Dr. Morgan is caring, kind, tender and most of all knowledgeable. He listens to what I have to say and what my concerns are and then he does his examination and we discuss the possible diagnosis or diagnosis's together until we come up with one final diagnosis and he treats it as necessary. He makes me feel comfortable enough to tell him my mommy MD hypothesis and if necessary ask for whatever meds I think my children need. I will not leave DR Morgan until all 3 of my kids are too old to be seen in pediatrics anymore, and even then I'm going to bribe him to change fields of medicine to family medicine. Thanks for being so GREAT Dr Morgan. Jennifer Ballard Dreyson Ballard LeDoux and Lonaye Ballard LeDoux read more

Rude, insensitive staff and a physician that does not take the specific needs of the special needs patient into consideration. Overhead nursing staff making disparaging remarks about my neurodivgernt son who had little understanding what was going on. read more

Dr Morgan has been my daughters doctor since birth. He has always been thorough. She had requested a female doctor recently. But none were available until after the start of the school year and she needed her vaccinations. During her seventh grade physical, he asked if he could examine her breasts. I said No. she was incredibly embarrassed and scared. It made ME very uncomfortable. We won't be returning. read more

Excellent DOCTOR, Dr. Morgan is as good as any doctor. He has always been very thoughtful and caring to our kids. We have been very fortunate to have him in the area. read more

Did an emergency check up one time to see why my Baby Jayden won't eat and won't take the bottle. So doing so, they scheduled me to see him cause the Pediatrician we had for Jayden wasn't there. I would say he wasn't gentle with him. Too aggressive. Being a newborn and not used to the atmosphere. Trying to throw sticks when he was checking his mouth and startling him; making him cry. I don't think that's a good children Pediatrician. You suppose to be caring, gentle, patience, and calm. He does talk loud; just want you to make a notice of that. I know guy doctors could have a huge vocal voice, but you don't have to be so loud. He did inform us his symptom that it is Thrush; sort of like a cold sore for baby's. So he gave him medicine. read more

I am thrilled to see that Dr Morgan is still practicing in the area. I couldn't be more supportive of his knowledge and genuine care for the children and families he encounters. My daughter began as his patient as an infant and he helped our family tremendously. He's great with his patients and their parents. Always cheerful and encouraging. I've recommended him many times over the decades since he was first in the area. Your kids couldn't be in more capable hands. .... read more

Dr. Morgan and Dr. Im take superb care of our three daughters. I highly recommend him -- we interviewed several pediatricians before we chose him and what most impresses me about him is how much he stays on top of the latest medical advances and vaccinations. read more

This Dr. Doesn't like you to ask questions. Which is weird since john Muir's moto is that they listen.. He pushes his agenda and will not hear otherwise. Would not recommend him if you are proactive in your children's care. read more

An amazing Dr. I refuse to go any other Dr.. He listens to my concerns and acts on my maternal instincts and with all 4 of my children. My only complaint is that he does not do grownups. I doubt I will ever find another Dr. quite like him. read more

We just had the worst experience ever with Dr Morgan at John Muir in Pleasant Hill. He seemed like he was on something. He was so rough with my baby boy, it literally took us more than an hour to calm him down after the appointment. I'm so mad. My boy is only 9 months old. And he's tiny! This doctor said he was malnourished (which can't be right because we feed him so much, fruits veggies, hemp seeds, lentils, beans , you name it). He goes on to grab boxes of formula and throws it at my husband and says "here's 1, 2 better yet 6 boxes of formula. Feed your child!" He THROWS it at my husband! I'm totally shocked by our experience and I'm switching him out of John Muir immediately.. I'm so shaken from this. My boy was screaming because the doctor was so loud, rough and obnoxious and especially after he saw this random guy throwing boxes at his dad, he's probably going to have anxiety going to the doctors again. When he was examining my son, he moved him too fast and his head bumped on the rail of the bed. Then he did some sort of scrotum test and squeezed it, and that made my boy cry even more. Then he goes on to say that we shouldn't worry about him crying, he just doesn't want to be "manhandled" (HIS EXACT WORDS). Omg what the heck just happened?! I've never had a doctors visit like this before! read more

Dr. Morgan is fantastic! His staff is wonderful, helpful and friendly. I've been taking my 4 year old to this office for almost three years and Dr. Morgan has seen us through every one of my daughters asthma attacks and ear infections. Through it all he is always kind, informative, patient and so friendly with my daughter. I trust him and so does she. Dr. Morgan was a recommendation of one of my daughters teachers who took her kids to see him till they were grown. I know why! read more

I have found my childrens' pediatrician at last! I refuse to go to anyone else. He is super knowledgeable and has great motherly instincts. Your children will be in great hands with this doctor as he attains a wealth of knowledge in medicine. Straight to the point and no BS. He has a sense of humor which people mistake as rudeness but that is all to the contrary! read more

I love Dr. Morgan as my children's pediatrician. He knows my kids and their personalities well, and he has had the exact same staff of nurses and office personell since he became our doctor in 2004, which makes the kids very comfortable. We really feel our kids are well cared for and it gives us great piece of mind to have such a patient and caring doctor. read more

I just stumbled onto this website and had to respond. I couldn't say enough good or kind words about this Man, this wonderful Doctor. In 1985 he came to work with my long standing but retiring Pediatrician. Our first meeting was an emergency situation and I instantly felt at ease and reassured that my little boy would be alright. That was not to be, at least not right away. The Doctors at UCSF, in San Francisco, CA. credited Dr. Morgans quick and insightful actions with saving his life. My Son is grown now with a little boy of his own and Dr. Morgan is his pediatrician ... That makes me feel great, I know my Grandson is in good hands. Thank you Doctor Morgan, we are lucky to have you. May you have your practice for a long, time to come! read more

Dr. Morgan is a great doctor. He was my doctor from when I was 14 - 19 till I got pregnant with my son then had no choice but to go to someone else n he is now my sons dr. He is very nice and will explain everything to you about what's going on with your child and how it may have happened. I know a few people that go to him and all agree with me. The staff is very nice and the office is very clean. I will be having my son go to him as long as he is in practice. If your looking for a good dr. For your child I recommend him with out a doubt. read more

Dr. Im is amazing! She is very thorough, covers all details, and answers even the silly questions a first time mom has. I'm new to Concord area and used yelp to help me decide on a pediatrician before I had my daughter. Scheduling appointments is quick, waiting time has always been minimal, and thankfully even the few times I've been a tad late they always see us. Dr Morgan is very thorough and to the point, he listened to my concerns when I thought my little one had an ear infection and took action immediately. I love these two doctors and their staff is wonderful! read more

I have been taking my children to Dr. Morgan since my daughter was an infant, and since my son was born, fast forward 16 years now that we have stayed with Dr. Morgan and the nurse's staff as our Pediatrician's office of choice! Even when I have moved over an hour away from his office, unless it was an emergency I would not change my children's pediatrician. I am mother, only 35 to a 16 year old and a 6 year old, so being smack in the middle, I am not a younger mother nor an older mother and let me say to those that have written negative comments, what I noticed in your comments, is that he was new to you, in either an ER situation or first time recommendation, and you are entitled to your opinion, but I will completely disagree with you in your review and for others looking for a long standing pediatrician. Dr. Morgan is no nonsense, tell you like it is, get to the point kind of Doctor, and after all don't you want an accurate diagnosis? Don't you want your child to get the proper care and recommendations? Or do you care more about bedside manner to a point where the Dr. should feel 'lucky' you decided to bring your child to his practice! ? Please...if you want that go to some holistic Doctor down the street with their calm soothing voice so you feel like you are on a magical island, your researched plan you found on the internet and do outside the norm treatments then go for it! Dr. Morgan however only wants to give you the facts/research of information not the, what if's and maybe's of an issue. He has always been great with my children, my son who is allergic to the world (literally), and has asthma and eczema, Dr. Morgan found a treatment plan that worked for my son, and he is growing out of these issues (well except for the allergies to nuts and things we can't control), but his asthma and eczema has extremely improved. My children are very comfortable with Dr. Morgan and his staff! Can't say enough about the nurses, they know who I am as soon as I say my first name, I will be sad the day my son is no longer considered a ped's patient. Thank you Dr. Morgan and Nurses staff! You make going to the doctor easy, fast, and most importantly peace of mind knowing we are getting the best care and treatment plan! Oh and Dr. IM is also great! We have gone to her for my daughter now that she is older, and she has also been wonderful, cannot say enough about everyone in this office! read more

Had a well visit with my baby and I felt bullied by him, having a plan of care that differs from what is the "norm" I voiced what my plan was, and how I had reached this decision. He completely tried to discredit everything I was told by other doctors actually doing the research in the subject - and made a statement about how he knew for a fact that some things didn't cause this (even thought the specialists themselves can't make that statement and it's still unknown what causes it) Also, in the midst of me voicing my questions and concerns: he proceeds to examine my son without any gloves on! he takes off his diaper and starts examining the penis (roughly) and I notice a wart looking thing on Dr. Morgan's right thumb!! which he is pressing this part onto the babies penis! ?? wtf?? let me just say: if you have anything that looks questionable as a health care professional, I feel that it needs to be addressed or simply put on some freaking gloves!! oh and to show that this is not just "playing the game" or whatever reason this got edited out: I also sent complaints to the medical board so they can send some people to "shop" this DR - any of the people I have told the whole story to, (because he was throwing around the papers he had to give to me) and much more... say:" You need a new Dr." and "he seems to have gotten the God complex" ... read more

Let me start with the front desk having poor and lack of communication with me, I had call to make an apt for my daughter with Dr. Im for a rash that appeared immediately after applying vicks on her and on top of that she had a cold for a week prior, no fever present only in the beginning of her cold who was my daughter's doctor and they failed to inform me that she was out of town so my husband brought my daughter in to find out they are seeing Dr. Morgan which we were unhappy about since it wasnt the first time we seen him but my daughter and husband was there and went through with the visit as excepted Dr. Morgan rushed through his exam, didn't perform a full and accurate exam, and most importantly he misdiagnosed my daughter. He told my husband she had the "baby measles" also known as Roseola along with a ear infection in both ears, as first time parents we expect the Dr to explain to us what kind of illness or disease my daughter is dealing with. Of course Dr. Morgan fail to do so and sent my husband home with no instruction/ info sheet/ discharge sheet of some sort and told him my daughter will be fine in a couple days. For us to hear the word "measles" we panicked, I was taken out of work. This mistake has caused me wasted time and money. I'm not surprise Dr. Morgan's performance and attitude towards my family, I questioned it due to the fact the rash had gone away immediately after her visit with Dr.Morgan which clearly tells me it was the vicks reaction and have he have known that if he taken the time to listen to our concerns in the beginning instead of trying to rush through the visit. Misdiagnosing with just looking at her bumps and not even listening to her lungs and heart, not running any tests is a big deal to us and the public since we thought it was measles! This is not the first incident my family and I been experienced this type of lack of professionalism and communication in this office. So with this happening again I was furious! Brought this concern to the office manager's attention immediately. I seen a different doctor for a second a opinion to find out that yes she has a ear infection and no MEASLES! of some sort, she has prolonged URI and on the way to recovery. I don't recommend Dr. Morgan because he is unreliable, untrustworthy, not patient, careless, rude, loud, you're not allow to ask questions or talk, stubborn, and unprofessional. The manager had explained to me that "He doesn't mean any harm and that's just the way he is" well the way he is doesn't suit me or in a child/family environment which he should be more patient and caring for the parents and his patients. In the end all I got from Dr. Morgan and the manager are all excuses why he did what he did and I believe there are no excuse to misdiagnosed anyone! I dont have a yelp account and I signed up for this reason to inform parents about my horrible experience with Dr. Morgan and this particular office and hopefully it doesnt happen to you and your child/children. read more
