrel Yard on the Fourth of July. Unfortunately, our table was one of the few stuck in the sun a majority of the game. We started with the pretzel appetizer. We enjoyed the beer cheese and horseradish mustard dip. The cheese was cold which threw us off a little, but had great flavor. I really wanted chicken tenders (not wings) so our server let me order from the kids menu. I actually really enjoyed the tenders and I think they should be on the main menu! My parents split the roast beef sandwich and I ordered a couple of biscuits for the table. My parents enjoyed their sandwich, and we all agreed that the fries were good. Those biscuits-yum! This was our first visit and super excited to be here on our way to the Bucks playoff game! Ashley was our server and she was amazing! She had fabulous recommendations and was incredibly friendly. We started with the cheese curds and Bavarian pretzels with yummy beer cheese and horseradish mustard dip. So good! For dinner, the Northwoods Salad is delicious with salmon or chicken, we had both! The arugula adds a nice little spice. The Nordic Blu Salmon was yummy with brussel sprouts and potatoes with a cauliflower purée. Of course, all the Leinenkugel's beer Barrelman is my favorite and you can only get it here at the Brewers! We heard the churros are incredible... but we were too full. Leinenkugels Barrel Yard is the place to be at Am Fam Field. A working brewery and restaurant indide the ballpark is genius. They have revamped the restaurant, with the upnorth modern supper club vibe. This scratch kitchen is serving WI favs; steak, burgers, fish, fried chicken, and, of course, gooey cheese curds. There is plenty of seating with a prime view of the 3rd base side. You can sit inside, outside on the patio area or at the bar. Plus, the location is just steps away from the main pro shop. There's a quaint party room for rent that holds about 25-50 people. The Brew Room is equipped with its own buffet, small bar, tvs & patio to watch the action. Event staff can help with all details. I enjoyed a juicy burger, French fries, fried onions, churo doughnut & bourbon bacon. Everything was fresh and tasty! The refreshed ambiance, service & food get two thumbs up. Here's the thing. I love the location, like, how cool is it that you're at the field? Its awesome. Our bartenders Andrew and Sarah are THE BEST! I would come back just for them, over and over again. The beer selection is nice (no IPAs, but thats ok by me). We had the cheese curds - delicious. I only knocked a star off and listed I would maybe recommend it to people because they were hosting an event while we were there. It took over most of the restaurant. They made us give up our seats at the bar (luckily another opened right away so we were able to just move over), they had people talking on microphones so it was loud and I just feel like they should have warned us or closed the bar to regular guests. Such a unique experience! We found this through a beer pass and love Leinenkugel beer, so this was a must for us! The space was great - we ended up sitting outside around the field. I can't say we've had an experience like it, and I can only imagine how fun watching a Brewers' game here would be! Food wise we had to try the cheese curds! Our trip was focused on good beer and good cheese / cheese curds. We were fans, and liked the lighter batter. The beer was so fun! We are from the KC area, so we can get a few Leinie options, but obviously being at the source we had more options. We found out they had some options only brewed for the Barrel Yard, and given the variety of choices I had to go for a flight. Shockingly good! We did the excellent tour of AmFam Field and were ready to head out to find lunch when we decided to look at the menu for this place. We decided that though a bit pricey for lunch we would give it a try since we could get an outside table overlooking the field. Since there was no game this day the entertainment was the grounds crew. The only downside was the dozen workers power washing the stands so we had constant noise during our lunch. We had to wait a few minutes for a table since a big group had arrived before us. Once seated out waitress helped us quickly - check in with Yelp and get a free tap beer! Our drinks arrived and we ordered. The food was a bit slow coming out due to the big group who got in the queue before us. They had a good lunch special - 1/2 a sandwich and one of their small salads for $12. A number of us got this with a pastrami sandwich and their Northwoods salad (including apple and candied pecans). The portions were pretty decent and the food was very good! And it was a good deal. Highly recommended for lunch. And highly recommend the tour. read more

What a great place to go for a casual lunch or dinner on non-game days. The place is massive with a huge indoor area and bar along with an awesome patio overlooking left field. It's super modern, bright and airy inside and of course the views from the outside are great too. Game days - you need a regular ticket and if you want patio seating you need a special ticket. Non game days - you can just walk in. As for the food, the biscuits were AMAZING as were the churro doughnuts. The fried chicken was super crispy and seasoned well. And of course you have to get the hanging bacon for the gram. The menu has a ton of options from burgers, sandwiches, salads, to main entrees like steak and salmon. read more

Have come here before a few games. It's a nice outfield bar restaurant with a great view of the field. Last night we came in and I had the chicken tenders on biscuits and they were pretty good. Another time we had pretzels and then I had the burger and both were good. There are some large TVs and we were able to watch the bucks game before the brewers game. OMG - terrible customer service and experience. I went in during a Brewers game and it wasn't even half full - a ton of empty tables. When I asked to be seated they said, "Can we talk you into sitting at the bar?" The bar doesn't even face the field - why on earth would I pay good money for a playoff ticket to watch it on TV. Then, they asked if I would sit a high top and that there was a limit of how long you could sit there. Mind you, there were a TON of empty seats and tables - so many available. The hosts looked annoyed - as if I was bothering them, but not sure why. I just wanted to sit and watch the game and grab some food/drink. They finally sat me at a place i really couldn't see the game - because there was a table of people in front of me - they were there when I got there and there when I left (so the "time limit" for some isn't enforced, apparently, because I stayed the entire time). My serve seemed annoyed to be working. She brought my bill before I was even done ordering so she had to run it again. The food was okay - I got a brat flight - I thought you actually got three brats as a sampler like you do at other Milwaukee places. It wasn't - it was 1/3 of three different brats, so basically one brat for $19. I would NOT recommend you going here during a game - don't know if you can buy tickets for the front seats so you can actually see, but the employees were so rude. read more

TL;DR- I ate here with friends and we ALL got food poisoning, one bad enough to send her to urgent care. DO NOT EAT HERE. I went with a few friends during the game (yay free tickets through someone else's work!). The service was bad, the food was overpriced and meh, but I was not going to leave a bad review. Sometimes things need to shake down for a bit. It's a new restaurant and sometimes there's a bad launch, it just means the place needs to find it's groove. It happens, so I try to give new places the benefit of the doubt. The reason I'm writing this review is ALL FOUR of us got food poisoning. We didn't even share an appetizer. We all had different meals and didn't eat off each other's plates. This was the only meal we'd eaten together and we were all violently sick after we ate here. None of the spouses or kids who stayed home got sick. One of my friends got so ill she had to go to urgent care and the Doctor confirmed it was food poisoning. I can handle mediocre food at high prices- it's kind of expected at an event location. I can handle rough service at a new restaurant. If one or maybe two of us got sick, okay, we could have caught a bug, but when all four people who eat at the same place, two with iron stomachs, end up puking for hours afterwards with days of... ah, other end evacuation as fast as possible? No. It was NOT worth being glued to the toilet with a fever for three days. DO NOT EAT HERE. Send your enemies, maybe, if you really hate them. I love the new restaurant at the ballpark! The menu is delicious and filled with great comfort foods. It's a great place to watch the game - you can even buy game tickets on the patio. When I have family come visit from CA, this is where they want to buy tickets for every time. They love the elevated ballpark food especially the fish n chips and the cheese curds.
