The recent Easter arrangement I sent to my Mother-in-law was a significant disappointment. The arrangement did not look fresh nor professionally done. The floral foam was displayed in a clear glass container that was supposed to have a decorative leaf wrapped around the foam to dress it up. Instead, a 1" ribbon was tied around the glass that just made the arrangement look "home-made" and not in a good way. I emailed the company to ask that a replacement arrangement be delivered, but I received no response. I won't be using them anymore. It was over $100. There were some substitutions, as you might expect during a major holiday. It just ended up with a very different look from what I ordered and not something I would have ordered. Plant never arrived and when my wife contacted the flower shop to inquire about it was told (yelled at) rather defensively that the order didn't print off automatically and 'I didn't have time to stand by the computer yesterday checking for the email. We had a very busy day yesterday. I cannot help it that the order never printed off". My wife told the person she was working with (Maleese?) that she needs to be more compassionate to the grieving and have better customer service. My wife told the person she felt like she was yelling at her. From my perspective, the person was yelling, was very rude and not helpful. I was in the room when my wife was on the phone and I could hear the person yelling. The person said she didn't have a wicker basket for the plant that my wife ordered and asked if it was alright to wrap it instead. My wife told her to do whatever si had to with what's available si it can be delivered. It was decided that the plant be delivered at the church for the funeral this morning, under an hour to go before the service. We do not recommend this florist for your more immediate, last minute needs especially not for visitations and/or funerals. No one needs to be more upset and disappointed than they already are when grieving the loss of a friend or loved one. People who work in the industry of spreading joy, really need to be people of integrity, compassion and excellence. My wife is brokenhearted and I pray no one else ever is treated the way she was treated by this florist this morning. It's just wrong.
