AMAZING, amazing business. My family moved into our new home in June 2020 and we soon encountered…read morewater coming in through a foundation crack and our bulkhead door. All I had to do was text pictures to Luc and he swiftly responded with what needed to be done & up-front prices (which were very reasonable + includes LIFETIME Warranty). Extremely pleased with their work and professionalism! The foundation crack repair had 1 tiny hairline crack spawning off the side that was still letting in a little bit of water when it rained heavy - I text Luc and his team was out at our house NEXT DAY to quickly remediate (free of charge). Needless to say they stick to their word and guarantees - In other words, they VALUE their customers! Just rained ALOT the past 2 days - ZERO Water/moisture from the crack! Can't say enough good things about them. HIGHLY RECOMMEND for any foundation-type repairs that need to be done in your home! Will use them in the future for sure, if the need arises!

I was able to send photos with attack-a-crack, get an estimate and schedule the repair over email and phone. The person that came to perform the repair was very professional and provided detail on the process and how it seals the foundation. It has been about a year since the repair, and we have had several heavy rains with no leaks. I would 100% recommend this company.

After some gusty days, I found our chimney's rain cap in my backyard, which was the push I needed…read moreto look into finding a contractor for long overdue work on our chimney and front steps. See the before pictures for the chimney, I don't have one handy for the steps, but the mortar was missing from between a lot of the bricks, and the limestone slabs were wobbly and not adhered to the step anymore. Chris responded to the request quickly and came out for an assessment, providing estimates both for a repair and a full rebuild of the front steps, and a repair of the chimney. Both very reasonable and in line with estimates from other businesses. We spoke last Friday, Chris had the formal contracts to me by Sunday, and the team was here first thing Tuesday morning working on the steps. They worked quickly but thoroughly, and were on to the work on the chimney by mid-day Wednesday. Once they were up there, they noticed some issues that weren't visible from the ground view, and Chris walked me through it with the photos and quickly got a revised estimate for what it would look like to do a rebuild of the chimney versus the repair, while also indicating that they COULD still do just the repair, but recommended rebuilding, since he knew we'd be looking to also redo the roof soon. They managed to do the full take down of the chimney to just a few bricks below the roof line and rebuild it back up by the end of the day Thursday, and came back Friday just to install the rain cap and clean up the the materials from the demolished chimney and stairs. Our new steps and chimney look great, and I'll definitely be keeping Kings' contact on file for paving/masonry/foundation work we might need in the future!

I enjoyed working with Attack A Crack (Mike and Matt) on my basement foundation crack sealing…read moreproject and would hire them again if I ever have a new project. Since my work was more proactive in nature rather than dealing with an active leak that needed immediate attention, it's unlikely that I will ever know whether this investment was worth it (vs. someone who has an active foundation leak who has no choice but to deal with it). It's tough to compare their price to some others since everyone wanted to do different things (i.e. some were going to inject in to each hairline crack whereas Attack A Crack didn't feel some would benefit from injection due to being too tiny, some preferred epoxy and others preferred poly, both having pros and cons, and Attack A Crack adds a cosmetic / additional rubber seal layer on top which some of their competitors don't bother to do). Some of the other competitors prices for the amount of cracks I had would have made my many additional cracks less money and some had the same price for poly vs. epoxy. In the end, I chose to go with epoxy vs. poly for a few spots (this was my decision to add on this cost, not something Attack A Crack tried to get me to pay more for) and add on one more location, but since one or two of the cracks were tiny, they also ended up adjusting the total cost to help, so in the end, it was a probably a wash. In summary, I would say that prior to add ons (my choice), the cost was pretty similar to competitors, whereas Attack A Crack spent more time on a final presentation layer, at least one competitor claimed some of my minuscule hairline cracks could have benefit from epoxy. I have no idea which company was right. The experience with Attack A Crack (Mike/Matt) was positive from start to finish.

Pioneer Basement Waterproofing - iBIS Switch - Reliable Sump pump switch

Pioneer Basement Waterproofing

We live at the top of a hill, and we've all heard water runs downhill so we shouldn't have a leaky…read morebasement problem, right? Ha! After watching the (ground level) window well in my front yard fill entirely with water one incredibly rainy day about three years ago when I happened to be in the "cellar," and then let go with all of the water seeping around the frame and down my wall... well I finally understood that damp & musty smell my basement always had. Btw, the spot is not directly under the window but off to the side which is why I always thought water was seeping in through the foundation on the side wall where the stain mostly is (water does move downhill haha). Pioneer Basement responded quickly, gave me several options and quotes, and made financing easy. We decided about two years ago to waterproof only part of the basement since that's the area that is usually damp. We also went with the thermal vapor wrap on that part of the wall, and added the dehumidifier which was optional but recommended. Completely solved our problem - and ended the musty scary haunted basement stink entirely. Fast forward to now. I'm again randomly in the basement (for an internet wiring issue) and notice the absolute faintest but-still-I'm-not-imagining-it damp smell. Yup, after another of the crazy rains we've had this year, and... not at a wall but once again about a foot away from another ground level basement window, a small puddle. Of course, it's at a spot without the drain, sump pump, vapor wrap we'd invested in for part of the basement. Once again, Pioneer Basement sent an estimator over within a day or two - polite, knowledgeable, and quick to deliver multiple quotes (finish the full perimeter, do a smaller portion, consider adding window enclosures to tie into the drainage system...) and financing options. This is a company that delivers a high quality critical product, with a great warranty, at a fair and equitable price. They offer exceptional customer service. Your basement will thank you for having them do your waterproofing. And you'll never need to be scared of opening that cellar door again.

Exceptionally poor, slow-to-no response in simply scheduling an appointment. Took the time off of…read morework only to receive a call just before the difficult-to-schedule appointment to inform that the appointment was cancelled, claiming the one person in the entire company who could do this work was out sick. They would not return the (steep, expensive, overpriced) deposit via the card they charged upon our request, instead saying they could send another person same-day as the appointment after all -- despite supposedly having only one staffer specializing in the particular work we had scheduled out sick (the things that make you go hmm...). Gut feeling told me not to trust their work at that point. The company being too cheap to pay the transaction fee to refund the card they charged for the deposit, instead they issued a refund check needing to be cashed at their specific bank. Absolute refusal to refund the card we paid the deposit with. We cashed the check same day, questioning whether the company had even enough cash on hand to refund us (not a joke). Instead of apologizing for the whole miserable ordeal as business and customer service etiquette would dictate, instead they demeaned us for becoming upset over some really seriously bad bad bad customer service.
