I see from the reviews that my experience is not uncommon. I have ordered flowers 4 or 5 times from Julie's over the last few years. It is hit or miss. The recent Easter arrangement I sent to my Mother-in-law was a significant disappointment. The arrangement did not look fresh nor professionally done. The floral foam was displayed in a clear glass container that was supposed to have a decorative leaf wrapped around the foam to dress it up. Instead, a 1" ribbon was tied around the glass that just made the arrangement look "home-made" and not in a good way. I emailed the company to ask that a replacement arrangement be delivered, but I received no response. I won't be using them anymore. It was over $100. There were some substitutions, as you might expect during a major holiday. It just ended up with a very different look from what I ordered and not something I would have ordered. I needed flowers at the last minute for a dinner party I was attending that evening. I came in around 4pm and the two women working were so friendly, kind, and helpful during my purchase experience. They were a strong reminder as to why shopping local is so important. The store had lots of little gifts and interesting items in addition to floral arrangements. This is the second time we have been disappointed with Julie's Artistic Rose. The first time I discussed with the owner the poor quality of the flowers received. Instead of offering a solution, the owner made me feel like I was at fault. Yesterday we received a floral arrangement from an out of town friend. A friend's grandmother passed and I wanted to send flowers as I wouldn't be able to attend the wake or funeral. Not being from the area I googled and yelped and found Julie's Artistic Rose. I love when I can handle things online. I talk for 8 hours for work on a phone, I don't want to do it in my spare time. I chose my arrangement and was even able to choose the funeral home from a convenient drop down menu. There was even a space to put in what time the services started. Order placed. The day of the wake I received an email an hour before the start of services saying the flowers had been delivered. My friend and her family loved them and said they were beautiful. Additionally there was no delivery charge (which can be outright outrageous for floral delivery) and there was a coupon code applied automatically to my order which was a pleasant surprise. I live two hours away from Moline and I wanted some pretty flowers delivered to my daughter for her birthday. I ordered the larger bouquet that ended up being $118 total and the bouquet I got looks like maybe a $40 bouquet in the picture. I was told that it would come in a container that looked like a birthday box but it was just delivered in a plain vase. I told them that she liked pink flower so I wanted some pink roses. It had two pink roses in the bouquet and then some other small flowers. Very disappointed in this bouquet and I will never use this florist again. My son's freshman year of high school we had another corsage ordered and it was horrible. At the last minute these amazing artists created a corsage that saved the day. We haven't gone anywhere else since for boutonnières or corsages. They are so helpful and absolutely fantastic to work with. He's now a junior and going to his first prom - his date wants the dress to be a surprise- so I don't have a dress to show them the right shade of fuchsia. Immediately they had solutions on hand so that it will look stunning and he won't have to worry. What more could you ask for? I had my wedding flowers done from here and I have never been so disappointed in my life. I have never seen such a horrible job done on wedding flowers. From not returning phone calls and emails from the beginning I should have known better that I should have gone elsewhere. The owner just kept promising me that it would be perfect, she promised. Then she had the audacity to blame me because the morning of my wedding I viewed 4 centerpieces and was told they weren't done and I had given my approval. The owner even admitted that she did not approve of the job of the designer but let them leave her store anyway because I should have spoken up when they got delivered to me 2 hours before my wedding!!! Then she agreed to refund my the inflated price for my bouquet of $180 and because she has written down the payment info she called and accused me of not wanting to pay her! The prices were over the top for what I received for the lost important day of my life! If I could review without even giving one star I would have! read more

Purchased $75 worth of flowers online for my mom's birthday. I never received a confirmation of purchase. The day they were to be delivered they were delivered at the very end of the day. I face timed my mother and when she showed me the product I thought I had purchased online according to the picture, I was so sad and horrified. I live out of state and just wanted my mom to have a huge Bouquet of flowers. What she received was about $25 worth of flowers, a cheap $5 vase and that was it!!! This place deserves nothing but 0 stars! I have never received such unprofessional customer service. From SALLY!! I purchased an arrangement from 1800 flowers for my mother in-laws birthday. I purchased the LARGE arrangement. I was surprised when I received the picture of what was delivered to her. It was clearly smaller than the picture I seen on the order and was not worth $80! And on top of it some flowers were dead. I called 1800 flowers to complain. They told me they would srnd another one out. The florist SALLY called my mother in law and told her thats what was ordered and she will not receive another arrangement. Number one you should call the card holder. Not the person receiving the GIFT. I called Sally and she was extemly rude. Did not once apologies for anything. She called me HONEY. which is very unprofessional in any customer service. Then she told me I was complaining so I can just get my money back. I have never been mis treated like this before. It's not about the money. It's the purpose of wanting what I ordered and pages for. This flower shop shpuld NOT be representing 1800 flowers at all. They will loose customers quick. I called them again and they went with another florist ( thank god!) That is delivering it today! Outstanding service! I live in Arizona and am not familar with the area but wanted to send flowers to my boyfriend's mother for Mother's Day. I chose Daisy Dreams because she loves yellow. The online ordering was easy and I received a confirmation via email. I received a call from his mom today. She was thrilled with her bouquet and also that they sent her a box of chocolates apologizing that the flowers weren't delivered yesterday. She was sooooo happy! I just called to order flowers for my daughters birthday (She lives in Moline and I am in California) the lady that answered the phone (sorry I didn't get her name) was SO completely helpful and nice that I wanted to give her a shout out. The flower arrangement I ordered was not the one delivered. The contact was of no help and has insisted the correct arrangement was delivered and that she gave me a "good deal". It's not a good deal if it's not right. She sent me a picture of what she thought I ordered which barely resembled what was delivered. She offered me a 25% discount on my next order with them as a compensation which I will not be needing. This is an FTD florist and an FTD arrangement. read more
